I’m actually an old hand, I’ve been writing for a full ten years.
The total word count I’ve written, it’s definitely over 30 million words.
But this is the second official book to be launched on Qidian, a few years ago I was writing mostly wireless novels, and two years ago I even had a ’big shot’ tag next to my pen name, but unfortunately, I didn’t write for too long and it got removed.
To say I don’t want it back would be a lie, but who’s to say for sure.
As a guy in my thirties competing with those youngsters, I’m probably not that capable, I just want to take advantage of the little fuel left in my tank to write the stories I’ve always wanted to write.
Of course, the core is to take the opportunity to rake in your money, gotta make a living after all.

Some people say the pace of this book is too slow.
The common pace is to rebirth to the end of the college entrance exam, or even when the scores are out, and the university admission letter has arrived.
But this book starts from a month before the college entrance exam.
The truth is, I really haven’t written even a single unrelated plot, every event is laying the groundwork, for earning money, for life, for learning.
Initially, the editor told me that having the protagonist aim for Qingbei might be too high, might be hard to relate to, difficult to write.
Actually, there is indeed this aspect, the protagonist’s roommate is a top student, the classmates around them are top students.
How could such people be written as antagonists? Learning is justice!
In fact, I didn’t plan to write any antagonists, up till now, the protagonist’s homeroom teacher barely counts as half an antagonist.
Liu Dayou is an extremely selfish person, setting aside the entangled interests, he’s actually a competent teacher.
He would also be slightly relieved because the protagonist turns back around.
But ultimately, nothing can outweigh the importance of interests in his heart, step by step heading towards darkness. The contrast between the Liu Dayou at the start and the Liu Dayou during this period is actually an expression of his selfish nature.
Many people have said that even if the protagonist goes to Qingbei, it’s useless, he can’t keep up with the pace of learning.
This point I admit, compared to real geniuses, there is still a big gap, even compared to Jiang Banxia, there’s a big difference.
But if you don’t strive, how would you know you can’t do it?
To ensure the protagonist can rightfully stay at Qingbei, I’ve actually laid quite a lot of groundwork, and it will gradually unfold.
Your comments have been quite helpful to me, for example, discussions about some human nature, parenting, sometimes I don’t think thoroughly, I rely on comments to help expand and enrich the story.

Lastly, one more thing, I’m not good at writing filler, this book is expected to end at 2.6 million words, unless you all scream for me to write till the end of time, otherwise the outline can only support this many words.
