The bird was a rank 7 beginner stage galactic level lifeform. It screeched. It was a roc, boasting profound speed. Lightning spiraled out of its figure, its eyes becoming fierce as it shot several arcs of lightning towards the approaching attack from the griffon.
The two attacks collided. The fire elemental attack consumed the arcs of lightning, and at the same time, the runic griffon and the roc clashed into one another.
The collision was brief. The lightning roc screeched in pain and was consumed by the flames from the runic griffon. The lightning roc’s eyes dimmed as the lightning spiralling around its figure disappeared. It fell down from the sky, dead. However, before it got near Kailen, it disappeared into his storage ring.
Kailen nodded in satisfaction as the runic griffon turned into motes of light and disappeared.

During this experimentation with runesmithery, Kailen had managed to kill 700 beginner stage galactic level lifeforms in the pocket world with rune attacks. The one he just killed was the 700th one. Anytime he killed them, he would send them into his storage ring. He planne to use them to create new shadow creatures when he broke through to a higher rank.
Also, he managed to explore and make different poisons he had never gotten the time to work on. Apart from this, there was also a list of alchemical products, both pills and elixirs, he had experimented on.

Kailen nodded at the man’s words. "Very well, Uncle Li."
The middle aged man said, "Very good. I suppose you have already met Rin."
Kailen nodded.
