Her Food Livestream Broke the Galaxy-Chapter 63: An Unimaginable Car Crash Scene
Today had been a strange day. Jiang Qiuqiu had resisted the urge to look at the ’creations’ everyone was sharing in the community post.
She decided to look at them tonight during her stream, so her reactions and emotions would be more genuine.
She spent her extra time at home watching movies from the interstellar era.
She had to admit, with the pressure of survival off her shoulders, Jiang Qiuqiu’s life had become much more relaxed.
And besides, the movies here were amazing!
They were holographic movies. All you had to do was put on a special helmet, and you could enter the movie’s world from a third-person perspective. It was called watching a movie, but it really felt like embarking on a fantastical adventure.
Lost in the fantastical and bizarre movies, the day passed quickly.
Jiang Qiuqiu started her stream right on time. Today was a day she didn’t need to be in the kitchen. She leaned back on the small sofa in her living room, feeling more relaxed than she ever had during a stream.
#She’s live, she’s live! Teacher Jiu Jiu’s roast session, starting right at eight, can begin! I lurked in the post for a bit beforehand. You guys are wild.#
#There are so many reasons for these disasters, hahaha, I give up. Cooking is seriously not easy.#
#My cooking Genes must have been swallowed by a Black Hole during evolution. It’s so disgusting, just looking at it feels like it could kill you.#
"It can’t be that bad." The review hadn’t even started, and already a whole crowd of them were being pessimistic.
#Looks like our dear Juju hasn’t graced the post with her presence yet.#
"Now you’re all making me curious."
#Everyone’s talking about cooking, but am I the only one who noticed our dear Juju is wearing a little yellow dress with a doll collar today! Wow, just the outfit alone is so cute! (*╹▽╹*)#
#! I see it now! She’s so adorable!#
#So she’s dressed so nicely because she doesn’t have to cook today! Sigh, when you think about it, she’s really worked hard!#
As a stream of "You’ve worked hard!" comments scrolled past, Jiang Qiuqiu waved her small, fair hand in front of the camera. "No, I’m wearing a dress because it’s all I have left. But let’s not get sidetracked. Time to get down to business!"
She sat up straight, moved to the center of the camera’s view, and announced, "Jiang Qiuqiu’s first-ever cooking tutorial review session starts now! Let’s see how people all across the Federation cook!"
She opened her Star Network dashboard, skillfully navigated to the post, and then opened a small window to share her screen with everyone.
"Alright, let’s take a look together."
First up was the top-voted comment: the story of poor Master Chen’s day.
Jiang Qiuqiu watched the video on 5x speed. Her reaction: ???
"This... well, the initial steps were actually pretty good. But why did they open the lid so many times halfway through? Also, the heat was a bit too high. Next time, you can turn the heat down a little. And finally, once it’s almost cooked, don’t add more water, or else—"
’—you’ll end up with a pot of mush. The video showed blackened, burnt rice mixed with yellowish grains, boiled until half-dry. A true train wreck.’
Jiang Qiuqiu thought this was an isolated case. But then she discovered, no, no, no, this entire post was filled with "isolated cases."
The second top-voted comment was titled, "I Just Wanted to Eat More Rice."
The poster was apparently one of the interstellar people with a strong ancient Beast Gene expression. He wanted to eat a lot of rice in one go, so he decided to steam just a *tiny* bit extra.
Then Jiang Qiuqiu saw a pot that was half as tall as a person. And that was the end of the story. The heat was too high, it didn’t cook evenly, and the whole attempt was dead on arrival.
"This... next time, you need to control the quantity. And if you’re going to cook that much, it’s best not to use a pot like that. It’ll burn easily."
And there were more. People who added too little water, or too much. One person thought plain boiled Rice was too boring and decided to add fruit juice, only for the fruit to turn into a hot mush—another one bites the dust.
