His innocent wife is a dangerous hacker.-Chapter 474 Terrifying
Jay stood there with fire in his eyes that didn’t need shouting to scorch everything in its path. He didn’t care about politeness or reputation or whether Jessica cried. He had watched Bella grow from a shy, gentle girl into the woman she was now. He had seen her laugh until she cried, and he had seen her break in ways that still made his chest hurt. There was no universe, no reality, where he would spare the people who had hurt her.
He took a slow step forward, his jaw clenched tight. His voice was low, but it cut through the room like a knife.
"You’re sick," he said, looking right at Jessica as if she were something dirty on the floor. "Even after you knew she wasn’t your daughter, you still used her. You still treated her like a thing. What if she hadn’t married my brother? What if she’d ended up with someone... worse?" The very idea made his skin crawl. His Bella didn’t deserve any of this. No one did.
Jessica’s lips quivered, her eyes wide and wet, but Jay didn’t even blink.
"Disgusting," he spat out. "I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone as disgusting as you."
Sam flinched at that, but Jay didn’t spare him either. His glare slid to the man like a second wave of fire. "And you—you blindly believed every lie she fed you. You didn’t even question it. A grown man letting himself be manipulated like a puppet."
Jace stepped forward beside him, calmer but just as deadly, his voice carrying a cold heaviness that made Jessica’s stomach drop. "And don’t act surprised now. You brought reporters outside Leo’s home... you wanted a show." He lifted his phone slowly, letting the screen glow in their faces. "Too bad the show didn’t go the way you planned."
Jessica’s hands shook. "W-what...?" 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
"Look carefully," Jace said, turning the volume up.
The phone showed the live broadcast: their house being inspected by authorities, cabinets opened, drawers overturned, reporters pointing cameras at everything. Bags of suspicious powder. Wads of illegal documents. Screenshots of dirty deals.
Everything exposed.
And right there, on the screen, a reporter said—
"Isabella Moretti was exploited by her guardians for financial gain. Evidence suggests years of manipulation and emotional abuse..."
All the color drained from Jessica’s face. Sam stumbled back a step, like the air had been knocked out of him. The room suddenly felt much, much smaller.
"You see it now?" Jace said gently, but there was no kindness in his tone. "You brought reporters hoping to corner Leo. But you forgot something."
Jay stepped forward again, one hand in his pocket, one pointing directly at Jessica like a final verdict.
"You picked a fight with the wrong man."
Jessica’s knees trembled. Sam’s hands went numb.
Jay leaned in close, his voice dripping with disgust. "Bella is safe now. Leo protects her. And we protect her. So whatever you thought you’d do... whatever you planned earlier... consider it over."
Jessica collapsed fully onto the floor, her whole body shaking with silent sobs. Sam just stood there, staring blankly at the phone screen, watching his whole life fall apart.
"Josh. Krish," Jace said, without looking away from them. "Take them both to the basement."
Two huge men in black suits stepped forward instantly. Jessica let out a piercing scream, mascara running down her cheeks as she thrashed wildly. Sam struggled too, but one twist of Krish’s arm and he went limp in pain.
"No! No—please! Bella! Bellaaaa!" Jessica sobbed, her heels scraping against the polished floor.
But Bella wasn’t here to hear any of it, and Jay didn’t even blink.
As the guards dragged the trembling woman away, Jay finally exhaled, brushing a loose strand of his soft pink hair behind his ear. But his smile... that wasn’t soft. It was stretched too wide, too sharp, the kind that could make a grown man feel cold down to his bones.
"I guess you both forgot," he murmured, his voice lazy but lethal. "Who I am. Who my brother is. What we do to people who hurt our family."
Jessica’s sobs grew louder. Sam stumbled, fear turning his face chalk-white.
Jay walked slowly behind them, hands in his pockets, his steps calm and rhythmic—almost cheerful. It was terrifying.
"You thought..." He tilted his head, smirking. "Our reputation was fake? Just for show? Cute."
Jessica whimpered. Sam looked like he wanted to throw up.
Jace stood stiffly beside Jay, watching the scene unfold. His expression was colder than usual, but there was also something else, a flicker of shock.
He had known Jay was reckless. Sharp-tongued. Too confident. But this... this was a different level.
"Jay," Jace said quietly, stepping closer, "authorities are already searching for them. We shouldn’t—"
Jay cut him off with a laugh.
Not a normal laugh. It was loud, sudden, delighted like someone told him the funniest joke of his life. His pink hair bounced as he threw his head back.
"Authorities?" he snorted. "Please. I already planned everything."
He leaned in toward Jace, his voice dropping to a dark, smooth whisper. "I hired two people. Look-alikes. Perfect copies of these two. They’re going to ’try to run away’... and have a very bad, very final accident on the road." He tapped the side of his head, looking proud of himself. "Makes sense, right?"
Jace blinked, stunned. He had never seen this side of Jay.
Jay’s eyes gleamed as he looked down the hallway where Jessica and Sam were being dragged.
"And before we send their little twins on that trip..." he smirked, cracking his knuckles, "let me have some fun."
Jace’s stomach tightened. "Jay—"
But Jay only grinned wider.
"My brother can play with them later," he said casually. "But for now... it’s my turn."
He started walking again, his whistle echoing—cheerful, light, chilling.
He didn’t even look back as he said, "You can follow me if you want."
Jace stood frozen for a moment, watching the men he thought he knew disappear into the darkness with a smile that didn’t belong to any normal human being.
And he realized—
Both brothers were two-faced.
Both were terrifying.
