Chapter 76: This Kid is an Asshole
"...w-What did you do?"
The vampire asked in a very irritated voice.
And Adam replied back to it saying.
"Just like I said, you’re blind as a bat. For someone that can manipulate Miasma, you can’t even tell the difference between a Miasma mirage and a real body...hehehe...now that is funny, but I guess Minerva was right: Monsters typically dont invest their time learning how to manipulate Miasma properly despite their affinity to the negative energy.
"So your defeat here is a skill issue on your part, my undead stranger."
"Tsk... you think you won, ha?"
The severed head said as it lay flat on the ground, twitching slightly in its boiling anger. Its glowing red eyes narrowed into slits as they locked onto Adam, who now stood fully healed, casually dusting off the bloody dust and debris from his feathered sleeves.
"You idiot."
The head growled, voice muffled by its awkward position on the stone floor.
"Do you really think decapitation would work on me?"
Adam tilted his head with a smirk, arms crossed, not even bothering to reply.
"I’m a vampire, moron. Peasant class or not, we don’t die that easily. So long as my heart, brain, or even a fragment of my spine remains intact, I can regenerate from damn near nothing."
The vampire’s voice grew louder, a mix of anger, pride, and smugness present in his voice.
"Watch and behold, you half-baked mutt. Now you’re really gonna regret humiliating me like this."
The severed head began to pulse faintly. A low hiss echoed as the air thickened with the scent of fresh blood. Crimson droplets dripped out of his ragged neck like a leaky faucet as if under some kind of bleeding effect, but unlike a normal corpse, they didn’t stop. The head was replenishing its lost blood at an alarming rate as it bled out. Veins pulsed under the skin.
Muscles began to twitch under the severed neck.
And then that was when it happened.

...
Nothing...absolutely nothing at all, happened.
The blood continued to leak... and leak... and leak.
There was no sign of his body regrowing. No sinew stitching itself back together. No limbs sprouted from his neck. Just an endless flow of blood, regenerating within the head, only to pour uselessly onto the floor in an endless cycle.
"What the hell?...
The head muttered, confusion creeping into its tone.
Adam, now standing nearby with his arms folded, leaned in slightly, an arrogant little grin etched across his face clearly amused by the situation before him.
"...Having a little trouble there, Sunny?"
Adam replied as he just casually gave the nameless vampire a name in place of his original name, as if naming a stray dog that ran away from its previous home.
The vampire’s eye twitched in annoyance as he looked up at Adam from where he lay on the ground and said.
"W-w-what...the hell did you do to me?"
Adam just chuckled and knelt down to meet him at eye level, his voice low and sarcastic and full with cruel amusement, clearly getting his revenge on Sunny for throwing him straigth through thirteen whole walls...and almost dying at the fourteen wall.
"You really think you’re special just because you can’t die the normal normal way ha?"
The vampire’s expression turned to a mix of rage and confusion as Adam stood up, pacing around him slowly.
"A wise woman once told me that immortal’s like herself always feel invincible, just because they harder to die than most. Like the laws of nature just bow to your kind or something?"
He glanced down with a cocky smirk.
"Well, I’m here to introduce you to the very specialized skill set I’ve have recently aquired on my journey here. The kind designed to make immortals like you wish you weren’t.... HMM I DONT KNOW!? Soooooo...immortal."
The vampire flinched at Adam’s words.
"You...you...bastard!"
He shouted out in irritation, as Adam began to reply.
"Oh, no no."
Adam cut him off with a casual wave.
"Let me finish.
From their he pointed at the vampire’s still-bleeding stump.
"You? Yeah, you’re not healing."
"I can see clearly."
"How laughable now that I think about it."
Adam bluntly called out to Sunny, as he began to slowly rub a fact in.
"Well I will tell you this, it’s not because you are weak, but to make things understandable, let’s just say we are a bad match up. I am the reasons that your regen’s is straight-up not working right now. Your head’s still alive, your body is still active... but the two of you as two seperate parts? You’re never getting back together."
Adam leaned down again, eyes glowing slightly with malicious glee.
But he truly hit home with his petty insults, we he told Sunny...
"Get use to living like this forever Sunny, you will fit right in as my first vampire trophy."
Adam mocked him further.
However Sunny face contorted at his words. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
"Stop calling me that! My name is Cecil! Not Sunny."
But Adam was an asshole.
He just snorted at his complaints, and reply back saying.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, Sunny."
"Stop calling me that!"
"Make me then."
"I’ll kill you...
The head snarled back furiously; the thought of having his pride wounded like this send him to the edge really quick.
"I swear on my blood, I will make you suffer a 100 times more that I have for this humilation. Just you wait and see, and th.... MHMM... MMMMM!!...
THUUSHKKK!!
But before Sunny had time to speak.
Adam bent down, and picked up a medium-sized rock from the ground, it was dusty as it was bloody, and without saying another word, he brutally jammed the stone straight into Sunny’s open mouth.
Shutting him up on that spot while saying.
"Put a sock in it, Sunny-boy."
Cecil, or rather... Sunny, let out a muffled, outraged sound as the rock gagged him mid-sentence.
"I couldn’t care less about your feelings."
Adam continued, speaking almost casually now.
"Maybe this will make you think twice before you, and whoever’s pulling your strings decided to invade my family’s territory."
Sunny flailed his eyes around wildly, but his head could only sit and seethe.
Vampires didn’t need to breathe, sure...but that didn’t make having your mouth stuffed with a jagged rock any more pleasant. Every attempt to talk only caused his own fangs to scrape against stone. A pathetic, wet gagging noise escaped his throat as his face turned red with rage and humiliation.
However Adam was a pretty petty person; he takes the outmost joy in tormenting his tormentors.
