Hellmode ~A Hardcore Gamer Becomes Peerless in Another World with Retro Game Settings~-Chapter 705: Brilliance of Luck 999,999! (1)
Daruma Prayer---Peromas's skill summons a Daruma with white eyes. An attack on the enemy with a gold coin would restore one of its eyes if the attack hit, and depending on the number of black eyes, he would be blessed with a probability up effect once.
«What's happening...»
The two coins shot through the air with such intensity they ionized the air, and collided against Nestirad. It was like they'd been shot from a railgun.
(Sure enough, it's learning our style huh. Still, the gold coin managed to tumble it away on its step, but they barely did any damage. It appears 100 combo bursts is our only option. Then, Keel is the first linkage.)
«Keel, we're going to keep this a short battle. You can begin with your divine technique now.»
Now that Peromas had given them enough time to re-arrange the formation, Allen signaled Keel to begin with the biggest move yet.
"Alright, I got it. Divine Technique—Ultimate Healer!! Elixir Garden!!"
Flowers in their full bloom soon spread around in the ground.
«Great, and Peromas, keep shooting the gold coins! Our plan hinges on your attack!!»
As it appeared, Peromas' attack could only keep Nestirad at bay. Perhaps his resistance and endurance perimeters were just that crazy, the attacks weren't enough to shave off its endurance or damage its body.
Allen presumed Nestirad must have some sort of physical attack invalidation or physical resistance, which further boosted its status.
"Oryaaaa! True Coin Pitcher!!"
«You're an idiot!!»
Peromas had made his third shot when matching the timing with the coin shot, Nestirad released the energy he was storing in his leg.
Nestirad dodged the attack, and the shining gold coin cut through the empty air Nestirad was a moment ago. The gold coin snapped many trees deep in the forest as it met in its way, pulverized them, and just like that vanished from everyone’s sight where they could no longer see it.
«Hmm, thus he escaped. Thy wishes are fleeting if the shot hits not its mark.»
Daruma whispered with a sigh from above Peromas's head.
«Peromas. Nestirad is bound to notice you if your attack pattern is so simple. Step forward, and do it discreetly. Everyone, follow Permas's throw timing.»
"W-what?! How do you expect me to act? Have you seen that guy's eyes? Those scary eyes are definitely locked onto me!!"
«I will listen to any of your complaints later, just focus on the task right now.»
Peromas's mind was unable to catch up with the movement of Nestirad, or the battle carried out by the rest of the members while having their status being drastically increased. Every scene was a spectacle that dazzled his vision; like how Nestirad would wield its right hand and left hand and swoop at vanguard. However Vanguard would evade the attack at point-black range and then launch their attack from his blind spot.
It was like a scene played out in a theatre; the four members synced with each other moment and launched their barrage of attack, making sure Nestirad's hand never reached Shea or Luck. They're assisted by summoned beasts at the rearguard, Haku and Meruru.
And turning his status into luck, Peromas was unable to catch up with the movement of Nestirad, and as well the movement of vanguards, which made it impossible for him to accurately shoot the gold coin. And if that wasn't enough, Nestirad's body, burning in flame from the breath attack of Haku and Megla, was also made harder to confirm.
How could it have been easy for someone like him to accurately target from distance while the opponent was like a disaster let loose? Peromas was baffled Allen even expected that much from him.
However soon, the mid-guard Formar raised his voice at him.
"Wait, I will help you out, Peromas."
«Hmm? Now that Sophie is in a safe spot, you're going to give him pointer, Formar? Go-go, Formar-sensei!»
Allen cheered for them via the transmission from Bird F.
"Yes, please, Sensei!"
"Right after you, Formar-sensei."
Kurena and Sophie also chimed in gleefully, as the ever-so-listener of Allen's plan they're.
"Well, how about you stand up first, Peromas?"
"Thanks, Formar…”
At last, Peromas was back to his feet after his earlier kneeling position.
Blessed with multiple buffs and by literal luck, Peromas had to make sure his gold coin just hit the target. However, with his vast experience in combat compared to Nestirad, Nestirad made sure he didn't become a sitting target.
Seeing the situation, Formar—a fellow long-range physical attacker, archer in his case, who had taught him in the past 1 month---stepped forward to help him out.
"First, predict where the opponent might make its next move, and when you're sure, just take your shot."
It was mid-guard, or long-range attackers' ration dete’re to infer the situation among the crowded vanguard and made sure they had their enemy in target.
It might not be much, but Peromas had actually learned quite a bit in the last month to be fit for his role in this fight.
"It's impossible for me. I can't even get a hold of him sometimes."
However the difference of status was obvious, making it impossible for Peromas to pin down the movement of Nestirad.
«Alright, the loan retriever's effect has been applied! Let's shave off the luck of Nestirad!!»
Allen momentary informed the party members of the success of their strategy.
«Huh? What is all this?»
"You have take *so many* of our gold coin, we're just having you pay with 'luck,' that's all."
Like a shower, gold coins began to stream out of Nestirad's face---though he wasn't in any sort of physical discomfort---with a clicking sound. Nestirad dropped back to the ground, while the overflowing gold coins rolled to accumulate beside Peromas's feet.
Loan Retriever: The skill would cause the target to pay back in luck—which would be converted to gold coins---for the gold coins thrown on them. The success rate is dependent on the target's luck, and the resistance. However this probability can be raised by skills like «Daruma Prayer.»
«Now to whom should the luck be transferred, Luck or Shea? Hmm---woahh!!!»
A new change took place in the battlefield just as Allen was contemplating on the usage of stolen luck.
«Gaaaahh!»
"Hurray!! Cursed Strike worked!!"
«Rgh, again with these tricks. Get away!!»
Once again, a translucent giant skeleton appeared and clinged on Nestirad.

(Nice, that's it. Now that his luck has been dropping, it should become even more easier to proc Cursed Strike. No wait, or maybe it would be too early to say that? There's not enough information that says luck makes it easier to inflict debuff, when it's mostly affected by intelligence and resistance. I guess, we just happened to be lucky?)
As far it had been known, debuffs had been mostly affected by status or resistance. But maybe it was the blessing of 300,000—oh wait, it should be 400,000 including the other buffs from Spirit God blessing casted by Sophie---status in luck from Peromas that allowed it. Or so, Allen interpreted.
«Again with these bugs?!»
"Oryaaaa!! True Coin Pitcher!"
«Gaaahh!»
Nestirad let out an annoyed grunt and had just turned to the clinging skeletons when Permoas followed with his attack. Above his attack, the Daruma could be seen again, albeit with both eyes white again. The attack just now changed one of them to black.
«Another wish already, eh? If thou wish something strongly, then toss another gold coin.»
Under the assistance of Formar, Peromas made yet another successful shot at Nestirad.
T/N - This is three chapters update, just in case if anyone miss out. Also, if you're in discord server, you may see more than a few notifications, and that're due to updating the previous chapters (any changes are pinged apparently for now, and there's no way to turn it off.) For now, I have only updated ch 692 - 695. I will keep updating about previous chapters.
