Chapter 1505: Chapter 423: Confidence

The night was deep and cold, but the warmth of interlocked fingers surpassed the chill of the wind.

——

The next morning! Mu Mansion!

"Dad! Mom! It’s time to get up!"

"The sun is shining on your butts already!"

The siblings were at the door, knocking hard with their heads up and shouting.

Mu Yichen helplessly laughed beside Qin Mu, and Qin Mu suddenly chuckled too.

——

By the time the two of them went downstairs after finishing their business, the two little ones were already sitting on small stools in the living room, holding bowls and eating. When they saw the two come down, they immediately lowered their eyes and focused intently on drinking their porridge.

"Oh dear! Slow down! Be careful not to burn yourselves!"

Feng Fanghua watched from the side, unable to help but remind them anxiously.

The siblings were afraid their dad and mom would find out it was them making mischief by knocking on the door, so they didn’t dare breathe out loud.

When the two sat down on the sofa, they greeted Feng Fanghua first, then looked at the sibling pair.

"What have you done to feel guilty? Your expressions are so tense!"

Qin Mu couldn’t help but say lightly as she tilted her head, looking at their little faces.

The siblings didn’t raise their eyes, scraping the last grains of rice clean from their bowls.

Mu Yichen sat by, watching, his dark eyes glancing at the siblings before looking out the window.

Now, the old man, with the butler, was outside practicing again, seemingly in good spirits.

"Where’s my dad?" 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

Mu Yichen looked around and asked.

"Your dad went to the factory early this morning, said he had some clients coming over and needed to have breakfast with them."

Feng Fanghua explained, though she wasn’t happy about it, but Mu Zihao was always meticulous with such matters, so there wasn’t much she could do.

"What did you two go out for so late last night?"

Feng Fanghua asked them back.

"Yesterday, Jiang Zhiyuan and An Nan got their marriage certificate, so we all went to celebrate at night."

Qin Mu responded.

"That fast?"

Feng Fanghua still felt a bit hard to accept, as the Jiang Family had not informed them in advance.

"Yeah! They decided on the spur of the moment, so probably the family elders just found out too!"

Qin Mu explained again.

"You young people are really something, such a big decision like getting married, and yet you always rush into it."

Feng Fanghua sighed helplessly and began chatting with Qin Mu.

Qin Mu awkwardly smiled, while Mu Yichen leisurely turned his head to look at his wife; some things really do require impulsiveness.

If he hadn’t acted on impulse, Qin Mu wouldn’t have become Mrs. Mu so quickly; how long would they have continued to hide their feelings for each other?

After breakfast, everyone went their separate ways to keep busy. Qin Mu worked from home, calling Xiaomei to bring materials over.

Xiaomei drove her small car to the Mu Family, almost unable to find their main residence, but finally relieved to find it. She sighed in relief and took the materials when she got out.

"Is this Miss Xiaomei?"

The housemaid came out to greet her.

Xiaomei politely nodded to the stranger: "Yes! Hello!"

"Hello! Our young mistress is waiting for you upstairs, I’ll take you there!"

The maid said as she led the way for Xiaomei. Xiaomei looked up at the building, raising her eyebrows slightly, but quickly followed the maid’s steps.

Upon reaching the upstairs, the maid knocked on the study door: "Young mistress, Miss Xiaomei has arrived!"

"Come in!"

With a drawing pen in hand, Qin Mu worked more swiftly, quickly finishing the drawing just as Xiaomei came in, spotting her focused on the canvas, so she habitually remained silent at first.

The maid went to get snacks and drinks for them. Xiaomei waited beside her for two minutes before Qin Mu finally completed the drawing. Placing the pen aside, she looked up at the girl waiting across from her.

It was fine until she looked up and noticed Xiaomei’s large eye bags, a clear sign of lack of sleep.

"Are you alright?"

Qin Mu softly inquired.

Xiaomei placed the materials on the table, unhappily tilting her chin up and looking at the table edge with drooping eyes: "It’s not like you care about me! Should I even tell you if I’m okay or not?"

From her words, Qin Mu understood she was upset about not being escorted to the crowded apartment last night and sighed lightly in helplessness: "Then don’t tell me!"

Qin Mu said this and then brought the materials before her, taking the stack out of the bag and carefully reviewing them.

"You really don’t care about me anymore! You don’t worry about me at all!"

Xiaomei pouted, about to cry.

Qin Mu instinctively looked up again, gently smiling in resignation: "I care about you so much that I put you in Zhao Huai’s car, unless you tell me you really don’t want to be with him, that you really don’t want to get in his car."
