A figure materialized into everyone’s view -Kailen,hovering in the conference room.

As quickly as he appeared , he disappeared again without a word- not even in the time of a split second. However that flip of the middle finger didn’t go unoticed by Francisca and everyone else in the room.

" Search for him! Search for that crazy mother fucker ! Or I’ll burn you all!" With extreme anger , Francisca ordered, causing everyone to scurry out of the room ,in an attempt to search for Kailen .

The room was now completely silent, with only her husband present, both pairs of eyes traced towards a figure lying on the conference table, her chest glowing red with otherworldly intensity.

" No" Francisca shouted ,her voice tinged with anger and incredulity at what she had just observed- her daughter wanted to self detonate ,commit suicide.

Self detonaton- Awakeners can channel all the universe energy within them into a single point in their body. When this concentration reaches its limit, it triggers a massive burst-causing their body to collapse and explode with force comparable to a nuclear blast.

A cataclysmic explosion blasted outwards of Zane’s figure as she laughed maniacally, engulfing the whole room in blinding searing light .

Quickly , a shield of red searing flames-formed by Francisca ,akin to a dome, engulfed her figure,containing the blast from spreading further outwards.

Samaron and his wife watched ,as their child turned into smithereens from within the shield- perishing.

The explosion contained within the shield finally subsided ,then dissapeared along with the shield, protecting the environs from being destroyed due to the sheer catastrophic ability of the flames.

Zane Harker was dead.

She had died by committing suicide.

Samaron clenched his fists, so much that blood could be seen running down his arms.

He watched with profound hatred in his eyes , not just for Kailen , but for his wife who,completely unfazed by their daughter’s death- only viewing her from the lens of having lost an asset necessary to climb the ladder of power , bolted out of the room ,having turned into a streak of fiery red light.

" What kind of torment did my daughter have to endure to want to kill herself?"

Samaron stared at the dark scorched spot where the conference table used to be with lifeless eyes.

" Kailen Darkhaven must die. I don’t care about what is going on between him and the Darkhavens. I don’t care about what my daughter did to him to deserve this. However he killed my daughter ,and I want revenge . And alongside him, my wife must die too- after all, she artifacted all this"

He seethed , his expression dwarfing into that of pure malice.

All the pain he had kept bottled up, exploded, painting a canvas of hatred on his face.

" Who am I kidding" He chuckled-a laughter of self incredulity , mockery and self depreciation.

His back leaned on the wall as his figure slid weakly towards the ground .

" I’m still too weak . In the end ,it’s all about strength. When my son died , she turned a blind eye to it and I couldn’t do anything because I was weak. Now our daughter dies too ,this time because of her power hungry nature and I cannot even confront her about it because I’m extremely weak to do so . How pitiful "

Tears rounded Samaron’s green face, as he cursed himself for his weakness.

"Two thousand years and I’m still a rank 4 supreme stage ascendant lifeform. How laughable "

" No you are not" The voice barely a whisper returned ,however stronger ,loudable this time- as if to prove to him he was not hallucinating.

" You are weak. So weak " The voice furthered ,turning masculine this time " But you can be more than weak. I can give you power to rise above all.Power to take revenge for the death of your children, power to slay your wife, power to kill Kailen Darkhaven "

The incoporal being revealed itself.

Samaron watched with a fearful expression .

" What the hell are you?" He blurted the first words that came out of his mouth- his eyes locking onto the figure .

An ethereal looking humanoid figure floating above the ground, its body made of swirling mist. It had no solid flesh-just hazy outlines that shifted like smoke. Its eyes glowed faintly from within the fog, giving it an eerie presence. Every movement left trails of vapor in the air, like it was part ghost, part cloud.

The figure smiled faintly, as if not taking his question to heart.

" I’m your path to power. I’ve been observing you-for a long time. Waiting for when you seem desperate enough for power-to strike a deal with you"

Samaron chuckled , not because he didn’t feel the pure malice the figure radiated,or the fear it birthed inside him.

He laughed,because he knew what this creature was-it finally struck him like a bolt of lighting .
