Help! Five Beast Alphas Want To Breed Me!!(BL)-Chapter 257: Mana Flow
Elián;
I keep replaying their expressions, their stiff shoulders, the hesitation in their voices... and every replay feels like another needle in my chest.
They know.
They now know I’m a Primordial.
And it wasn’t like, I confessed it to them, I blurted it in my sleep, and only had to speak up because they pressed me.
I press a shaky hand to my stomach and take a deep breath. I don’t know if it’s the pregnancy or the guilt, but my heart feels too heavy for my body.
I need air.
I get out of bed and slip out of the room quietly while hoping none of the guards stationed at some of the corridors tries to follow me.
I’m not going far. I’m just going...out. Just away from the thick silence that’s choking me.
Nagari is warm as always... infuriatingly warm... but unlike this morning, I don’t care much about the heat now. My mind is too busy collapsing to notice.
I don’t know how long I walked... or how many bends I took... Or how many questions I asked Elien, which he ignored... But eventually, I get to a garden.
The beautiful palace garden stretches out ahead of me in its glory of glowing stones, flowing rivers, and serpents sunning themselves on the vibrant green grass.
The air smells clean, calm, and soothing.
My worry steps aside for a bit, but I can still hear its whispers in my mind.
What if they see me differently now?
What if they’re scared of me?
What if the bond we were building is already broken?
I rub my arms, trying to shake the thought free, but the fear clings to me like a second skin.
I’m so lost in my head that I don’t even notice her at first.
But when I do, I pause.
Aunt Selthía.
Queen of Nagari.
She’s in the middle of the open garden, draped in a dual colored dress. The main colour of the dress is royal blue, but the hem of it is light blue. Like light blue smoke dispersing into deep blue skies.
The dress has strips for hands, and her hair is flowing down her shoulders like an unapologetic waterfall.
I hold my breath as I watch her, and my thoughts go completely mute. She moves with the fluidity of water and the precision of a narrow blade that knows exactly where to strike.
Her arms travel slowly... gently... like an orbit around her body.
Her head rolls back as she lifts one leg and stretches it out.
Her movements are gentle. Calculated. Intentional... like she can feel every stretch from the tip of her fingers to the roots of her hair.
The only sound is the tweeting of the birds, the gentle hissing of the snakes around, and the rivers around gently trickling.
I watch her bare feet twirl against the vibrant grass, and my lips part in awe.
Her eyes are shut, and I can tell she’s fully immersed in...
What is this? It looks so... serene. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Her body bends, stretches, and twists into yoga like poses I’ve never seen before.
Slow. Controlled. Serpentine... Like she fully owns and controls every muscle, every nerve in her system.
Nothing is a mistake. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is... impulsive.
All her movements just... flow.
Gentle blue, green, black and gold threads of light shimmer and swirl softly around her like thin ribbons... Drifting from her fingertips and around every curve.
Two serpents slither around her... one white, and the other gold... both curling and uncurling around her in lazy spirals that mimic her movement.
She looks otherworldly.
Like a goddess conceiving universes...
My breath hitches, and before I realise it, I’m completely absorbed.
I probably shouldn’t be staring. This is probably private. I mean, there’s no one around, so she mostl likely wanted to be alone, but but I can’t help but watch.
Something about her movements... about the calm they radiate... tugs at the panic squeezing my heart. As if begging me to let go and embrace peace.
Queen Selthia shifts into another pose... one leg extended behind her, arms and face lifted to the sun... and the light ribbons around her flare softly, pulsing in time with her breathing.
She looks glorious.... Commanding... And at peace.
I ache for peace.
I’m about to step away before she notices me when her head turns, and just then, her golden eyes lock directly onto me.
I freeze.
She catches me watching her, and embarrassment swallows me.
I immediately spin around to escape, but she calls out to me.
"Elián."
Her voice stops me mid-step.
Gentle and impossible to ignore.
"Come here, sweetheart." She adds, and heat floods my cheeks.
I hesitantly turn back and walk toward her, and she stands straight and smiles at me.
She waits until I’m close enough, then reaches out and brushes a strand of hair away from my eyes.
Her fingers are a bit cold, but her touch is gentle.
"You look troubled," she says as she studies my face, and I swallow.
Of course, she’d see right through me. She seems like the kind of woman who misses nothing.
"I... just needed some fresh air," I reply, and she raises a brow.
"Fresh air doesn’t make your eyes look like you’re about to cry." She answers, and I look away... At a little white snake that slithers past us.
She gently holds my chin and brings my gaze back to hers.
"What’s wrong, dear?" she asks, and there’s so much warmth in her voice, it pierces through the wall I built.
It’s the same feeling when you’ve been holding back tears, and someone tells you sorry.
I can’t help it. At the first sign of warmth, I break.
"I... I didn’t tell them," I whisper as I feel tears stab the back of my mind, and she tilts her head softly.
"Tell who what?" she asks, and I draw a deep breath.
"Zephan. And Zethar." I reply, and my voice wavers.
"I didn’t tell them... About me.... About me being a Primordial..." I confess, and she pauses.
