He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 645: (Edited). Breathing?

Somewhere in the Starry Sea
The starry sea was silent at the moment. However, danger lurked everywhere.
A spaceship was traversing through the void. However, it was completely invisible; no one could see it—not even supreme-stage, universe-level powerhouses. In the spaceship, two individuals were seated in a lounge. One had chestnut hair and deep hazel eyes. The other had white hair and pitch-black eyes.
These two individuals were, naturally, Kailen and Legoland, posing as Karag Anvilheart and Thuldor Prime.
"We’ve been travelling for a month. A few more days and we will be there. According to the map, we are almost there. Fortunately, the rank 9 concealment rune has made this journey really peaceful," Legoland said.
Kailen nodded.
During this period, the starry sea was very dangerous: various sentient beasts destroying unfortunate fleets; Vimodials absorbing the life force of certain planets; pirates and mercenary organisations hunting, capturing, killing people, and sieging ships.
However, no one had noticed them.
"The one-month period to enter the pocket world is up. I should head into the pocket world," Kailen thought. He downed the last glass of whiskey and stood up. "Will be cultivating in my room."
Legoland nodded. This bastard was going to break through again, wasn’t he? He shook his head and continued drinking. "Ahh... that’s life. If there is one thing vampires like, it’s alcohol."
Kailen entered his room. Quickly, he disappeared.
His eyes flashed open. His surroundings were far from ordinary; this was not the usual pocket world. He was in a simulation.
Kailen looked around him. He was in some sort of cave. Several individuals lay dead around him, their expressions ghastly—even in their dead forms. Their faces were grotesque, bloated, and looked horrifying. Some sort of reddish liquid was seeping out of their bodies.
Whatever had killed them was not ordinary.
Kailen quickly accessed his abilities. The only thing he had was the Law of Space. Every other ability he possessed was unavailable.
"At least I’m still at the rank 6 beginner-stage universe level."
He was wearing some sort of medieval-looking clothes: silk-like shirts and jeans. Even his shoes looked weird. "This simulation must be set in some ancient era. Possibly during the olden era—either during or before the olden war," Kailen thought. "I should inspect these corpses closely. Maybe I can find some clues."
Kailen moved closer to the corpse. He stared at the reddish liquid closely. The reddish liquid gave him the creeps. "What the hell is this?" Kailen thought. "I need to get out of here. The fact that they died here means whatever killed them is inside here. Also, what’s this?"
Kailen stared at the badge lying across the floor of the cave. Thunder Hill Empire Academy? So, the people who had died were from this Thunder Hill Empire Academy. He looked at his chest; the crest was also there.
"So I’m supposed to be some sort of Thunder Hill Empire Academy member. Also, the empire we are supposed to be from is this Thunder Hill Empire?" Kailen tried accessing a way out of the cave, but it was to no avail. There were no entrances. No ways out.
Kailen even tried using the Law of Space to tear space and leave the place, but it didn’t work. It was like some sort of power was preventing him from leaving here; he even tried to use the Law of Space to sense his surroundings, but it didn’t work. Even his natural perception as an awakener was not working.
This was extremely puzzling and dangerous.
"Right. The fact that I appeared here to find these guys dead is supposed to be some clue that it’s either impossible to leave this cave or leaving this cave won’t be simple," Kailen thought. "Also, being allowed to have only the Law of Space could be a clue. I might be able to use the Law of Space to escape this place if I manage to increase my strength. I need to cultivate. But, with the density of universe energy here, it wouldn’t have amounted to much even if I could access elemental mirroring. I don’t have elemental mirroring now. It means my situation is more precarious than I thought. I might even die to whatever killed them before I probably become strong enough to use the Law of Space to escape."
Kailen was in thought.
"Right, the secret realm." Kailen took several teleportation runic artifacts he had in his secret realm. He tried to use them to escape, but the runes did not even function. He used poisons he had stored in his secret realm to graze the walls of the cave, but they couldn’t work.
Kailen came to a daunting conclusion after trying all these methods. "I am stuck here. I cannot escape from whatever killed them. It will appear sooner or later. If I die in a simulation, I’m dead for real. Before it appears, I need to find a solution. Cultivation is my only glimmer of hope now, but it won’t change the situation. Wait, I have not studied this cave closely. Maybe I should study the walls of the cave closely. Places like this may have some clues on the walls."
Kailen decided to look at the walls. He squinted his eyes lightly. Was he imagining things?
"Are the walls breathing?"
Kailen observed carefully. That seemed to be the case. It was like the walls were heaving. This place was too weird and eerie. "How can the walls of a cave heave?" This was like the movement of some sort of...
Wait...
"Did I somehow end up in some living thing’s body?" Kailen came to a chilling conclusion. His gaze snapped back to the reddish liquid that was spewing out of their bodies. "If this is the body of a living creature, could that reddish substance be some sort of gastric acid or some sort of digestive enzyme that killed them? Or could it be the creature’s blood? Maybe the blood is so harmful that it killed them?"
Suddenly, Kailen heard some sort of crackling sound. He felt the heaving walls around him actually widening. A glint of realization flashed through his eyes.
"Oh no..."
