Chapter 46: Chapter 47: The Cunning Wang Ming

"So this has nothing to do with Wang Ming. You must have been deceived by Chuchu and Yuxiang," Tang Xuewu said with sincere conviction, personally brewing a cup of tea and handing it to her grandfather.

"Xuewu, how can you be so naive?" Old Master Tang held her hand, sighing repeatedly. "That large order from the Yaolong Group was secured by Wang Ming for you. How could Qin Long, a cripple, possibly influence such a major deal?"

Old Master Tang’s gaze was firm, allowing no room for doubt.

Just then, the secretary’s voice came from outside the office. "President Tang, Mrs. Zhao is here."

"Ah!" Tang Xuewu suddenly turned around. "This is perfect, Grandfather! Wang Ming must be here too. We can ask him face-to-face, and the truth will be clear."

Tang Xuewu was confident the truth would come to light instantly. Old Master Tang, however, was momentarily at a loss. He didn’t believe Qin Long in the slightest, but he knew his granddaughter well enough to see the unshakeable confidence in her eyes.

Could it really have been Qin Long who acted secretly?

Old Master Tang and Tang Xuewu went to the reception room together.

"Auntie Zhao, you’re looking younger every day," Wang Ming, dressed in a purple suit, said with a broad smile to Zhao Ruoying. He acted as if he owned the Tang Corporation.

Zhao Ruoying felt a bit puzzled as well. She had come to discuss product contract manufacturing with Tang Xuewu. However, just as she entered the Tang Corporation building, she ran into this young man, Wang Ming, who insisted on accompanying her. The Wang Family of Jiangzhong was quite a powerful family, and besides, Wang Ming’s mother was one of her own good friends, so she hadn’t refused.

"Auntie Zhao, thank you for giving such a large order to the Tang family," Wang Ming said. "My mother said that in the future, our family is willing to co-develop Plot Nine with the Zhao family."

Zhao Ruoying was perplexed. "Young Master Wang, what do you mean by that?" she asked, frowning at him in confusion.

She had given the large order to the Tang family solely to repay her debt to Qin Long. Since Qin Long wasn’t mentioning it, why should she speak out of turn? Besides, she was completely unaware of the enmity Wang Ming held for Qin Long.

"Haha, Auntie Zhao, our family received a great kindness from Grandma Tang Rulan long ago, and we have the utmost admiration for such a righteous person," Wang Ming began. "The Tang family has been in decline in recent years, and we’ve been wanting to help. However, our main business is real estate, so we couldn’t assist them directly. Auntie Zhao, you’ve really done our Wang family a huge favor today."

"My grandfather said we can split Plot Nine, sixty percent for the Wang family and forty percent for the Zhao family," Wang Ming declared, patting his chest in assurance.

Zhao Ruoying was overjoyed to hear this. The Zhao family was already wealthy, but who would refuse a great project that landed right in their lap? Besides, Zhao Ruoying was a shrewd businesswoman; there was no way she would pass up such a golden opportunity. Naturally, she was delighted.

She began to reconsider. I was only helping Qin Long to repay a debt, anyway. Now that Wang Ming has offered such a fantastic project, I might as well go with the flow. This will create more opportunities for the Zhao and Wang families to cooperate.

"Alright then, thank you to the Wang family for proposing this partnership on Plot Nine!" Zhao Ruoying laughed heartily and slapped the table decisively.

"Haha, Auntie Zhao, don’t be a stranger. You and my mother have been close friends for years. There’s no need for such formalities." Wang Ming was thrilled. This was the perfect way to win Tang Xuewu’s favor.

"Mrs. Zhao, what favorable wind brings you here today? Your presence truly makes our humble company shine!" At that moment, Old Master Tang, supported by Tang Xuewu, slowly emerged to greet them.

"Ah, Old Master Tang, you’re here as well! You’re too kind," Zhao Ruoying said, immediately stepping forward to greet him personally.

"Old Master Tang, Xuewu," Wang Ming immediately greeted them with a smile.

"You..." Tang Xuewu trailed off, startled to see Wang Ming.

"Oh, I heard from Auntie Zhao that she wanted to discuss contract manufacturing with you, so I came along to see if I could help," Wang Ming proactively explained his presence.

"That’s right. I consider young Ming my nephew, so he came specially to help," Zhao Ruoying added.

Upon hearing this, Old Master Tang beamed. Chuchu and Yuxiang had already found out that Wang Ming had asked his mother to help secure the large order from the Yaolong Group. It seemed the truth was finally out.

Tang Xuewu, however, wore a puzzled expression, her doubts about Wang Ming growing. Why does it feel like he’s the one who arranged this partnership with the Yaolong Group? And he specifically came to help with the contract manufacturing...

"Mrs. Zhao, Young Master Wang, please have a seat. We can discuss this at our leisure." The three of them sat down in the reception room and began their discussion.

"Mrs. Zhao, is there a problem with the Tang family’s factory?" Tang Xuewu asked, a hint of concern in her voice. This was the first major order she had signed since becoming general manager. Absolutely nothing could go wrong; she had to prove her capabilities to the entire Tang family.

If I don’t handle this well, all my efforts will have been for nothing. I don’t care about the empty title of general manager, but if I lose it, the Tang family will endlessly mock and ridicule me and Qin Long.

"It’s nothing serious. I just came to inform you, Miss Tang, that the Yaolong Group can handle the contract manufacturing for you, free of charge," Zhao Ruoying explained kindly and patiently. "I was going to have Manager Wu handle it, but he had to take leave for a family emergency. I happened to be meeting with a client nearby, so I thought I’d stop by and tell you myself."

"I see." Tang Xuewu breathed a sigh of relief.

"Auntie Zhao, rest assured, the scale and capabilities of the Tang Corporation are more than enough to fulfill this large order perfectly," Wang Ming interjected, waving his hand and looking at Zhao Ruoying with utmost sincerity. "If there are any minor flaws, please bear with us. If any financial losses occur, we’ll compensate the Zhao family from the profits of Plot Nine."

Old Master Tang’s eyes lit up. Now this is a true young talent! Young, rich, and with such an extraordinary air about him. To handle things so calmly in the cutthroat world of business... he’s a true prodigy! He found himself liking Wang Ming more and more.

"Young Master Wang, your intervention isn’t necessary," Tang Xuewu said, pursing her lips. "If there are any losses, our Tang family will resolve them on our own. We won’t take advantage of the Wang family."

"Xuewu, you don’t understand," Wang Ming said, glancing pointedly at Zhao Ruoying. "This large order from the Yaolong Group isn’t just a matter between the Tang and Zhao families; it’s the starting point for a partnership between all three of our families. We can’t have the Tang and Zhao families making all the money while the Wang family just sits back and watches, right, Auntie Zhao?"

Zhao Ruoying considered this for a moment. If the Wang family is truly willing to co-develop Plot Nine with the Yaolong Group, this would indeed mark the beginning of a three-way partnership.

"Yes, indeed," Zhao Ruoying said with a smile.

Wang Ming had achieved his goal of using this opportunity to pursue Tang Xuewu.

"How can this be..." Tang Xuewu felt as if she’d been struck by lightning.

The truth was now painfully clear. It really was Wang Ming who had secretly arranged the major deal with the Yaolong Group!

Doesn’t that mean... Qin Long lied to me? At that thought, Tang Xuewu’s heart sank with disappointment.

Old Master Tang, on the other hand, was beaming so widely he couldn’t close his mouth. The truth was finally out! To help the Tang family, Wang Ming was even willing to voluntarily give up so much profit!

Although neither Wang Ming nor Zhao Ruoying had stated it explicitly, the implication was clear.
