Chapter 212: Sweet napping

Leon was aimlessly wandering around the park, avoiding the forest paths because he wasn’t ready to face another wolf that wasn’t Audrey, Sebastian, or Lake. Those were the people he was used to, for now.

"He wants a month, right?" He paused in front of a long path, having a founder thought about heading toward the forest.

"Maybe I can just go... a little wandering wouldn’t hurt," He whispered.

He slowly nodded, he wanted distractions from the loud thoughts in his head, Mark’s words were ringing consistently in his head.

The way Mark had stared at him while speaking to him, the feeling he had gotten when Mark touched him.

Leon needed some distractions. The way Mark had held his hand had been so... strange; he felt like something was pulling him toward Mark without the knowledge of either.

Just to himself, he would admit that for a second, he wanted Mark to keep holding his hand.

But he knew it was the bond stuff messing with him. He wasn’t even going to start with the way Mark looked at him, so raw, so honest... it made him really want to give him a chance. Too bad Mark’s guy.

Leon could imagine how it would have been if his maye were a woman; it would have been mind-blowing because he’d just discovered that having a wolf as a partner would be a bomb since they were sensual creatures.

How would the sex be? Only a fleeting touch from Mark left him wandering in front of the forest with silly thoughts going through his mind, what would happen when he kissed...

"I’ll just head into the forest, then," He said and forced the thought of how Mark’s strong hand felt on his out of his mind.

He followed the clear path into the forest, slowly looking around to find the direction that would appeal more to him. He recalled the place Audrey and Mikhail had taken him to in the past and turned in that direction, hoping to go further than they had taken him.

There was no need to be scared, no need to fear wolves; it was just someone out on a hunt or a run. There is no need to faint anymore.

He walked ahead, leaves crunching beneath his feet as he passed trees and shrubs, even flowers, but he still didn’t find the spot.

So, je kept walking, looking down and observing the way the sun’s rays filtered through the spaces between the leaves and shone on the dried and semi-dry leaves and ground. Some trees were bigger and smaller than the others, some roots and branches dug deep into the earth while some arched out of the earth and arched up the length of his waist.

The first was quite beautiful and serene that morning, unlike that night he first visited.

"It’s just a month... I don’t have to have to see him for that period. That way, the bond will slowly fade before I finally reject him," he whispered to himself as he walked into a small clearing surrounded by flowers and shrubs.

"Hmm," he murmured, wondering why the place looked like it had been purposely sectioned out from the heavy atmosphere in the forest. It felt more appealing, and he couldn’t resist stepping in a walking around the place.

He slowly bent over and pulled his shoe off, needing to feel the soft grass on his bare feet.

Leon walked around the small clearing, reaching out to touch all the flowers around the place.

"Can’t believe I’m doing this," He muttered and plopped down on the ground, gently lowering his back to the floor.

"Ahh," he sighed as the cool grass padded his back, but a single piece of rock could be felt behind him.

The sun didn’t penetrate much on that area due to the thick leaves of that particular tree, but Leon still placed his arm over his eyes as he closed them.

He just wanted to rest for a minute and allow the quietness and peace of the forest to calm his racing thoughts; but, it seemed like the peacefulness overwhelmed his mind because he fell asleep in less than a minute.

Napping, yes, but Leon could feel his unconscious mind tell him that he wasn’t alone anymore.

He slowly stirred in his nap, feeling a warm, heavy breath on his nose. Slowly, he lifted his arm off his face and opened his eyes.

Midnight dark eyes stared down at him, fangs exposed as a pink tongue slightly stuck out between the mouth, the velvety grey fur covered the face of the magnificent wolf gazing harmlessly down at him.

Leon should have at least gotten startled for a second or even freaked out. But he didn’t. He didn’t feel an atom of threat from the grey wolf.

It felt like the wolf was there to protect and watch over him as he slept. There was a calming and comforting presence that came with the presence of the wolf.

"Oh..." Leon chuckled as the wolf gently placed its forehead against his, its cold snout touching the top of Leon’s lip.

A low, soothing growl rumbled in the wolf’s chest as it gently rubbed its head against Leon’s.

"Um, hey, big guy. Seems like I slept on your turf, huh?" He spoke very gently and raised his hand to touch the wolf’s face, but he hesitated, hovering it by the side of the wolf’s face.

With a gentle nudge from the wolf’s head, it moved the side of its head toward Leon’s hand, rubbing the fur against him.

"Oh... I’ll pet you, big guy," Leon chuckled as he saw what the wolf was doing.

It took the initiative and buried his fingers beneath the heavy, soft fur, gently grazing his finger over the warm, smooth, furry skin.

The wolf purred from Leon’s gentle touch, its eyes turning deeper and darker than the night as it gazed deeper into Leon’s eyes.

"Oh, okay... okay," Leon laughed as the wolf suddenly started to lick his face, the rough tongue tickling his senses.

"Okay, okay, haha! You’re welcome. You’re welcome, buddy," Leon held the wolf’s face as it spoke to it, looking it directly in the eyes.

The wolf growled lowly in response, hiving Leon on elastic lick beside the lips.

Leon shook his head and slightly moved his face away. "Alright, big guy. Can you let me up?" He asked, tapping the wolf’s body.

With a slight nod, the wolf moved off of Leon’s face and sat very close to him, watching his face.

Leon sat up, smiling as he stared back at the wolf, "I’m Leon, you probably can’t speak in your current form, but I hope we can be friends when you turn back to human - Oh?" He gently reeled back as the wolf suddenly nodded and growled.

"Um, are you okay?" Leon asked as he heard the wolf’s continous growl, watching it lower its face to the ground.

He got on his knees and went to the wolf, placing his hand on its head as it kept growling and shaking. The growl got deeper each time, causing Leon to wonder if he shoukd quickly run back into the packhouse and call Lake. Maybe this big guy needed some help.

Somehow, the wolf managed to lift his fore limbs to Leon’s chest, growling tuteldy.

Leon immediately moved closer to the wolf, hugging it and patting its back kindly, "It’s okay, I’ve got you. You just catt your breath, and I’ll go get the Alpha to help you... skin?" Leon suddenly paused, furrowing his brows as the fur he was just partying turned into a smooth, toned skin.

Snapping his head down to see what was happening, he gasped in shock as he saw the very familiar face of his mate lying quietly and tiredly on his shoulder.

"Mark?" He called quietly, sensing Mark’s tired state.

’So that was Mark’s wolf? Was that why I felt so fearless with him?’ He pondered heavily.

"Mmm," Mark gently but firmly wrapped his arm around Leon’s waist, pulling him in for a tight hug.

"Hey, don’t hug me like that, you can let go if you’re feeling okay now," Leon said, pushing against Mark’s chest.

Mark didn’t budge, he turned his face to the side amd sniffed Leon’s neck, "Mine." He whispered.

Leon released an anxious chuckle, "Oh, no- I mean, chill, man, you dont have to go all Alpha on me... I was just being nice -"

"Too nice... I even got jealous of my wolf from the way you treated it," Mark blew a soft air against tyebaide Leon’s neck.

Leon gritted his teeth as he felt that single action trigger something unknown inside of him. His hands tightened on Mark’s arm, not pusbing him away, just grounding himself with Mark’s presence so he doesnt act out of line.

"I was juat being nice," Leon whispered.

Mark slowly pulled away and placed his hand under Leon’s chin, his eyes studying his face. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

A small smirk played on his lips when he saw something flashing across Leon’s eyes, something he recognised as a mate unconsciously asking to be claimed.

"You even asked to be friends with me..., I’m human now... can we be friends, Leon?" Mark asked calmly.

Leon shook his head, blinking forcefully to get his head back to the matter at hand, embarrassed by the ryor of thoughts that suddenly flooded his mind.

With flaming cheeks, he glared at Mark and said, "Get your fucking hands off of me," he tried pulled his hand away from Mark.

"Careful, my Prince, if you get up now, you’ll see your pleasure tool standing erect for you... unless your ready to handle it, don’t move, don’t look," Mark’s warning carried a heavy sensuality to it, his eyes locking Leon in place.

Leonscheeks flamed hotter as he understood what Mark’s was saying, "Shit, um, okay, okay, you tell me when you’re ready." He stammered.

Mark smiled sexily, unblinking, he didn’t want to miss a single flustered reaction from the man who he couldn’t wait to fuck.
