Chapter 119: Chapter 120: The Female Vice President Who Was Flung Away!

But I never expected my heart to ache this much. I have to see Brother Long. I have to tell him his little sister is still here, that his comrades and brothers are still here! We’re all waiting for the Heavenly Dragon to return!

She then went to a nearby restroom and changed clothes with Qing’er.

"Miss, what are you doing?" Qing’er was confused. This was her mistress’s favorite outfit; she couldn’t understand why Xiao Lingyue would want to change.

Seeing Qing’er’s confusion, Xiao Lingyue bit her red lip. "Brother Long doesn’t like clothes like this." With that, she strode toward the lounge. As she neared the door, she ordered Qing’er to prevent anyone from approaching.

"Young Master Qin, you would be wise to back out," the deputy manager said with a sigh of exasperation. "You’re already disabled. There’s no need to end your life this way! If you truly offend a woman of her stature, you won’t even get the chance to use that crutch. You will most likely die this time!"

She spoke as if scolding a child, her eyes filled with malice and disdain.

"Shut your filthy mouth!" Qin Long, growing irritated, commanded coldly.

"You’re the one with the filthy mouth! Your whole family has filthy mouths!" she shrieked. "You’re just a crippled dog on a crutch! You think you’re invincible just because you know a few people? This is the Longquan Hotel in Jiangzhong, and I’m the deputy manager! I’m not someone a piece of trash like you can insult!" Emboldened by serving the powerful woman, she didn’t give Qin Long a second thought.

Just then, Xiao Lingyue stepped one foot through the lounge door. Upon hearing the deputy manager’s words, her lovely face frosted over as a palpable killing intent surged from her.

"Feeling quite mighty, are we, Deputy Manager?" Qin Long glanced at her, his tone leaving no room for doubt. "Soon, you won’t be." A little shrew like her wasn’t enough to truly anger him.

"Is that so? I look forward to it!" she sneered, dropping all pretense. "If the boss hadn’t ordered me to look after you, do you think I’d waste my time on you? You’re really courting death!" She pointed a finger directly at Qin Long’s nose as she cursed him.

"That finger... I’ll be taking it!"

An ice-cold voice sliced through the air. In the next instant, a glint of cold steel flashed as a throwing knife shot toward the deputy manager’s hand. Startled by the voice, Qin Long reacted instantly. He slapped the woman aside, knocking her clear of the projectile’s path.

He didn’t look back, but a joyful expression spread across his face.

My little sister, Yue’er, is here!

Xiao Lingyue, Deputy Marshal of the Heavenly Dragon Army, was right behind him. They were childhood sweethearts who had faced life and death together, renowned as the Twin Prides of the Heavenly Dragon.

The deputy manager, whom Qin Long had sent flying with a slap, scrambled back to her feet, her face a mask of shock as she saw Xiao Lingyue. "Young Mistress, you’ve finally arrived!" she said with a fawning smile, bowing and scraping. "I was just persuading this cripple to give up the Sky Garden. Just give me a few more minutes, and I’ll be sure to teach him a proper lesson!" She knew this was her chance to make a good impression.

In a blur of motion, Xiao Lingyue closed the distance in a few long strides, stopping right in front of her. "Teach him?" she asked, her voice low and dangerous.

"Yes! This cripple actually dared to oppose you?" the deputy manager ranted, moving to strike Qin Long herself.

"I’m the one who’s going to teach *you* a lesson!" Xiao Lingyue roared. Her long right leg snapped back before exploding forward with tremendous force.

BANG!

With a sound like a clap of thunder, her kick landed squarely on the deputy manager’s chest—a perfect combination of speed, accuracy, and ruthlessness. The woman’s body was sent flying five or six meters, crashing heavily onto a nearby sofa.

BOOM!

The sofa instantly splintered into pieces, and the deputy manager let out a raw cry of agony.

Xiao Lingyue’s strength was extraordinary, honed over countless campaigns on the battlefield alongside Qin Long. While her skills weren’t quite on his level, she was still a peak expert in her own right. Though she was a woman, even dozens of trained martial artists would be no match for her. A mere deputy manager was nothing.

"A fool courting death dares to bare her teeth at me?" Xiao Lingyue retrieved her throwing knife and hauled the deputy manager up from the floor. "A slut who sleeps her way to the top thinks she’s qualified to lecture anyone?"

She began slapping the woman viciously, each blow delivered with immense power. Under the terrifying force, the bones in the deputy manager’s face collapsed and her recently sculpted nose was smashed crooked. A heart-wrenching howl tore from the woman’s throat.

"Qing’er, throw her out!" Xiao Lingyue ordered toward the doorway. "Have our people lock down this lounge and cut the surveillance feeds!"

"Yes, Miss!" Qing’er immediately grabbed the deputy manager by the hair and dragged her out of the room. A dozen women in leather pants then moved to swiftly secure the area, ensuring that nothing that happened inside would be known to the outside world.

Throughout all this, Qin Long hadn’t turned his head, but a gratified smile played on his lips.

Xiao Lingyue could no longer suppress the flood of emotions in her heart. She was the Heavenly Dragon Army’s famous Death Rose, a heroine who knew no fear of death. But now, tears welled in her beautiful eyes, and her lips trembled. She slowly approached Qin Long, her body shaking as she covered her mouth and lowered her head, sobbing bitterly.

"Long time no see, Yue’er," Qin Long said, watching her with deep affection.

Upon seeing his familiar face, Xiao Lingyue threw herself into his arms. "Brother Long!" Her eyes fell to his leg. "Your right leg..." she trailed off, her voice thick with panic, before she leaned against his injured leg and began to cry her heart out. "Brother Long, I should have come to see you sooner..." She clenched her fists in anguish as tears streamed down her face unchecked.

"You’re the dignified Deputy Marshal of the Heavenly Dragon Army. How can you be such a crybaby?" Qin Long chuckled, gently stroking her head.

Hearing this, Xiao Lingyue wiped her tears and suddenly snapped to attention, her posture becoming as rigid and straight as a silver spear.

SNAP!

"Marshal Long! Xiao Lingyue, Deputy Marshal of the Heavenly Dragon Army and Seven-Star General of the Southern Region, salutes the Heavenly Dragon!" Her salute was instantaneous, a sharp, precise motion worthy of the warrior known as the Death Rose.

Though three years had passed, Qin Long was not just her Brother Long in her heart; he was her Marshal Long, the only hero she had ever known. Her powerful voice echoed in the room, and outside the door, Qing’er also stood ramrod straight. Only those who have survived the crucible of the battlefield could ever understand such an emotion.

Furthermore, Xiao Lingyue was Qin Long’s junior disciple. They had been inseparable since she was eight, learning, eating, and training together—true childhood sweethearts. Qing’er, her confidante, knew that Marshal Yue cried out Qin Long’s name in her dreams. She also knew what he represented to the Heavenly Dragon Army: a faith that transcended life and death.

He was an ideal.

Inside the room, Xiao Lingyue stood perfectly erect, her right hand held in a crisp salute. Her exquisite features were set with grim determination, and though tears continued to stream down her face, her eyes held nothing but boundless reverence. It didn’t matter that the man before her was now a cripple leaning on a crutch. In her heart, Qin Long was eternal. This dragon of a man was the living faith of countless warriors.

Qin Long looked at her and made a small gesture for her to stand down, sighing softly.

"Yue’er, I’m no longer Marshal Long."
