Heavenly Dragon Doctor Son-in-Law-Chapter 101 - 102: Qin Long Takes Action!
Her grandfather was dying, and Tang Xuewu would soon be left without one. Her body swayed backward, threatening to collapse. It feels like this is all just a dream. Just then, a powerful arm wrapped around her waist, bringing with it an immense sense of security.
A gentle voice reached her ear. "Xuewu, don’t cry. I’m here."
"A-Long, do you have a way to save him?"
"Please, I’m begging you, save Grandpa! If you save him, I’ll... I’ll..." Tang Xuewu started to sink to her knees before Qin Long.
"You silly girl, how could I ever let you kneel to me?" Qin Long said softly, catching her. "Without you, I would have died three years ago."
He gently wiped the tears from her face. "When I decide to save someone, not even the King of Hell can take them away."
Qin Long then handed her over to Zhang Meilan. Leaning on his cane, he slowly walked toward the hospital room.
"Qin Long, you fucking idiot, get lost!" Tang Yuxiang roared.
"I’m going to save your grandfather," Qin Long stated calmly.
"Save him? My ass!" Tang Yuxiang bellowed, grabbing Qin Long by the collar. "Get the hell out of here!"
BEEP!
The monitor beside the bed blared once again.
The attending physician glanced at the Tang Family and shook his head helplessly. "His cardiac pressure is spiking! He could pass at any moment. You should all come and see the Old Master for the last time."
Hearing this, the members of the Tang Family erupted into desperate wails. After all, the Old Master was still their patriarch.
"If you don’t want the Old Master to die, then all of you, get out." Qin Long’s eyes turned cold as he scanned the room. "I can cure him with acupuncture!"
"You want to use fucking acupuncture now?" the expert Qin Long had cursed at earlier sneered, looking at him askance. "It’s hopeless! Do you even have a medical license? Get out, you madman!"
"He’s completely insane," Tang Yuxiang chimed in, not missing the opportunity to humiliate Qin Long. "If you’re so damn amazing, why don’t you fix your own crippled leg first?"
"You don’t even know the Old Master’s condition! How can you possibly save him with acupuncture?" the attending physician added, glaring angrily at Qin Long.
Qin Long ignored them and walked slowly to Old Master Tang’s bedside. He looked into the old man’s eyes and then felt for his pulse before speaking calmly.
"Severe thrombosis in the lower left cardiac vein, fifteen millimeters in length. Fibrinogen levels are far exceeding 3.5 g/L. If it isn’t cleared immediately, the resulting blockage of blood returning to the heart means a vessel could rupture at any moment. The obstructed blood flow to the brain is what caused his temporary coma," Qin Long analyzed as he continued his observation. "A condition like this doesn’t require surgery at all."
At his words, the room fell deathly silent. The expert physicians were frozen in place, their mouths agape in shock.
This cripple is no simpleton; he’s got some real skill. Could he actually know acupuncture?
Everyone exchanged stunned glances. This was the conclusion that more than a dozen of them had reached only after extensive discussion and with the help of advanced equipment. Yet, Qin Long had arrived at the same diagnosis just by looking at the patient’s eyes and taking his pulse. This was extraordinary.
"Sir, may I have your surname?" the bald attending physician asked, walking over with a newfound respect.
"Qin."
The experts gasped.
"All of you, out. I need complete silence while I perform the treatment." Qin Long’s gaze was stern. "Oh, and have a trash bag ready." A nurse immediately scurried to comply.
The bewildered Tang Family members were ushered out, not daring to object.
Tang Xuewu watched as Qin Long set his cane aside and sat by her grandfather’s bed, her heart overflowing with gratitude. He had always been mocked, despised, and even beaten by the Tang Family. Yet now, for her sake, he had stepped forward to take all the responsibility on himself. Staring at this seemingly foolish man, Tang Xuewu felt, for the very first time, the true depth of his charm and sense of responsibility.
The door to the room was shut tight.
Qin Long gestured for the nurse to remove the old man’s shirt. He then retrieved a copper-colored bracelet from within his clothes and, with a flick of his wrist, nine Golden Needles appeared in his hand like streaks of light. With a pulse of his energy, he sent them hovering in mid-air.
"Tang Linhai, if it weren’t for Xuewu, I wouldn’t lift a finger to save you," Qin Long said quietly. "I hope you treat her better when you recover." As he spoke, he guided the nine Golden Needles to pass lightly through a flame for sterilization.
The next second, Qin Long’s eyes flashed. He deftly pinched several Golden Needles between his fingers and plunged them into the major vessels around the old man’s heart. Four needles found their marks with perfect accuracy. He then lifted the old man’s right hand and, with another casual wave, inserted the five remaining needles into points on each finger. Soon, a thin wisp of smoke began to curl up from each Golden Needle.
「Outside.」
The Tang Family and the team of experts were waiting anxiously. They had no other choice but to let Qin Long try. Apart from the young nurse inside, no one knew the specifics of his technique.
"An alcohol lamp and a trash bag..." one of the experts murmured, looking perplexed.
The other doctors sighed helplessly. It was clear they didn’t believe Qin Long could possibly cure the old man. They were simply on standby, waiting for the nurse to alert them at the first sign of trouble.
"Tang Xuewu, you’re finished this time," Tang Yuxiang threatened, his face a mask of malice. "If anything happens to Grandpa, your whole family will be murderers! You can spend the rest of your miserable lives in prison!"
"Regardless of the outcome, at least Qin Long had the courage to step up and take responsibility. And you?" Tang Xuewu shot back, her pretty face flushed with anger. "What good are either of you, other than standing here making threats and pointing fingers?"
They watched as Grandpa lay dying, yet they didn’t even have the courage to sign the consent form for surgery.
"Save your excuses! The moment Qin Long fails to cure Grandpa, we’re calling the police to arrest him!" Tang Chuchu shrieked. "Besides, if it weren’t for him causing trouble, Grandpa might have already woken up! He collapsed because you people angered him!"
Tang Chuchu and Tang Yuxiang were being completely unreasonable, and Tang Xuewu decided to ignore them.
Time trickled by. Nearly half an hour had passed, and everyone’s anxiety was reaching a fever pitch.
"This is bad! Qin Long must have killed Grandpa with those needles and snuck away!" Tang Chuchu’s face was contorted with rage as she roared at Tang Xuewu. "Last time he gave Grandpa poisoned wine! That bastard is up to no good! Now he’s in cahoots with you, deliberately trying to murder Grandpa!"
At her words, everyone turned to glare angrily at Tang Xuewu, who could only lower her head in silence.
If Qin Long really can’t cure Grandpa, we’ll be targeted without mercy!
"That cripple, acting so high and mighty!" Zhang Meilan sighed, shaking with frustration. Qin Long’s actions had pushed their branch of the family to the edge of an abyss.
"A-Long wouldn’t lie to me!" Tang Xuewu declared, biting her lip as she raised her head and defiantly met their gazes.
"Haha! Have you gone stupid, Tang Xuewu?" Tang Chuchu pointed a finger at her, dripping with disdain. "I guess idiots of a feather really do flock together."
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Suddenly, the rapid sound of a monitor echoed from inside the room.
"He’s dead! Qin Long killed Grandpa!" Tang Yuxiang yelled in alarm.
"That’s not the danger alarm," the attending physician quickly corrected him. "It’s the sound of cardiac pressure returning to... Yes, that’s the sound of cardiac pressure returning to normal!"
