Vekszune speculated that Hong Lin must not have been secretive enough when using that drop of Kiss of Death, leading Huang Yi to acquire this intel.
What Vekszune didn’t know was that when Hong Lin was stealing the Divine Nectar in The Second World, he didn’t use that drop of Kiss of Death. Instead, he left it in the underground laboratory of the Blood Castle, intending to breed a new drop of Kiss of Death using a Demon Bottle there and left someone to guard it.
After stealing the Divine Nectar, Hong Lin immediately returned to the First World to present it to the clan leader, the Gorgon. When he returned to the Blood Castle in The Second World to retrieve the Kiss of Death, he found that it had vanished, along with the person he left to guard it.
This was an unbearable major loss!
Hong Lin already had an ineffective task, failing to steal the real Divine Nectar. If the Naga higher-ups found out about this incident, he wouldn’t survive. Hence, he concealed the information, lying that the Kiss of Death was used against a Demigod expert of the Demon Clan.
