Chapter 410: Trying to understand Massimo

"Understand?"

Massimo’s question managed to bring Gina out of her shock.

"Now you understand why I forbid you to work? I don’t want my beautiful wife to be seen by others, whatever the reason. That’s why I ask you to stay at home, be a good wife to me. other than shopping for luxury goods at the mall or spending time in salons or beauty clinics, as long as you are under the supervision of my subordinates you can do all that," said Massimo softly again.

"I just want..."

"You can do whatever you like, I won’t stop it. But not with work, I won’t allow that."

"B-but I just wanted to experience what it’s like to make money, Massimo," Gina said quietly.

Massimo chuckled. "For what? Didn’t you feel that way the first time you came to Barcelona working at the chicken shop owned by the policeman’s wife, huh?" 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

"Yeah but that’s different, I used to be just a part-timer. What I want to feel is really work, like other career women."

Massimo took a deep breath. "Ok, we’ll talk about this later. Now accompany me to go."

"Where to?"

"Meeting someone."

"Somebody?"

"My business partner, he just arrived in Almeria last night and has been making a lot of noise asking to see you since this morning," Massimo replied softly as he smoothed Gina’s slightly messy hair.

After making sure Gina was back in her best appearance, Massimo then invited Gina to walk to the elevator. Being back in RedDevil made Gina remember her meeting with Lucas a few years ago after she married Massimo, Gina was grateful that she didn’t accept Lucas’ invitation at that time to leave Massimo.

As soon as the elevator stopped, Massimo gently wrapped his arm around Gina’s waist again. The two of them continued walking towards the car that was waiting for them, as usual when Gina got into the car Massimo always put his hand on Gina’s head to keep it from hitting the hard car body.

Throughout the journey Massimo played with Gina’s slender fingers while talking to Martin, Gina herself who did not understand Massimo’s conversation and his right hand chose silence while recalling Massimo’s words a few moments ago when they were still inside RedDevil.

"Come on down," Massimo said quietly to Gina who was already prepared.

"Answer my question first, who are the people we will meet today?"

Massimo smiled. "He’s a nice guy, don’t worry. You don’t have to worry."

"Do I know him?"

"It could be."

"Massimo!"

"Don’t talk too much, let’s go downstairs. My friend is very talkative, I don’t want to hear his chatter while we eat," said Massimo again.

Having no other choice, Gina finally complied with Massimo’s will to get out of the car. Being in front of a fancy restaurant made Gina grateful because she didn’t choose the wrong clothes, it would be very awkward if she got the wrong clothes.

"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Georgina," said Milos Djokovic politely as he took Gina’s hand before finally landing a kiss on the back of her hand, as he usually does when meeting other respectable ladies.

Gina tightened her grip on Massimo’s right arm because she felt awkward, in her entire life Gina had never been treated like this from another man.

"Just act normal to my wife, Djokovic. She is not comfortable getting formal treatment like this," said Massimo coldly as he pulled Gina’s hand from Milos Djokovic’s grip.

Milos Djokovic smiled a little. "Calm down, sir. I wouldn’t have dared to mess with your beautiful wife, now I understand why you have always refused to be paired with other beautiful girls."

"Paired up with another girl? What does that mean?" asked Gina curiously.

Milos Djokovic’s smile grew wide, without fear Milos Djokovic grabbed Gina’s hand and asked her to sit down leaving Massimo who didn’t like seeing Gina being pulled around like that by another man.

As soon as Gina sat down, Milos Djokovic then told Gina everything that Massimo had done so far.

"It’s not just supermodels that Mr. Massimo rejects, top artists also have to be willing to bite their finger because they was rejected by Mr. Massimo. None of those beautiful women have managed to get Mr. Massimo’s attention," Milos Djokovic said softly with a big smile looking at him. the direction of Massimo who was giving him a murderous look.

"Is that true?"

"Yes, on several occasions Mr. Massimo always said he already had a goddess whose position could not be replaced by anyone else," replied Milos Djokovic again excitedly. "And it turns out that what Mr. Massimo said it is true, you really are like a goddess, madam. Beautiful and graceful, it’s only natural that Mr. Massimo is very crazy about you," he said again praising Gina sincerely.

Gina’s cheeks reddened at Milos Djokovic’s exaggerated words, her chest felt warm when she learned of the fact that all this time Massimo had always refused to be paired with any woman when he was attending an event.

Massimo smiled lopsidedly. "Don’t keep talking nonsense, Djokovic."

"I’m not talking nonsense, what I’m saying is true that all this time you have always refused to be paired with any woman except..."

"Expect?"

"Except when reading the nominations with Ivana Borisova the hot pianist a few weeks ago," said Milos Djokovic again, the Serbian-Russian blooded man did not notice the change in expression on Gina’s face that looked displeased when Ivana’s name was mentioned.

Massimo growled in annoyance. "That’s different, at that time I was framed by the organizers of the event who immediately paired Ivana Borisova with me without asking permission."

Milos Djokovic burst out laughing. "Don’t do that, sir. I feel guilty for forcing you to come to Paris."

"Tch, just realized that you’re a pusher?"

Milos Djokovic laughed loudly again, talking to Massimo really made him feel more alive.

The arrival of several waiters who came to bring food succeeded in making Massimo regain control of Gina after Milos Djokovic had previously kept him in check, even though he knew that Milos Djokovic was married and had three children. But Massimo didn’t want to play with fire, he didn’t want to give Milos Djokovic the slightest chance to get to know Gina better. Gina is hers no one can get more value than Gina.

During lunch, Milos Djokovic changed the content of his conversation with Massimo. Seeing how Massimo kept Gina sitting beside him made Milos Djokovic finally realize that Massimo was really serious about Gina.

Not far from where Massimo and Gina were sitting, Ivana Borisova was seen eating alone. Wearing sunglasses and a round hat that is large enough to make people not recognize her. Ivana, who initially only wanted to order coffee, finally changed her order after seeing Massimo and Gina’s arrival, her curiosity about Massimo had not disappeared. Although last night she and the manager received unfriendly treatment from Massimo, Ivana still hasn’t given up, for Ivana a Massimo is just like any other man who will be tempted by a woman’s beautiful body.

"I’ll change the way you view your wife, Massimo. I’ll make you hate her."
