The corridor was a long hallway that stretch far in multiple corners, almost a maze of different private rooms

Lined with decorative glass that reflected the faint shimmer of crimson light seeping from the torches that floated in midair of this place.

Adam walked first, his footsteps echoed in a slow rhythm that matched the throb of his heart. Beside him, Priscilla followed, her heels barely making a sound. Yet her presence filled the space all the same.

Neither spoke for a while. They didn't have to, or rather Priscilla did not know how to approach Adam in this moment. After the story Mordux told them in regards to Adam's, it goes without saying he has a lot to think about.

So to preserve the moment, she remained silent for the most part of the accent to this place.

But even she knew she could no remain silent forever.

"Sigh!!...

Priscilla lightly sighed to herself, her arms folded as she began to speak.

"A penny for your thoughts boy!?"

"..."

"..."

"... I am here to talk when you feel like it."

She leave the conversation at that, Adam on the other hand merley close her eyes as he began to speak.

"I don't really know what to say!?"

"You can say anything you want, nothing is wrong to vent you know, by the end of the day you are still human in heart at the very least... So crying or expressing ones emotion is trait within all living beings. Humans especially."

"I don't want to cry, to be honest I don't really feel anything really. I am just how do I say this... Unsure how to react to Mordux information. Growing up, all I have ever known is you guys, Sister White, Rakasha, Minerva and Echidna, you included. Now suddenly I have an uncle, can you believe it, I have an entire family out there, somewhere in the universe, maybe right here on earth. But even now, I struggle to express the proper emotions here, sigh... I don't want to sound like an asshole, but I can shed a tear for people I have never even known."

Priscilla looked at Adam as she nodded slowly, as she responded with her hands still folded.

"Then don't cry about it, even though you where dealt a shitty hand in your earlier life, look at you now. Echidna Apostle, The Second Typhon, King of the Sidhe, Chosen of Desire, Prince of the Gorgons, you have achieved so much boy. For one so young."

"I know...

Adam said his eye partially closing.

"I know, but anyway's let's not my sour mood ruin our date."

"Hmph, I am glad you remembered."

Wit that they turned the corner, the hall opening into a chamber of gentle light.

A balcony of dark marble overlooked the abyss beyond the Tower. The air shimmered faintly with motes of pale blue, fragments of astral dust that drifted upward like lazy snow.

In the center stood a single round table, its surface carved from moonstone. Two chairs. Two glasses already filled with a wine that glowed faintly violet.

Adam exhaled softly.

"Talk about being extra... still this is the place you where talking so much about in the car."

He smiled faintly.

Priscilla crossed her arms, eyes darting aside.

"Don't get the wrong idea. I only picked this because the view is decent...

Her tone was defensive, almost annoyed, but her cheeks told a different story. The faint blush beneath her pale skin caught the moonlight.

"How is there a moon in this place, underground that is."

"Because the entire mansion or house underground is the size of our local solar system, it is recreated space basically speaking."

Adam chuckled quietly.

"Hahaha, I see, I see... Oh well, it's beautiful regardless."

Priscilla clicked her tongue.

"Tch. Whatever... Let us take our seats boy "

She said as she walked past him, taking her seat with practiced grace.

Adam sat opposite her, glancing once toward the endless dark beyond the balcony.

Down there, the Tower's lower levels vanished into mist and light on a cosmic level. The sheer size fills with apprehension, he does not know why, but the great darkness felt no as empty as it looks, weird enough he felt as of he was being watch as well.

By what however, he did not know, but alas it did not matter either way. Because up here with Priscilla, there was only peace.

A strange, fragile peace.

"So….....

Adam began, swirling his glass.

"How is the food here?"

He asked, mostly to make conversation, and gave Priscilla a curious look, who returned that look but with a half-lidded stir.

"Why are you asking me? You think I come here often or something?"

She said bluntly, mildly annoyed but a little happy he asked nonetheless.

Adam just smirk, as he replied.

"You mean you don't?"

She frowned, but the corner of her lip betrayed a tiny smile.

"…Maybe once or twice in the past."

There it was again, a soft crack in her guard. The warmth she never quite let him see for too long.

Adam leaned forward slightly, elbows on the table.

"Quite the cliche vampire are you!?"

"cliche, boy the hell you mean I am cliche vampire!?"

"I mean masquerades, pocket dimension space under a 5-star hotel, red dress, parties, execution halls, and expensive lifestyle under the moon."

"..."

"..."

"... Hmph, you just don't have taste boy, I pity you."

Priscilla said folding her hand, as she scoff and turn her head.

Causing Adam to chuckled a bit as he responded saying to her.

"I have a lot of taste, if I didn't I wouldn't be with you right now would I. The woman makes the man you know."

Priscilla blinked, her eyes narrowing.

"Are you flirting with me?"

"Would it work if I said yes?"

She huffed.

"No, it would just make you look desperate."

"Ouch."

Adam said as smile face crept up his face, and for a moment a small silence came over the two. Then she murmured.

"But… maybe I would let it slide... Just this once."

Her gaze flicked away almost instantly after saying it, pretending to focus on the glass instead.

Adam didn't call her out... He didn't need to, he felt sincerity as clear as the morning sun on his skin, or the cold breeze of the night.

Just seeing the red tint spread across her ears was also enough.

But at the same time, an approaching sound draw near to them.

The servants, or rather, the faceless undead spirit, a high level one at that came before them, he was the one that managed the Tower's upper halls.

Beside him, several more ghost like entities came to meet them.

Their forms were silhouettes of shifting smoke, each carrying a tray. They placed the dishes gently before the two and vanished again, fading like dreams after dawn.

Priscilla had pre-ordered, thinking this would be a better move on her part, so they can talk and eat.

The food was nothing earthly of course, rather it was the cuisine of the Monster Worlds, that vampire usually eat their if they are not drinking blood for sustenance.

Given they where one of the very few Monster Kind, that lives a mostly civilized lifestyle among their kins.

Slices of astral fruit glowed faintly pink, resting beside folded petals of cooked moonlily, and other worldly monster meat. The aroma was subtle, sweet with a slight metallic undertone.

Priscilla poked at it with her fork.

"You would think after all these years, they would learn how to serve food appropriate of the world, but I guess not, still though these are nice dishes, best of the best to be honest."

Adam grinned.

"You mean something greasy, probably human-made... Yeah I love me my human food, but Monster Cuisine are not bad at all, I have tasted them once or twice before when Kifril comes to visit me from time to time, and would brings alot of gifts from his home to share among us."

Her eyes lifted toward him.

"Kifril, I still don't approve of him, also how is your fiancés doing!?"

"Ha!? She is at the castle alongside Beretta managing the kingdom in my place, a dedicated wife that one is, however the palace is where she can truly shine, still fine woman."

"Hmph... So you are dead set on creating a harem!?"

"Yeah, it has always been my dream. Especially when said lady has both grace and elegance. For example you."

Adam said throwing a flirty tone her way.

Causing her to cough a bit, taken by suprise by his bold choice of words.

"S-SHUUT BWOY... Cough! Cough...

Adam chuckled at this, as he continue while tilting his head slightly, and asked.

"You don't like elegance?"

"I didn't say that... Ahhh you know what I mean you instigator."

She took a small bite, eyes half-closed as she chewed.

"Anyways back to food topic… all I was saying that sometimes I miss simplicity."

Adam leaned back, his reply unexpected.

"That's new coming from you." 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Well, you always act like you're above that sort of thing."

Her fork froze midair.

"…I'm not above anything."

The tone surprised him, quiet, not angry. Almost like she was confessing something without realizing it.

Adam's smile faded slightly seeing where he went wrong with that response.

"Hey. I didn't mean it like...

"I know."

She cut him off softly.

"It's just… sometimes, people forget that even us Shinso monsters can feel small, when compare to truly horrific powerhouses out there."
