Chapter 419: Family Inheritance

During dinner Massimo was seen smiling continuously, showing his arrogance to Gina who was very shocked when she found out how much wealth he had. Plunging into the world of casinos and bars really made Massimo a source of money that would never die. Now Gina understands where Massimo’s arrogance comes from.

"Why was it just messed up earlier, honey?" asked Massimo feigning innocence.

Gina looked up at Massimo. "I lost my appetite."

"Why, why is that? Is it because the food isn’t that good or..."

"Because of you, Massimo. I lost my appetite because of you, don’t talk to me anymore. I’m not in the mood to talk to you."

Instead of being angry, Massimo actually laughed out loud at Gina’s words. Tears even came out of the corners of his eyes from laughing.

Seeing how happy Massimo was making Gina even more upset, she felt the world was unfair. How is it possible that people who already have extraordinary physical perfection like Massimo still have to be blessed with abundant wealth, wealth that even exceeds that of the Spanish king King Rafael who was a friend of Massimo’s late father Matthew del Cano. Thinking that Gina’s head hurt.

"I’m tired of being in the hotel, I want to breathe fresh air," said Gina quietly suddenly.

Massimo, who had just stopped laughing, raised an eyebrow. "Tired, want some fresh air?"

"Yes."

"How about we go around Madrid tonight, would you like to?"

Brak

Suddenly Gina hit the table hard with both hands because she was too excited. "I wanna do it!!!"

"Relax babe...don’t overdo it, we’re in a restaurant. Look around you," said Massimo pretending to be surprised, rebuking Gina’s excessive attitude.

With a flushed face, Gina sat back in her chair, trying to avoid the disapproving stares from the people in the restaurant. With her head down, Gina grabbed the glass that was on the table and downed it until it was empty.

Feeling sorry for Gina who looks very guilty, Massimo then grabs Gina’s hand and invites her to immediately leave the restaurant. Gina, who was already feeling embarrassed, just gave in when Massimo pulled her out of the restaurant.

Gina just stopped her steps when she arrived at the hotel lobby, Massimo, who was already in a serious conversation with Martin, left Gina sitting alone on the sofa. After five minutes Massimo returned to Gina who was still in the same sitting position when Massimo asked her to sit down.

"Martin is getting the car ready for us," Massimo said softly.

"Car?"

"Yeah, do you really want to walk around this town?"

"Not bad."

"Really bad, a lot of rotten mafia roaming this city. I don’t want to take the slightest risk, especially when I’m with you," said Massimo firmly. "I could lose anything but you."

Massimo’s last words succeeded in making Gina’s cheeks red as tomatoes, her chest felt warm hearing those words that sounded very beautiful.

Seeing Gina blushing made Massimo happy, it felt like he was willing to trade whatever he had right now to see how beautiful Gina was, his face was flushed with embarrassment.

Gina and Massimo’s time together had to end when Martin came, the bespectacled man came after running to the sofa where the master and his wife were sitting.

"Your car is ready, sir," Martin reported, slightly out of breath.

Massimo smiled. "What car?"

"Bugatti La Voiture Noire, sir."

"Not bad, then let’s go," said Massimo quietly as he grabbed Gina’s hand and asked her to leave immediately.

Arriving at the front door of the lobby, Gina was surprised by the presence of the car that was previously mentioned by Martin. The metallic black car with an open roof looks very luxurious and attracts the attention of anyone who sees it.

Gina gently squeezed Massimo’s arm. "This is too much, Massimo."

"Too much, too much of what?" asked Massimo in surprise with one eyebrow raised.

Gina swallowed slowly. "The car, I think using a normal car is enough."

"Massimo del Cano in a regular car? Really?"

Gina took a deep breath when she realized her mistake, she forgot who Massimo was. There is no ordinary word in the dictionary of a Massimo, the man has given special standards for every item he uses.

Can’t wait to amaze Gina with her driving skills, Massimo then invites Gina to get into the Bugatti La Voiture Noire that Martin has prepared.

"Pablo and I will follow you behind, sir," Martin said politely.

"No need, I want to go alone with my wife. You guys just get some rest, I know that you are all tired," said Massimo firmly rejecting Martin’s initiative.

"But sir..."

"I brought my own gun, Martin. Don’t worry," answered Massimo quickly, as quickly as his hand pulled up his jacket and showed the black gun that was tucked in there.

Seeing the presence of a Glock 20 pistol that was on his master’s waist made Martin nodded slowly, after Martin calmed down Massimo then started his car.

"Put on your seatbelt, honey. You don’t want to be thrown out of the car, do you?"

"Huh, thrown out? How fast are you going to drive this car?"

Massimo chuckled amusedly, he didn’t expect Gina to take his joke seriously. Without speaking, Massimo then put a seat belt on Gina’s body. After making sure Gina was safe, Massimo then stepped on the gas pedal of his car towards the streets of Madrid, which were still very busy even though it was quite late in the day.

Gina, who was still stunned by her shock, seemed to be silent when Massimo increased the speed of his car. Gina still couldn’t believe that Massimo was willing to buy a sports car from the owner on the side of the road as easily as he bought a snack. When she found out that Martin actually bought the car she was driving at this time, Gina didn’t talk much, she really didn’t understand Massimo’s mindset.

"What are you thinking? Why are you standing still?" asked Massimo in surprise.

"Let’s return this car to its owner, Massimo."

Massimo immediately turned to Gina. "Returning this car to its owner? I’m the owner of this car..."

"Massimo, look ahead!"

Gina closed her eyes with her hands gripping the seatbelt tightly around her body when she saw a car coming from the front, Massimo, who was reliable, easily made a rescue. Without difficulty, Massimo managed to get past the car that was overtaking carelessly and passed several other cars.

"Jesus...almost."

Massimo chuckled. "Your husband is the best driver baby. You don’t have to be so scared."

"You can’t be afraid? You’re crazy, Massimo. We almost collided with a car that was overtaking carelessly earlier," said Gina curtly.

"Almost, not really colliding, right?"

Gina shook her head staring in horror at Massimo who seemed to have no fear at all.

"You’re out of your mind, Massimo."

"Right and you are the main reason I lost my sanity."

"Ish, why are you blaming me? Let’s just end this unproductive conversation, just drive well. I still want to enjoy life longer," said Gina curtly.

Massimo laughed amused, instead of reducing the speed of his car Massimo deliberately increased the speed of his car. Gina, who realized that the speed of her car was increasing, preferred to tighten her grip on her seat belt and focus on looking ahead at the road. Gina didn’t want something like that to happen again.

"Massimo, please lower the speed of your car. I’m really not ready to die," said Gina in a choked voice because of her panic after seeing the numbers shown by the car’s speedometer at this time.

Massimo looked back at Gina and smiled faintly. "Who wants to die anyway? This car is well designed to be driven fast, after all who would be driving a Bugatti La Voiture Noire at low speed. Nothing dear."

"Whatever the explanation I don’t care, all I want now is please slow down this car. I really could die of a heart attack, Massimo. Do you remember that my father had a history of heart disease?"

Gina’s words succeeded in making Massimo’s desire to speed disappear, with a tense look on his face Massimo slowed his car and stopped it at the edge of a deserted bridge. As soon as the car actually stopped, Gina immediately unbuckled the seat belt that fastened her body tightly and rushed out of the car to empty her stomach which had been churning since Massimo was driving the car at a speed of 320 km per hour.

"Huekkk..."

"Babe!"

Massimo immediately jumped out of the car as soon as he heard Gina start to vomit, without being instructed Massimo then massaged Gina’s neck gently. Gina, who hasn’t eaten anything since just now, only vomited water from her stomach, but even so she still looked very exhausted.

"Let’s go to the hospital, shall we," said Massimo softly.

"No need, I’m fine anyway."

"Are you all right? You’re throwing up, honey."

Gina, who was wiping her lips with a handkerchief, looked at Massimo with emotion. "It’s your fault, for speeding and almost getting me hit by a car."

"Why is it my fault," said Massimo confusedly as he scratched his head which didn’t itch.

****

Gina opened her eyes and suddenly she felt a severe headache that made her wince, it made Gina close her eyes again trying to neutralize the pain that suddenly hit her while remembering the cause of experiencing such a severe headache attack.

Massimo, he’s the only reason he gets the pain that makes her unable to open her eyes.

"Massimo, that annoying man must be responsible for this pain," Gina muttered quietly.

Gina managed to remember what Massimo had done last night with his new car bought by the roadside from the owner, after eviscerating on the bridge, Gina again had to surrender to let Massimo drive his car again at high speed on the streets of Madrid. Massimo only decided to return to the hotel when morning was approaching, and an already too tired Gina couldn’t remember the last time she was awake. Her last memory was of feeling her body float in the air before finally lying on the soft and comfortable bed.
