Hello, Ex! I Finally Found My Worth!-Chapter 166: It’s Finally Over
Chapter 166 - It’s Finally Over
Mathew's face was a mask of fury as he looked down at Claire. The toilet sink had crashed to the floor when he dragged her down, shards of porcelain scattered across the small bathroom.
Claire's entire body shook with fear and exhaustion, but Mathew's anger only seemed to intensify.
"Im sorry I didn't mean to leave——"
"I gave you a chance," he growled. His breath was hot and heavy against her skin making Claire shudder.
"I wanted you to give it to me willingly, but you wouldn't. Now, you leave me no choice," he said making Claire's heart skip a beat.
What did he mean by that? What was he going to do?
Claire's eyes widened in horror as she watched him trying to lower himself to her.
Her mind was a chaotic mix of terror and despair. She tried to twist her body away, but her hands were still bound. She could feel his weight pressing down on her, making it nearly impossible to breathe but all she could think of was a way to make him.
"No... please, Mathew. Don't," she pleaded, her desperation clearly evident in her eyes. Her voice cracked as she struggled beneath him.
Every ounce of strength she had left went into resisting, but her body was too weak from days without food or rest.
Mathew leaned closer, his eyes wild and filled with a dark obsession. "This is what love is, Claire. This is how we'll be together," he said with a smirk.
Claire shook her head as she watched him lean closer to her. This was too much. She couldn't let him do this to her. She couldn't let him touch her this way.
"Don't do this," she screamed when she he knelt down and positioned himself in between her legs and started sliding his hand up and down his cock to get himself hard.
"I knew it! I knew it was you!" he said and Claire frowned despite her desperation to free herself from his hold. "All this while, I've never been able to get an erection but look! I have it and it's because I'm connected to you! You'll be mine forever," Mathew said as he started trying to forcefully penetrate her.
Claire shook her head as hot tears streamed down her eyes while she thrashed around.
She would rather she died than live with the torture of this nightmare forever. She had to stop him, any way she could. There was no way she was going to let him do this to her in a toilet of an abandoned house.
Despite being bound, Claire tried to fight him off her when she felt his dick hot against her clit. If she doesn't do something now, she was going to lose her virginity to this insane pervert.
She needed to do something, Claire thought as her gaze darted frantically across the floor, looking for anything that she could use to stop him.
That was when she saw it—a jagged piece of broken porcelain from the sink. Her heart thumped in desperation. It was her only chance.
This is it, Claire. Now or never. She told herself.
With every bit of energy she could summon, Claire's hand closed around the shard. The sharp edges bit into her skin, but she didn't let go.
As Mathew tried penetrating her with full force, she swung her arm with all her strength and struck him across the side of his head.
Mathew's eyes widened in shock. He froze for a moment, then slumped forward onto her. Claire felt his full weight collapse on top of her, suffocating and heavy, making her gasp in pain.
With a strangled cry, she pushed against his limp body. It took all her strength to roll him off, and when she finally managed to free herself, she gasped for air. Her chest heaved as she sat up, trembling and dizzy.
Her eyes fell on Mathew. He lay motionless on the floor, blood trickling from the side of his head where he had been hit. His eyes were open but unseeing.
Claire stared at his lifeless body, her mind numb with shock as she realized he was dead.
Though he was dead, which meant she had killed someone, the only thing she could think of was the fact that she was finally free from the nightmare. The nightmare that had been tormenting her for three days.
She looked down at Mathew's body, though lifeless but she still couldn't believe it was over. She couldn't believe she had survived. She pushed him, for rear that it wasn't real and that he was pretending.
A sob escaped her lips when she finally realized it wasn't pretence. That Mathew was indeed dead.
Tears streamed down her face as the weight of everything crashed down on her. She thought of her father—how he must be searching for her, how desperate he must be to find her and she cried even more.
Why hasn't he found me yet? Where was this place that no one could hear them for over three days?
But despite the questions and the fear still lingering in her heart, one thought rose above everything else.
It's over. Finally, it's over. Despite having to wait till they found her, she wouldn't go through the nightmare again.
Weak and broken, Claire leaned her head back against the bathroom wall, her tears mixing with the blood on her hands.
She stood up to go get her dress so she could dress up and leave there even if it meant roaming on the streets but as she got up, she felt the ground sway beneath her legs.

Before she knew it, she was falling to the ground but she couldn't stop herself because she was too weak.
Back To The Present.
Claire leaned back on the couch, taking a deep breath to calm the storm inside her.
Everyone in the room—Chris, Alex, Margaret, Ivy, and Emma—watched her with wide, concerned eyes. Her heart pounded in her chest as she relived every moment, the past so vivid it felt as if she had just escaped the ordeal all over again.
"And after that..." Claire swallowed hard, her voice trembling. "I passed out."
The weight of her words seemed to hang heavy in the room. Silence enveloped them all.
"When I woke up," Claire continued, "I was already home."
Chris's fists clenched at his sides, his face etched with both guilt and anger. "Why didn't you tell me? Why have you been keeping something like this to yourself? This is too much pain to hide."
Claire met his gaze, eyes filled with unshed tears. "Because I didn't want to relive it. I thought... if I buried it deep enough, I could move on. But it's not that simple."
Alex ran a hand through his hair, visibly shaken. "We had no idea, Claire. We didn't know what you went through with him. We only know you were kidnapped."
Margaret stepped forward, her hands trembling as she reached for Claire. "We tried looking for you. You disappeared, and Dad wasn't around. We didn't know how to get the help we needed. That's why it took three days to find you."
Claire's throat tightened at the memory of those lost, terrifying days. Margaret took a shaky breath.
"I overheard Dad on the phone with someone after we found you. He said that if the issue didn't die down quietly, he'd make sure the whole world knew what a psychopath and pervert their son was. I didn't think it was connected to you at the time. But now..." Margaret's voice broke, tears falling freely.
"I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you," Alex whispered.
"I'm just glad you found me," Claire said softly.
Ivy stepped forward, her usual bright smile dimmed by sadness. "Claire, you didn't deserve any of that. You're the strongest person I know."
Emma, who had been sitting quietly, finally spoke. "Claire, I need to show you something."
Everyone turned to Emma as she held up her phone. "I recorded what you just said."
Shock rippled through the room. Claire's eyes widened. "You what?"
"I recorded the whole thing while you were talking," Emma admitted.
"Why would you do that?" Chris demanded and then narrowed his eyes when he realized why she had done that.
Claire blinked, trying to process. "Emma... what if I had been guilty?"
Emma shook her head firmly. "I knew you weren't. I knew you didn't kill Mathew or whoever he was for any reason other than self-defence. And now the truth is out."
"What are you planning to do with it?" Margaret asked.
"I'm going to post it," Emma said confidently.
A chorus of gasps followed.
"Emma—" Alex began, but Emma raised her hand.
"I support her," Chris said before Emma could say anything. "Claire's been carrying this all alone. Everyone who doubted her deserves to know the truth. This isn't just about justice. It's about Claire taking her life back."
Claire felt something shift inside her. For years, she had been suffocated by guilt, shame, and fear. But now, surrounded by people who believed in her, a spark of hope lit in her heart.
"Do it," Claire finally said. Her voice was steady now, resolute. "Post it."
Emma gave her a determined nod.
Chris, standing behind Claire, placed a protective hand on her shoulder. "You're free now, Claire. It's over."
And for the first time in years, Claire believed it might be true.
