Help! Five Beast Alphas Want To Breed Me!!(BL)-Chapter 176: Ashfang Brothers
Zephan;
It’s a beautiful night. The moon is almost full, the air is light and fresh, and the stars are proudly twinkling.
However, the beauty of the night doesn’t give me the peace it usually brings me.
I’m restless. Unsettled. And I don’t know why.
I hate it when I feel like this because it means trouble. Trouble that always affects me.
Now, the feeling is here again. Heavy in my chest and right under my skin. Like goosebumps refusing to go away.
I hate it.
That boy. His green eyes, horrid scent... and that desperate act to appear... vulnerable... smaller than he actually is.
The... falsehood of everything I saw about him resurfaces in my mind, and I sigh.
What the hell did Rhyian mean when he said the boy is his Omega?
How did Elián react to Rhydian taking another Omega?
Both of them don’t gets along, so maybe Elián didn’t care?
I know these things are an issue, and still, somehow, this uneasiness inside me feels like it’s due to a problem much bigger than the Bram boy or whatever silly mistake Rhydian might have made.
I suddenly stop pacing when I sense Rhydian outside the door.
I stare into the room, at the door on the other side of it, and just as he knocks, I speak.
"Come in."
The door pushes open, and he walks in with two cups and a bottle in his hand.
He shuts the door and stares at me on the balcony. He smiles and walks over to me.
"Did I interrupt something?" He questions as he sets the goblets on the balcony’s railings, and I smile as I stare at him under the moonlight.
"Only my thoughts," I reply, and he scoffs as he pours wine into the cups.
"Silvery for your thoughts?" He questions as he closes the bottle, and I pick one of the goblets up and take a sip of the delectable wine.
"It’ll cost you more than that to get into my mind," I reply, and he chuckles as he picks up the other goblet and takes a huge swig from it.
He leans over the railings and stares up at the sky.
The moonlight makes his hair and eyes look almost ghostly. Like the moon rays are claiming what they feel belongs to them.
He lets out a sigh, and the worry in his heart is betrayed of its hiding.
I let out a short exhale before leaning against the railing beside him and staring at him.
"What foolish thing have you done this time?" I question, and he stares at me in silence.
The fact that he doesn’t fight, object or look visibly pissed tells me that I’m right. He has indeed done something stupid.
"I gave out my trust like a pot of clay." He replies before taking another swig from his goblet, and I blink in silence.
"Elián warned me about him, Igma warned me... the people I should have trusted warned me... but I chose to believe my arrogance instead." He adds, and I scoff.
"That’s nothing new." I tease, and he simply scowls at me while I smirk back.
He looks away again, and I look away from him.
I raise my face to the sky and let the night’s cool breeze embrace my face and travel through my hair.
"It’s the Bram boy, isn’t it?" I question, and although I’m not looking at Rhydian, I can tell his gawking at me in shock.
"How do you know that?" He questions, and I smile.
"Snakes are seen as deceitful and cunning. That may be true... but we’ve only been able to uphold that reputation for so long because you lot are blind." I speak as I take a swig from my goblet, and I do not bother to look at Rhydian.
I need him to hear what I’m about to say, and I don’t care how it affects him.
"Every being had been embedded with something from the very moment of birth. Like an antenna... before your mind processes danger, that antenna already senses it." I begin.
"That subtle knot in your chest. The almost silent quickening of your heart. The doubt... They are telltale signs that something is wrong. But arrogant minds like you have learned to block that part of your mind out." I add, and this time, I look at him.
"You have tagged caution as fear, and to move without caution is to move without precision. An uncoordinated mess that no king should be." I conclude, and his grey eyes blink in silence.
I gulp down what’s left of the wine and set my goblet on the railing before him.
"Another cup, please," I reply, and the ghost of a smile splits his lips.
He grabs the bottle, pours me another cup, and this time we both take sips from our cups.
We stand in silence for a few seconds, and he speaks.
"I need evidence of what he truly is, so I can punish him accordingly. Why is he after me? What he wants... I want to punish him for causing a rift between Elián and me." He speaks, and I stare at him in silence.
So many thoughts rush to my mind, but I remain silent.
"You want me to help you," I state the obvious, and he stares up at me in silence.
"You know the boy fancies you. He looked like he was about to go into heat merely by being in your presence. Help me trap him." He replies, and I smirk.
"We’ve never really worked together since we were kids. Do you think we can pull this off?" I question flatly, and he smirks.
"True diplomats know how to put their differences aside for the greater good." He replies, and I grin at him.
"Do we have a deal?" He questions as he holds out his cup to me, and I eye my older brother before running my tongue over my teeth.
I gently tap my cup against his as I stand to face him properly, and he smirks.
"Deal," I speak, and his smirk grows into a grin. "Let’s show that rodent why it’s foolish to try messing with an Ashfang," I add, and Rhydian nods proudly as he gulps down all that’s in his cup, and a fresh fire burns inside me.
My fingers curl around my goblet as my mind wanders.
I haven’t had fun in a long time. Picking this little shit apart should be fun.
The hourglass has been flipped, Bram. With me in the picture now... how long till the sand drowns you out.
