Chapter 1084: Chapter 1028: Divine Nectar

Xia Moyu said seriously, "The reproduction ability of the Insect Race is astonishing, even surpassing the Demon Clan in numbers. They are loyal to the core, brainwashed from birth, always ready to sacrifice themselves for the entire Insect Race. They fight fearlessly, treating the sacrifice of their lives as an honor. Even if they die, it doesn’t harm the Insect Race much because they collect the corpses of the dead insects to use as nourishment for the larvae, generating a new batch of insects. This method allows the Insect Race to proliferate endlessly. For the Insect Race, death is not something to fear at all. Hence, from ancient times to the present, the Insect Race has always been one of the most terrifying races in the universe."

Huang Yi touched his chin, pondered for a moment, and said, "What exactly is the purpose of the Insect Race coming to our Second World? Could it be to aid the Queen of Agony in invading the Second World?"

"It’s possible, but I think that’s future business. They likely have more important tasks at hand right now," Xia Moyu took a deep breath and made his conjecture, "I suspect these bee insects coming over is likely related to the Queen of Agony being injured. The Queen of Agony had a common avatar of hers killed by you before, and later, another more powerful avatar was severely injured in the river of time. She’s now greatly weakened and needs to replenish a large amount of Divine Power for recuperation. These bee insects coming from the Insect Race territory to our Second World may be to aid in healing the Queen of Agony! Bee insects can collect Divine Power and create a honey-like liquid known as ’Divine Nectar.’ This is the best healing Divine Object in the universe. Although a single bee insect’s collected Divine Nectar is limited, combined, the quantity from millions of bee insects is considerable. Once the Queen of Agony consumes this Divine Nectar, she can quickly recover from her injuries and rampage again."

Huang Yi felt a chill in his heart. If the purpose of these bee insects coming to the Second World is indeed to help the Queen of Agony heal, then the consequences of this matter would be much more severe.

They had just managed to repel the Seven Archdemons. If they recover quickly and return, the Second World wouldn’t have a moment to breathe and would once again face destruction.

Right now, what the Second World lacks the most is time. As long as there is enough time for players around the world to grow stronger, and even for a batch of demigod players to emerge, combating the Seven Archdemons won’t be so difficult!

"Anyway, we must quickly locate these bee insects and destroy them. We cannot let them aid the Queen of Agony in healing," Chalkris said, exerting his wings to their full span, gazing up at the azure sky, soaking in the warm morning sun, and closing his eyes in enjoyment, "I’ve just broken out of Heroes’ Prison, soaring across the sky and basking in the sunlight again. I don’t want the Seven Archdemons to return so soon and destroy this world."

"No! I actually think there’s no need to hastily destroy these bee insects! Let them live well and let them produce Divine Nectar!" Suddenly, Huang Yi’s eyes narrowed slightly, emitting a trace of mad gleam, faintly sinister.

"Oh? Why?" Xia Moyu and Chalkris both froze, looking at Huang Yi as if he were a madman.

Huang Yi chuckled, licking his dry lips, and said, "The Seven Archdemons have rampaged from the Eternal Ancient Era to now, and no one has been able to truly kill them, because every time they come out, they are just avatars, not their true bodies. Killing an avatar is merely an injury to them. Once they recover from their injuries, they can produce endless avatars again. And wanting to kill their true bodies is an impossible task. I’ve had the fortune to infiltrate the space where the Seven Archdemons reside. It’s boundless there, and it’s unknown where the true bodies of the Seven Archdemons are hiding. One cannot even find them, let alone kill them. This time, if these bee insects are indeed here to help the Queen of Agony heal, they must deliver the prepared Divine Nectar to the Queen of Agony’s true body. As long as we quietly track them, we can find the hiding place of the true body of the Queen of Agony and attempt to kill her true body, eliminating the Queen of Agony forever!"

"This..." Chalkris and Xia Moyu exchanged a look, both tempted by this crazy idea.

"But, this hope is too slim..." Chalkris adjusted his flight posture, gazing at the distant horizon, hesitantly saying, "The Second World is so huge, those secretly infiltrated bee insects must be well hidden. And we semigod guardians can only operate within the scope of the Hero’s Continent. Finding them is a very difficult task. And wanting to track them and find the true body of the Queen of Agony is even more difficult. There are so many powerful beings in the Demon Clan and Insect Race, wanting to track them unnoticeably, even the historical Ten Great Deity Sealers couldn’t manage it."

"Just because the Ten Great Deity Sealers couldn’t doesn’t mean I can’t!" Huang Yi said, spreading open his hand and touching the black mole on his palm.

That black mole, it was actually a drop of the Dark King’s blood!

Recently, he’d absorbed this drop of blood and had been refining it. Once he completely absorbs it, he will evolve into a being similar to the Dark King, appearing as nothing but a top-level Demon Clan!

By then, tracking those bee insects would be very easy for him, not afraid of being discovered. Those bee insects would simply assume Huang Yi is an ally of the Demon Clan.

Huang Yi, with a serious expression, declared firmly, "In any case, this plan at least holds a sliver of hope, and as long as there is a sliver of hope, we cannot give up! I will personally handle this matter."

After saying this, Huang Yi carefully put away the Tail Sting. Then, he flapped his Wings of the Sun Chaser, flying in the direction of City Hall in Dragon City.

While flying, he sent a message to Overlord, the Adventure Group Leader of the Hero Guild, asking him to meet at City Hall.

Overlord was an elder of the Hero Guild and one of the first inmates of Rose Prison to join the Hero Guild. His Rare Class had a very powerful tracking ability—able to find one part of a creature’s body based on another part of the body.

Years ago, it was Overlord who used this skill to help Huang Yi find Black Wolf, one of the three generals under the Sand Thief King, and kill him while he was gravely injured and recuperating.

Now, this Tail Sting of the Insect Race is an important clue; the corpse of that bee insect must have already been taken away by other bee insects to be used as nourishment for the larvae.

Overlord can entirely use the aura from this Tail Sting to trace the whereabouts of that bee insect’s body and thus find the hidden bee insects!

In the past couple of days, I have been thinking about the next plot and couldn’t update, but I’ve basically figured it out now. I’ll try to write an extra Chapter today as compensation; there should be another update in the evening.

Some friends might be confused about the cosmic storyline, so let me clarify: whether it’s the Nasash Clan or the Insect Race, they all serve the main storyline and won’t have subplots unrelated to the main line.

The main story remains the confrontation with the Seven Archdemons, just set on a broader stage. At the protagonist’s current level, the Second World is becoming a bit small, apart from those semigod guardians of the Hero Empire, there are merely three demigods, posing little change in the plot’s direction. Battling the Seven Archdemons within this small pond seems inappropriate.

However, battling the Seven Archdemons in a broader ocean is very normal. The bigger stage accommodates a higher tier of power, matching the level of bosses like the Seven Archdemons.

From the beginning, this book was set to have multiple worlds, and various details hinted at other worlds. If those other worlds and specific characters aren’t portrayed, remaining confined to the Second World, it would appear as if this worldview ended poorly.

This book won’t drag on interminably; quite the contrary, after such a long hiatus, even with updates resumed, there is little prospect, be it reader count or manuscript fees, far worse than before the hiatus. For the author, this kind of book isn’t worth stretching.

Furthermore, writing such a book which had long interruptions is exceedingly difficult for the author. The writing feel cannot persist seamlessly from before, so my writing is slow now. Many times, while writing, I have to look back at the previous content to recall the former ideas, to continue writing in ways consistent with previous settings and foreshadowing.

My approach is to showcase what it should have, mentioning other worlds before, I must therefore show these other worlds, giving this book a complete and sensible ending rather than ending abruptly and poorly.

Once this book is successfully concluded, I can approach creating my next book with a better mindset; otherwise, the unrest in mind makes it difficult to write new books well, a lesson I’ve learned before.
