Chapter 593: Searching for shards of the sun and moon
Allen turned to look at Albahar.
'So what are you doing now?'
"As I mentioned, Shea has to become more powerful, so we'll get her a Divine Technique, Divine Artifact, and Blessing from the Beast God."
"Hmmmm, I see. So we're finally going to meet the Beast God."
"Hm? What's wrong, General Hobah?"
"Oh, it's nothing. Sorry for interrupting. Please go on."
Hobah, one of the Ten Heroic Beasts and one of the king's royal guards, seemed to have something in his mind, but he apologized for interrupting.
(Hm? Oh right, I think he resigned from being the royal guard's commander? How long ago was that?)
Allen tried to recall more about Hobah, but he soon focused on Albahar again.
'If you want to meet the Beast God, you should meet the Beast God Giran first, right?'
Albahar asked to make sure. Allen had the Divine Compasses of both Giran and Garm.
Even if he had both, he could not simply skip to the one with a highest position.
"If that's how things are done here, we won't have any option."
'I understand you value your time, but you should visit Giran first. You might even get a trial there.'
(Hmm, trials to obtain a Divine Technique, Divine Artifact, and Blessing from a Higher God might be too hard, so I guess I can go to Giran first.)
Allen was starting to understand the hierarchy of power of the Paradise of Primordial Beasts.
[Hierarchy of power of the Paradise of Primordial Beasts]
-Higher God: Garm
-God: Giran
-Mythical Beast: Albahar
-Sacred Beast: Luvanka
Garm oversaw everything there, while the others had increasingly less power.
Albahar advised them to visit Giran first.
"Thank you for everything again. But there's something we have to talk through."
(I'll ask about Giran's location later, I have to discuss something else here.)
There was something Allen had been thinking about since before getting there.
'Hm?'
"I really appreciate that you gave us a seat at your table, but we'd like to discuss something."
Allen wanted to discuss something with his group.
'Do as you wish.'
"By the way, I asked earlier, but you really don't have any idea where I could find shards of the sun and moon?"
'No.'
"And you Luvanka?"
'No.'
Allen spoke more casually to Luvanka, as he was a summon now.
(Well, I guess they really don't know then. Or maybe they know it by a different name, but I don't have the time to verify that. I doubt that's the case though.)
"Allen, why here though..? Ah! You want her to forecast the location?"
"Hm? Me?"
Cecile realized what Allen wanted to do, and looked at the Astrologer Temi.
Temi looked like a squirrel girl, and she trotted over to them, holding a piece of bread.
She looked really young, but was actually more than 50 years old.
Temi had a high position in Albahar, being the Beast King's adviser.
There was a prime minister in Albahar too, but things like who would inherit the throne were arranged through astrology.
Because of that she was also with the Ten Heroic Beasts, being their manager.
"Yes, the God of Magic Isiris said it was here, so maybe you can figure out where to look?"
"So you're searching for something? I'll look into it."
Temi took out what looked like round pebbles of many colors from a pouch and scattered them on the floor. Then she began flipping them around while mumbling something.
Then there was a burst of Mana as she activated her Skills.
"Did you find anything?"
"Hmmm? I don't know where they are."
"I see…"
Cecile was dumbfounded, no one seemed to know the location of those items.
"But wait, that doesn't mean they aren't here. Let me search more. Star Destiny."
(So first she checked if they exist or not, and now she's looking where. I can tell she knows how her Skills work really well, Also, this is the first time I see her Extra Skill.)
[Star Destiny] was Temi's Extra Skill.
"Th-there it is…they're hidden, the s-sun is…is…is…is…"
Temi began to tremble, but she did her best to get the words out, but as she forced herself further, blood began to drip from her nose. But she grit her teeth and tried to keep going, eventually starting to bleed from her eyes and ears, and then vomited blood and collapsed.
"Are you okay?!"
Allen ran up to her to catch her body before her head struck the floor, then used a Heaven's Blessing to heal her body.
"Haahh…hahh… I'm sorry, I can't help you more. I was able…to discover something though…the sun and moon are separate things, hidden in different locations…"
Temi told them what she had learned with her Extra Skill.
The shards of the sun and moon had been hidden, and she did not know their location.
But they were certainly in the Paradise of primordial Beasts.
"Alright, so we just have to search for them later. But hmm…we also have to meet the Beast God Giran…"
Cecile wanted to search right away, but she remembered that they still needed to see Giran to make Shea stronger, maybe it was better to search after that.
"About that, I'm thinking of sending the Ten Heroic Beasts to conduct the search."
"Oh?"
It was a bit sudden, but the Ten Heroic Beasts quickly caught up on what Allen wanted.
"I see, you're as smart as always, Allen."
"It feels nice to be praised once in a while."
*Snap*
"But we're always praising you!"
"Wait, Cecile, I didn't mean-"
"Okay okay, I'll do it later, Sophie. Don't think I'll forget though, Allen."
(So she's going to hit me later? What a terrible fate.)
Sophie had just barely managed to stop Cecile from hitting Allen.
"That's a good plan. My astrology might provide better results if we get closer too."
Temi also thought that was a good idea.
"Actually no, I'd like you to go train with the God of Divination Tarrot, Temi."
"Hm? What do you mean?"
"I need your help with more things, honing your skills will help us greatly with the Earth Labyrinth too."
"Ohh! I see, you really know what you're doing, Master Allen!! Maybe we needed Temi's help to get further than the 50th floor all along!"
Sophie sounded impressed. Cecile also nodded, but Shea and the Ten Heroic Beasts did not understand what was happening.
"What is it now? Explain it so I can understand as well."
"Well, to put it simply, we've also been struggling with the Earth God Gaia's trial…"
Cecile had Isiris' fetch quest, Shea was training to become stronger, but there was one more matter Allen was working on. Reaching the 99th floor of the Earth Labyrinth.
Merle was there with a large portion of their forces, including Merus, Kuwatoro, Makris, and even Gatoruga and Matildora went to help.
But the 24 hour time limit made it difficult, especially on the 50th floor where not even shovels worked. That made going through it much slower.
On top of that they had to find the Dragon God Magra who was somewhere in the dungeon.
Allen wanted Magra to become his Dragon S summon, and Isiris wanted his horn.
"I see, so you've brought more powerful people from below."
"Huh? Ah, yes, General Hobah."
Allen felt like Hobah was being more talkative than usual, but then looked at Temi again.
"Anyway, I hope you can gain power from the God of Divination and help with the dungeon."
"Yes, we need to get through it no matter what."
Temi's power would be useful to find the shards and go through the Earth Labyrinth.
So the faster Temi got to Extra Mode, the faster they could go through everything.
"I see, I'll undergo that training then, as that's why we came to the divine realm. It's just a shame I won't be able to meet the Beast God Garm."
Temi had arrived there before they could meet the God of Divination, so she had gone to the Paradise of Primordial Beasts first, hoping to meet the Beast God Garm.
That would no longer be possible, but Temi understood there were more urgent matters.
"Also, the shards might be in the direction Temi pointed earlier, so I'd appreciate it if the Ten Heroic Beasts could search there."
The Paradise of Primordial Beasts was 10 times bigger than the Central Continent.
It was an area bigger than earth's surface, so searching for a shard in there sounded impossible. But Allen would take any chance if it made things faster.
"I see, so we'll be splitting off from Lady Shea."
(I doubt having them in the Earth Labyrinth right now would do much after all.)
Most of the Ten Heroic Beasts were frontliners, so they would be even less useful than Dogora in the Earth Labyrinth. So instead they could help with Cecile and Shea's trials.
"That's correct, General Hobah. I'm glad you're catching up so quickly. So, General Hobah will take Temi's spot as leader, and search for the shards…"
"I can't do that!"
Allen tried to tell Hobah what to do next, but he interrupted him.
Hobah seemed to have a serious reason to refuse, though no one else had foreseen him doing that.
