In one of the several remote planets of the Valerian solar system, the capital of the Astral Empire, in a small bar- A popular topic that had brewed for a while now since a few days ago was currently being discussed . Several individuals ,men and women could be seen engaged in similar conversations around the same topic.

" Did you hear the news?"

" That new alchemist prodigy , Kailen Darkhaven stormed the birthday party of Zane Harker ,beat her up in front of many powerhouses of the empire and kidnapped her"

" It’s been three days , and yet ,there is no trace of Kailen Darkhaven . He seems to have dissapeared into thin air. The whole capital has been searched and yet he is no where to be found"

" What’s extremely fascinating is that, he was able to not only kidnap Zane Harker ,but disappear into thin air from before extremely strong powerhouses. That young man is not simple "

" This is indeed a big blow to the Harkers. It serves them right. I heard they wanted to bully him for his special alchemy flame. It looks like this young man wanted to send a message across that he’s not to be messed with"

" Yes, but I gotta say, this Kailen Darkhaven has really got guts. Also it’s no small achievement to literally be impossible to locate in the capital. The Harkers are now searching several planets in the solar system-yet there’s no trace of him.

" Heh, idiot . That’s not possible . Actually, I heard President Ha led them to every nook and cranny of his establishment for them to search for the kid. He did that with a wide grin plastered on his face,not in the least scared they will locate him in his estate"

" Why did he allow them to do so? He may not be as powerful in terms of physical strength as Zane Harker. However ,with his prestige ,he could have just said no to them and wouldn’t have been able to do shit"

" It’s obvious he just wanted them to make a fool of themselves. He was enjoying himself as they searched around aimlessly for the kid . According to the rumors"

News of this callibre was definitely bound to make waves to a point where the attention of the royal family would be drawn to it.

However like always, the royal family stayed out businesses related to the clans ,only observing with intrigue.

Old Ha , crouching in a beautiful garden,was watering and tending to some plants ,whiles humming a tune .

" Those bastards really gave me a good laugh" He recalled making the Harkers make a fool of themselves,during their visit to search for Kailen.

A figure suddenly materialised behind him-clad in some sort of ninja wear from head to toe.

" Sir " The figure saluted with reverence ,his voice tinged with shock

" Mmmm. You’ve returned " Old Ha replied ,still meticulously tending to the crops .

" Sir, I still can’t find him. The way he disappeared ,was extremely weird. Some sort of obsidian creature appeared,standing at where he previously stood before he disappeared,only for the obsidian creature to also vanish into thin air "

The corner of old Ha’s lips curved into a slight smile .

He stood up , faced the figure after tending to the crops

" Don’t bother. " He said .

"That kid is full of secrets and mysteries. Wherever he is I’m sure he’s fine. If there’s someone to be concerned about, it’s my disciple-rushing to the front lines to break through to the galactic level after being pressured by the kid during their battle . I hope he doesn’t get himself killed"

The figure remained quiet,listening to the old man, who stopped talking in the end.

The fragrance of tea leaves wafted as Old Ha poured some brewed tea into a small mug ,savored it for a moment and chugged it down his throat.

" You should get some rest. Kailen Darkhaven, that kid will be fine. If his father had been as sly and careful as his son is, perhaps he would still be alive "

The figure nodded and disappeared ,leaving old Ha to himself.

Earth.

The ocean roared and churned ,the sunrays scattering across it’s exterior.

Beneath the ocean depths ,several sea creatures loomed-yet, they steered clear from a particular part of the ocean , a cave where a figure could be seen seated across another figure,tied to an obsidian chair conjured from shadows.

The figure tied to the chair had a disheveled look on her face, the wounds from her crushing defeat three days ago having dissapeared. Her clothes were tathered in multiple areas. Yet the pale faced ,dark eyed , gentleman seated across her did not even spare her a glance.

He could be seen staring at a holographic screen before him with a happy expression.

" You have no idea what’s coming for you. You dare to offend the Hark-"

Before she finished speaking,the gentleman’s gaze snapped from the screen to her .

A bolt of azure lightning shot from his figure towards her mouth ,silencing her from speaking- her mouth ,having been reduced to ashes.

The scream she wanted to let out never came. After all, her object of speech had been compromised. It would take a while for the regeneration of her mouth from utilizing universe energy to kick in.

Tears trickled down her face, as she experienced unimaginable pain.

Zane had never been more humiliated. These past few days had been her nightmare.

The man before her, was someone she should have never messed with.

She had resorted to the only thing she knew-threathening him with her family’s power. And yet,the young man before her had only intensified her pain with every word she spoke.

" I used to think jade beauties were only the stuff of novels. Turns they really exist "

Kailen stood up, nearing her.

He stared at her in the eyes with his deep dark ominous eyes,sending a chill crawling up her spine.

" This guy is a psychopath. Why did I ever mess with him. I should have listened to Bryce!"
