Heroes' Prison-Chapter 1093 - 1037: Pain Cult Master
Huang Yi was already filled with curiosity about the Blood Castle before. He had intended to explore it, and now, as he headed to search for Nagas in this direction, he spurred the soul warhorse beneath him forward without hesitation, despite knowing the dangers inside, flying deeper into the legendary blood-colored plains.
In Ancient Times, the entire blood-colored plains were basically within the realm of the Blood Castle. The Blood Castle was like a kingdom, containing plantations, wineries, artificial lakes, scenic mountains, castles, gardens, and various other facilities.
Bloodhoof was like a king, residing in the most central castle, served by tens of thousands of servants who cultivated lands, planted estates, brewed fine wines, and more.
But ever since Bloodhoof the Ascendant died, the Blood Castle became desolate. Those servants vanished overnight, the gardens quickly became overgrown, and the estates that once planted crops gradually reverted to wilderness, becoming part of nature.
At this moment, the blood-colored earth swiftly receded below, a barren landscape in sight with no animals present. The blood-colored moonlight shone upon Huang Yi and the soul warhorse, casting a shadow that swept over the ground.
"Whoosh!" Suddenly, a blood-red light abruptly shot up from the earth like a column of magma erupting from a volcano, rushing toward Huang Yi.
The soul warhorse’s pupils contracted, quickly flapped its wings, and managed to shift a distance aside!
The blood-red light brushed past Huang Yi, surging into the distant clouds, leaving a blood-red streak in the sky, like a wound in space.
Huang Yi’s heart skipped a beat, instinctively reaching to touch his arm where a faint pain tingled from the gust stirred by the blood light.
He crouched low, lying on the back of the soul warhorse, cautiously peeking down toward the ground below.
On the ground below, a mouth resembling a volcanic crater had appeared unbeknownst to him, the blood-red light just erupting from it.
Earlier, Huang Yi hadn’t noticed this crevice in the earth, yet as he passed, it suddenly cracked open, spouting blood light toward him like a trap.
This Blood Castle is indeed perilous; Huang Yi had only just entered and already unexpectedly encountered an attack.
No wonder throughout history, no one has been able to completely explore this area. Had it been an ordinary person instead of a master like Huang Yi, that blood light would have claimed their life.
Huang Yi continued to urge the soul warhorse forward, but with much slower speed than before, his nerves tense, prepared for danger at any moment.
...
Countless miles away from Huang Yi, nestled in a primeval forest, stood a massive Demon Palace.
This entire Demon Palace was constructed of immense black stones, exuding an ancient and simple nature, emanating sinister demonic qi, enveloping the entirety of the forest in a misty and eerie atmosphere.
Known as the Temple of Agony, this Demon Palace was the base of the Demon Clan on the Blood Moon Continent, though only those of the highest ranks in the Demon Clan were permitted entry.
At that moment, a figure emitting a dense aura broke through the mist, descending onto the giant stone steps of the temple, rustling the leaves on the ground.
This figure was clad in a red monk’s robe, with a red monk’s hat on top of his head, and held a red Zen staff, his whole body radiating a mysterious religious aura.
Upon his arrival, the entire temple seemed to shrink in stature, unable to withstand his presence.
This person subtly carried the traits of a Pain Acolyte, yet obviously at a higher level. Typical Pain Acolytes are bald and wear black monk’s robes, but this person wore a red monk’s robe, a monk’s hat, and held a Zen staff.
Within the entire Agony Demon Sect, only one person was qualified to do so, and that was the Pain Cult Master—Groer the Remnant.
He was a Demigod Expert, holding a high position, having been a capable assistant to the Queen of Agony for several eras. When the Seven Archdemons invaded, it was he who conquered the Blood Moon Continent.
Groer the Remnant expressionlessly leaned on the Zen staff, stepping into the temple. The staff striking the ground emitted a rhythmic "tack-tack" sound, resounding throughout the temple, bringing an incomparable sense of oppression.
After entering the temple, he reached a vast hall, standing calmly.
The Temple of Agony is primarily divided into three sections, besides the central hall where Groer the Remnant was, there are also the Left Hall and Right Hall.
In the Right Hall, Ling, the leader of the demon clan on the Blood Moon Continent, was sitting cross-legged on the ground, holding a scripture in their hands, engrossed in chanting. Chanting is when they are most focused, absolutely not to be disturbed, even subordinates must wait until they finish chanting to report anything.
But at the moment Groer the Remnant arrived, Ling’s body suddenly trembled, as if sensing something, hurriedly putting down the scripture and rising to step out quickly.
Soon, Ling arrived at the central hall, lowering their head before the man, bowing respectfully, saying: "Greetings to the Cult Master."
"Where is the leader of the insect clan?" Groer the Remnant asked mildly.
"Sorry, sir, I’m late!" As soon as the words were spoken, a respectful voice came from the left hall of the temple, and an insect clan member flapped its wings over, stopping beside Groer the Remnant with head lowered—it was the insect clan leader, Zhuo Yehuá.
Though both Ling and Zhuo Yehuá are within the Temple of Agony, they distinctly reside in the Left Hall and Right Hall, not interacting with one another.
Groer the Remnant waved a hand, producing a round meatball covered in slime, handing it directly to Zhuo Yehuá, saying: "On your journey from the insect clan’s star system to here, you lost quite a few people. This is a special ovum given by Her Agony Majesty, which you, being a male bee, can mate with to birth a new batch of larvae, supplementing your manpower to brew Divine Nectar more promptly. Her Agony Majesty has restricted the timeframe to one month to acquire the Divine Nectar. If you fail to complete the task, I need not explain the consequences. Mating with this ovum will consume all your energy and you will enter a state of severe weakness, but if you can successfully complete this task, upon seeing Her Agony Majesty, she will surely provide generous rewards."
"I will act quickly!" Zhuo Yehuá exclaimed with ecstatic joy, immediately taking the ovum and carefully storing it.
Despite his seemingly elevated status among bee insects to outsiders, he was not esteemed enough to mate with Her Agony Majesty, but only with the ovum bestowed by her.
Yet even so, it was a Heaven Sent opportunity. If he could see Her Agony Majesty and receive her rewards, he might directly leap a step on the Road to Ascension, achieving Three-Step Ascension, or even a higher position.
Beside him, Ling gazed enviously at Zhuo Yehuá, biting their lip, feeling somewhat envious.
Groer the Remnant’s gaze swept over Ling and Zhuo Yehuá, saying: "Recently, the Seven Archdemons are about to crown three new kings. Currently, the Eighth Great Demon King and the Ninth Great Demon King have arrived on the Blood Moon Continent to accomplish something crucial. Assist them with any requirements they have here. Once they have completed their business, they will soon be crowned by the King of Hell, then they will be the esteemed Demon Kings."

Sorry for the potential instability in updates recently. Originally, I had completed the final interferon injection two days ago, ending a two-year treatment regimen, but today I suddenly developed a fever and felt extremely weak. Unsure if it’s a relapse or possibly gastrointestinal bleeding, as I started feeling abdominal pain last night. I will be going for a hospital examination the day after tomorrow to see the specific cause. In this condition, writing has been really challenging; today’s Chapter was agonizingly written all day in the library from 10 am to 5 pm, and I managed to write only this much, feeling it’s quite disorganized and lacking strength to revise. The updates might be very unstable in these few days. I’m very sorry!
