Chapter 483: He Really Lost Like That

Pelion stared at the battlefield.

Darius was already down.

For a moment, he didn’t say anything.

He simply stood there, watching, trying to process what had just happened.

His brows slowly narrowed as he turned toward Garion. "...What the hell was that?"

There was a short pause. "You can do something like that?"

Garion smirked faintly, crossing his arms. "Of course she can."

He glanced at Pelion. "Who said she couldn’t use more potions?"

Pelion frowned, his gaze shifting between Dahlia and Darius. "...That’s not the point."

He exhaled slowly. "It still doesn’t make sense."

He looked back at Garion. "How can she drink that many potions and reach that level?"

His tone became more serious. "You need to understand something. The fourth realm isn’t easy to reach."

He clenched his fist. "That’s exactly why only Grand Factions have people at that level. And even then..."

He paused briefly. "...you can count them on one hand."

Pelion’s eyes sharpened. "But she..."

He gestured toward Dahlia. "...just used potions and pushed herself close to that level."

He shook his head slightly. "What the hell is going on?"

Garion let out a short laugh. "I already told you. We’ve got a crazy alchemist."

He tilted his head slightly, then pointed at Darius. "But more importantly... This was his mistake from the start."

Pelion narrowed his eyes.

Garion continued, his tone calm. "The moment he reached that level... He got overconfident. He chose to take Dahlia’s attack head-on."

He shrugged lightly. "The result speaks for itself."

Pelion clicked his tongue. "...Damn it."

He looked back at Darius. "Just how stupid do you have to be to lower your guard right after becoming a perfect chimera?"

There was a brief silence.

Then his gaze shifted back to Dahlia. "...Still."

His expression changed slightly. "Is she even okay?"

He frowned. "Drinking that many potions... The side effects should be serious."

He glanced at Garion. "...Was it even worth it?"

Garion laughed lightly. "Of course it was."

His tone remained steady. "And don’t underestimate her. Our strength comes from the body."

He looked toward Dahlia again. "And that elixir... It was made from her own body in the first place."

He shrugged slightly. "So the side effects are greatly reduced for her."

He paused for a moment. "She’ll be fine. Maybe just out of energy for a few days."

Pelion stayed silent for a second, then looked back at the battlefield again.

Then he glanced at Garion. "...Your faction..."

He shook his head slightly. "...is more troublesome than I thought."

Garion smirked. "You just realized that now?"

Pelion let out a quiet sigh. "...Yeah. I’m only realizing it now."

His gaze shifted back to Dahlia for a moment, then to the unconscious Darius lying in the distance.

Garion chuckled lightly. "Then our deal is done, right?"

He stepped forward slightly and gestured toward the battlefield. "Dahlia defeated Darius."

Pelion frowned briefly, as if thinking it over. "...That’s true."

He exhaled once. "Even if she used what I’d call a... questionable method."

Garion raised a brow. "Hey."

Pelion laughed softly, waving it off. "I’m not denying the result."

He looked back at Dahlia again. "It’s still her win."

He paused, then added, "And we will officially withdraw."

Garion nodded slightly, satisfied. "Good."

He crossed his arms again. "To think you’d actually follow through like this."

Pelion shrugged. "Of course."

His tone remained calm. "I’m not exactly a villain, you know."

Garion gave a small nod. "...Fair enough."

Then his expression shifted slightly. "But before you go, I want to ask you something."

Pelion looked at him. "Go on."

Garion didn’t hesitate. "What exactly is the fourth realm?"

Pelion paused for a moment, then nodded. "You won."

His voice turned more serious. "So I’ll explain it to you."

He adjusted his stance slightly. "...Think of it as a gift."

There was a brief silence before he continued. "The fourth realm... is what we call the Perfection Realm."

Garion raised an eyebrow. "...Perfection?"

Pelion nodded. "Yeah. It means you’ve reached a state where your existence is no longer limited the same way as before."

Garion blinked once. "...Not limited?"

Pelion continued, his tone steady. "At that point, the environment no longer restricts you. You’re no longer bound by the same conditions as lower realms."

He glanced slightly upward. "You could even survive in outer space."

Garion’s eyes widened slightly. "...Outer space?"

Pelion nodded again. "Yes. That’s the simplest way to describe it. Perfection means the world itself no longer limits you."

He paused briefly. "It’s like a transition. A step into a higher level of existence."

Garion went silent for a moment. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

His thoughts moved quickly. "...Wait."

He frowned slightly. "I remember something."

He looked at Pelion again. "This world’s limit... is the third realm, right?"

Pelion nodded. "Exactly."

Garion’s expression sharpened. "...So reaching the fourth realm... means going beyond that limit?"

Pelion gave a small smile. "That’s right. That’s why it’s called the Perfection Realm."

Garion stayed quiet for another moment. Then he nodded slowly. "...I see."

His gaze shifted slightly, more thoughtful now. "I understand."

Garion looked at Pelion again, thinking for a moment before speaking. "...By the way."

He paused briefly. "This perfect chimera..."

He gestured slightly toward Darius. "That’s basically your sect’s method of reaching the fourth realm, right?"

Pelion nodded once. "Yeah. More or less."

Garion continued. "Then what about the others?"

His tone stayed calm but curious. "I mean... the normal cultivation path."

Pelion thought about it for a moment before answering. "...Rare."

He kept his gaze forward as he spoke. "Very few people reach the fourth realm through the standard mana path."

He paused briefly, then added, "Because it’s not really worth it."

Garion raised an eyebrow slightly. "...Not worth it?"

Pelion nodded. "From what I remember..."

He adjusted his stance a little. "Those who reach the fourth realm through the normal path end up with extremely high mana reserves."

He shrugged. "They can cast a large number of spells without much limitation."

Garion listened quietly.

Pelion continued, "But their bodies..."

He shook his head slightly. "...don’t develop at the same level. They’re still weaker compared to others in that realm."

He paused again. "You could say... They’re glass cannons."

Garion narrowed his eyes slightly. "...So they’re unbalanced."

Pelion nodded. "Exactly. They are still fourth realm cultivators. But among that level... They’re considered the weakest."

He let out a small breath. "At the same time... They can also be extremely dangerous."

Garion glanced at him. "...Because of their spells."

Pelion nodded. "Right. They have overwhelming output. But poor durability."

He shrugged lightly. "That kind of build isn’t popular."

Garion nodded slowly. "...Makes sense."

He looked back at the battlefield for a moment. "A fragile body at that level..."

He exhaled once. "That’s basically a death sentence."
