Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master-Chapter 214 Palace Of Moon
Zack and Lance suddenly appeared in front of another palace, this one even grander than the one before.
The palace was as high as the tallest building on Earth, the Telsa Towers which was almost fifty percent taller than the Burj Kahlifa. It was so tall and grand that the last palace was put to shame despite it belonging to the ruler of heavens.
Zack had no idea why someone would want a palace as tall as that unless and until they had hundreds of people living inside. Zack knew very well that the number exceeded hundreds and perhaps even went beyond hundred thousand.
'The palace of moon. The only known place where the remaining members of the moon race live.' Zack thought silently as he remembered that vampires, werewolves and all kinds of other creatures that were much stronger in the night lived inside the palace.
Such beings were like any other normal human in the day but when night approached, they would become exceptionally stronger.
During full moon nights, they would reach the apex of their power and would be some of the most dangerous beings that Zack had ever known about.
This was also the place where Emma had come off to so that she could complete her quest.
[ It is her home, right? ] Lance asked slowly as he could feel the connection between him and the rest of their friends reestablish.
But now, he no longer wanted to contact anyone since he had understood why Zack had done what he had done.
He was more interested in knowing about the palace and what the two of them were about to do now that they had appeared in front of it.
'Yes, this is Emma's home. She had escaped from it back then and had met me on the human lands. I still don't understand how she managed to do such a thing and yet broke down in the human lands.' Zack replied as he was slowly starting to remember older things.
The continents or rather the place which had been called so far was actually just a small part of Hikari.
Hikari in itself was a word which was not only used to represent light but was also used to refer to the worlds that had been defeated and brought under one banner.
The fairy realm, the palace in front of Zack, the four continents, etc. were parts of Hikari and Earth too was heading in the same direction.
Usually, the control of such lands would have been in the hands of the heavenly emperor or at least that's how the mission had originally began. ƒ𝐫𝒆𝐞w𝗲𝚋𝗻૦𝘷e𝙡.c𝑜𝙢
But the heavenly emperor had been killed during the war, that too by Zack and Wukong. They had hoped to free the worlds that had been conquered but something unexpected had happened then.
'Back when we were close to freeing the worlds, Mordred had done something and had gotten the control of all the realms. That's all I know till this point.' Zack finished before advancing towards the palace.
The strange thing about it was that it was the only structure visible from their location and the rest of the area around them was covered by trees.
It looked identical to the forest surrounding the capital of Eizenburgh kingdom but opposite to that capital, the forest only went around in circles and would keep bringing a person back to the front of the palace.
It was a strange thing how such a palace made up an entire realm but Zack firsthand knew how big it was from the inside.
Even though he had only visited it once, Zack was sure that the inside of the palace and not smaller than one of the continents from the human lands.
'Lance, we are here to make sure that the ruler of this palace hasn't been infected by the same thing that made Mordred what he is now.' Zack finally told Lance the reason for his visit as the Phoenix snorted.
[ I know that's just an excuse to get here and help Emma do whatever she has to do. And I know that if she is captured, we are going to blow up the entire palace. ] Lance replied as Zack lightly coughed but didn't say anything.
After all, he couldn't exactly say that Lance was wrong.
'Well, let's hope that it doesn't come to that.' Zack replied before he hurriedly took Chastiefol out. "Spirit Spear Chastiefol, fifth form, Cape of Invisibility."
The golden spear suddenly turned into a black mystical cape which fell into Zack's hands. He quickly wore it before making his way to the entrance of the palace.
There he saw multiple guards standing straight with white bands around their wrists. Some of the guards had extremely pale skin which marked them as vampires while some had transluscent skin which marked them as ghosts.
Though these ghosts were humans who had been born as a result of a union between a human and a special group of people from the moon palace.
Zack also noticed a few other species present between them but he walked in front of them carefree. It was as though no one was standing guard at the entrance.
None of them seemed to notice him as he walked right inside the palace due to the gates always being left open.
[ Sometimes, I wonder if you got this form due to its usefulness or because of you being a secret pervert… ] Lance muttered as Zack kindly ignored his words and looked around.
The interior of the starting floor was kept quite basic and matched those of palaces from Earth.
There was only a really long hallway present on the first floor which led to hundreds of lifts on the other side, each leading upwards for those who couldn't fly inside the palace and had to go up to do things on the other floors.
Zack had originally thought of flying up the palace but then remembered how flying had went the first time he had appeared in the palace.
That experience was enough for Zack to chose the lift over flying but the problem was that to enter the lift, he would have to identify himself as a citizen of the palace of moon.
All the others living in the palace didn't need to bother with this as a formation embedded inside the lift auto checked their bloodline and confirmed their identity.
Zack was trying to think of a way to do it when Lance suddenly interrupted him.
[ Shift with me. I will take you up the palace without letting anyone recognize or identify us.]
