His Beloved Treasure-Chapter 1483 - 417: Five Million (Part 3)
Qin Mu thought to herself.
"Hmm! That works too!"
Feng Fanghua thought about it, and rather enjoyed being pampered by her daughter-in-law, especially in front of so many people.
Qin Mu accompanied Feng Fanghua into the elevator, along with a few other ladies, including the one who sat at the same table earlier. Noticing Qin Mu’s unfriendly and aloof expression, the lady smiled and said, "Fanghua, you really have a wonderful daughter-in-law!"
Feng Fanghua was momentarily startled, then heard someone else say, "That’s right! So young and filial."
"Didn’t someone just say I looked old?"
Qin Mu couldn’t resist questioning, feeling she had to speak up.
Instantly, those ladies were a bit embarrassed, and some lowered their heads.
The elevator felt a bit cramped all of a sudden, Helian Hao was in the corner trying to suppress her laughter, knowing that when Qin Mu started confronting people, she was truly impressive.
Qin Mu had heard Feng Fanghua complain about these ladies at home, but Feng Fanghua never spoke ill of others publicly, especially not directly in front of them.
"What makes you look old? What’s going on today? Such a bad temper!"
Feng Fanghua curiously glanced at Qin Mu, questioning her with a light smile.
"I was just angry hearing people say I looked old!"
Qin Mu said softly, her eyes on the girl at the table who had commented on her being thirty.
The girl awkwardly lowered her head, having heard of Qin Mu’s reputation for being formidable, but didn’t expect to be put in such a spot.
"This kid!"
Feng Fanghua chuckled, looked at the embarrassed expressions of those ladies, and suddenly had a realization that made her expression cool a bit.
With Qin Mu’s personality, she’s usually too lazy to talk to outsiders, but today she wouldn’t stop, thinking about how determined Qin Mu was to escort her downstairs, she suddenly had an understanding.
At the hotel entrance, Feng Fanghua got into the hotel’s luxury car, Qin Mu stood by, watching her leave before turning, not looking at anyone else, and walking to Helian Hao’s side, "Let’s leave it for today, call me later?"
"Hmm! You were amazing today!"
Helian Hao agreed, then leaned to whisper in her ear.
Qin Mu couldn’t help but smile, linking her arm, tilting her head as she greeted the ladies in the car, "Goodbye, Aunt Jing!"
Jing Feng’s mother nodded to her, and after Helian Hao got into the car, Qin Mu also headed straight back, head held high.
The ladies still waiting for their cars had even worse expressions involuntarily.
"What was that about? How a junior could speak so boldly, completely disregarding us elders."
Someone expressed dissatisfaction.
"Forget it, don’t let others overhear, this couple is notorious for being ruthless, we should leave quickly!"
Someone was concerned about trouble.
So once their cars arrived, everyone quickly left in their own vehicles.
Once upstairs, Qin Mu went straight to the room where Mu Yichen was leaning against the headboard, reviewing documents with his legs alongside the bed.
On the table by the window, there was fruit placed, Qin Mu went over, picked a grape and popped it into her mouth, then took another to Mu Yichen’s side, "Open your mouth!"
Mu Yichen opened his mouth, Qin Mu fed him the grape, then tilted her head to peek at his documents on his shoulder, and those things gave her a headache just glancing at them, so she immediately moved to the other side and lay down.
"Today those old women were really too much, Mom was speaking on stage and they were below criticizing her."
Qin Mu sighed, unable to resist venting a few frustrations to him.
"So you confronted them throughout the meal?"
Mu Yichen turned to her, hand lowering to stroke her recently loose soft hair at her head.
"Hmph! I was only confronting them verbally, already giving face to this charity event."
Qin Mu was still displeased, angry just thinking about it.
"What did they say?"
Mu Yichen curiously asked, wondering what made his wife so upset.
"They said Mom was showing off on stage relying on you and Dad."
"Mom indeed took money from the pharmaceutical factory this time."
Mu Yichen thought about it, responding to her quietly.
"So what? Was the factory founded by Dad alone? We all know they started it together when they were young."
It means, if the factory belongs half to Dad, it belongs half to Mom too.
Mu Yichen couldn’t help but chuckle, his gaze at her growing increasingly tender.
"Silly!"
"You’re the silly one!"
Qin Mu couldn’t help but look at him, feeling a bit soft under his gentle gaze, but still couldn’t resist retorting.
