Mu Yichen had no idea she had returned to the room because the door to their daughter’s room was open. He even perked up his ears to listen, but he almost fell asleep without hearing Qin Mu return.
After Qin Mu finished her shower, she lay on the bed and nearly dozed off. But he hadn’t come back yet, and the bed felt cold. She felt as if her legs were so cold they were losing sensation, so she habitually got out of bed to find him.
He wasn’t in the son’s room. Qin Mu walked in to look at the little guy who was sound asleep, surprising to find him still sweating in his sleep. Qin Mu raised her hand to wipe him gently, then tucked him in again. After she exited, she softly closed the door and then went to the daughter’s room.
Her hand lightly rested on the daughter’s door, and as she raised her eyes, she saw inside.
Her daughter’s door was open. Standing at the entrance, Qin Mu saw Mu Yichen curled up at the edge of their daughter’s bed, back to his daughter, holding himself in a light sleep.
"Mu Yichen!"
Qin Mu called him with a bit of grievance.
Mu Yichen drowsily opened his eyes, raising his head to see the woman standing at the door rubbing her eyes, looking a bit aggrieved. He then sat up suddenly, as if in a dream, glanced behind him, and then tousled his hair.
He had fallen asleep!
"Are you not planning to come back to the room tonight?" Qin Mu asked him, sounding a bit sad.
"My legs are so cold!"
Without waiting for his response, Qin Mu added another sentence to him.
"Your legs feel cold? What’s going on?"
Mu Yichen asked her and then got up, walking towards her.
"I don’t know, it’s just that both my calves are icy. Could it be that time of the month? But it doesn’t seem like it’s time yet!"
Qin Mu muttered, her chin puckered slightly, looking like a child who had lost favor, as he approached.
Mu Yichen came forward, a bit regretfully bending down to touch her calves, which were indeed chilly.
"Let’s discuss this back in the room!"
Standing beside her, Mu Yichen said.
"Were you really planning to spend the night in our daughter’s room if I hadn’t come to call you?"
Qin Mu couldn’t help but ask him.
"I accidentally fell asleep. When did you return to the room?"
Mu Yichen asked her, as he had been diligently listening the whole time.
"Half an hour ago!"
Half an hour had passed, yet he hadn’t fallen asleep at all, and he only slept for a few minutes.
Even the two elders quietly left the kitchen, fearing they would disturb the two of them, making as little noise as possible when closing the door.
After Qin Mu finished speaking, she raised her arm: "Will you carry me or give me a piggyback ride? I find walking difficult now, and both my feet seem to have lost all sensation!"
Mu Yichen...
He could only carry her back to the room. Once there, he filled a basin with water, placed her feet in it, and gently massaged her calves in the water.
"Your period just ended less than half a month ago, so it’s definitely not that. Did you eat something you shouldn’t have today?"
Something she shouldn’t have eaten?
Qin Mu sat on the bed, listening to Mu Yichen’s words, pondering carefully. She did eat a crab leg today, but everything else she usually eats, and she never reacts to seafood, so it shouldn’t be related to the seafood.
"If it’s still like this tomorrow, we should visit the hospital!"

Qin Mu whispered, her eyes straightforwardly fixed on him.
Perhaps it was because it was late at night, Qin Mu’s entire heart felt soft.
Even though he was mad at her, at least he was aware of her discomfort, tending and worrying in various ways.
"Are you still mad?"
Mu Yichen just raised his head to glance at her, then ignored her again. Qin Mu thought about it, then asked him once more.
"How could I dare get mad at Mrs. Mu? The whole Mu Family, from old to young, would be against me!"
Mu Yichen spoke wearily, continuing to massage her attentively.
"Could you sit beside me? I feel much better now, and soaking a bit longer will have me fully recovered."
Qin Mu couldn’t see his face clearly, but listening to his words, she felt a bit of heartache.
Mu Yichen raised his head again: "Mrs. Mu, what do you really want your husband to do? Hm?"
He clearly seemed a little helpless, yet not angry, just looking at her with those indulgent, tender eyes.
"I just want you to hold me, is that okay?"
Qin Mu chuckled softly, her face slightly blushing, though perhaps it was from the hot water in the foot basin.
Since that thing was going to happen later anyway, might as well now, she could tease him, seduce him, to make him satisfied.
Qin Mu suddenly felt that the whole family helping her bully Mu Yichen seemed a bit much!
"Of course, it’s okay! But Mrs. Mu, there are some matters I think I need to seriously discuss with you!"
Mu Yichen half-squatted on the ground, his dark eyes gazing at Qin Mu, deep and inscrutable.
