Hated By The Alpha-Chapter 192: A club date
"He’ll be fine. He’s just running temperature," Audrey said to Lake.
They were back in Mikhail’s room, and Audrey needed to say something to Lake so he wouldn’t question his sickness again.
"You can’t heal him?" Lake sounded worried.
Audrey shook her head, "It’s not that serious, and it’s not every time I use magic on him; I want him to experience childhood like a normal child." She said.
Lake observes her, he believes her, and he loves her.
He felt awful for his actions earlier; he had almost lost it with her, and it was because he was scared that something might have happened to them. Sometimes, caring for someone might just turn out to be more dangerous than the danger we fear they might face.
He has to learn how to manage his emotions; he never wants to have any fights with her again.
"Come on, Moma. I’ll get someone to take care of him for a few hours." He held her hand.
Audrey frowned, "Where are we going?" glancing at his son, who was still sleeping on the bed.
She didn’t want to leave his side until he opened his eyes and she had asked him how he felt, and after she made sure he was good, she could now think of somewhere to go.
Lake wrapped his arm around her, "Don’t worry, I know you don’t want to leave him, yet; me, too. I just wanted to take you downstairs and make something for you to eat; when he wakes up, I’ll take you somewhere to unwind," He whispered in her ear.
Audrey smiled, "You? Cook? And, where are you taking me?" She questioned.
Lake chuckled, "Don’t look down on me. We’ll keep some for Mikhail, too. He’ll love my cooking." He kissed her shoulder.
Audrey shrugged, "Fine, let’s give it a try." She turned in his arms and jumped on him, wrapping her legs around his waist.
"What?" She asked, raising a brow as Lake stood frozen in place, staring at her face without blinking.
"Are you sure it’s food you want to eat... or..." he smirked, his hand skidding over her thighs.
Audrey scoffed, "Or what? Get your mind out of the gutter, Alpha. Take me to the kitchen, this instance." She spoke sternly.
"As you wish, my lady," He smiled and carried her down to the living room.
They were halfway to the kitchen when they heard a knock on the door.
"It’s Sebastian, ignore him," Lake said and kept walking toward the kitchen.
Audrey frowned, "Come on, turn around. Let’s hear what he has to say," She instructed.
Lake sighed, defeated, "Okay."
He turned around and walked to the door, still carrying Audrey in his arms.
He gently opened the door and fixed Sebastian with an angry gaze, "What?" He asked.
Sebastian stared at Audrey, who was looking comfortable and cosy in Lake’s arms.
"Are you a child?" He questioned.
Audrey didn’t respond, she simply lay her head on Lake’s shoulder, "You wished she could let you hold her this way." She smirked.
Sebastian frowned, he was about to reply when he saw that the door almost closed on him.
"Whoa! Wait, wait, hold on," He held the door open with his hand, peering through the circle of the door.
"Speak and get lost, Sebastian," Lake said, opening the door one more time.
Sebastian sighed, "Well, I was just coming to check if you guys are ready to go out... clubbing. But, it seems you’re not." He said.
"So that’s where we were going?" Audrey smiled.
Lake was looking at Sebastian with contempt. he had wanted it to be a surprise for Audrey, but Sebastian’s big mouth couldn’t keep it in.
"You can go ahead. We’ll join you guys later," Lake said and slammed the door on Sebastian’s face.
"Stupid..." Lake muttered as he carried Audrey toward the kitchen.
Audrey laughed softly, "Come on, Baby; don’t pout, I’ll still go with you, and trust me, I love your surprise." She kissed his cheek.
Lake sighed, "Then let’s hurry. But, a fair warning; I’m killing any man who lays their eyes on you," He said, dropping her on the kitchen counter.
Audrey chuckled, "You don’t need to kill them, I have eyes only for you, my Alpha," She whispered seductively.

Sebastian walked down from Lake’s condo, heading toward the passage that led to Green’s room.
He passed in front of her door and sighed; he checked his time and stared at the door.
He had less than an hour to convince the cold queen to go to the club with him tonight.
He took a deep breath and raised his hand to knock on the door, but before his hand could reach the door, it was pulled open from the inside.
"Oh, hi..." Sebastian smiled awkwardly and lowered his hand to his side.
Green looked bored and tired as she stared at the man in front of her door.
"What do you want now, Sebastian," she questioned in a calm tone.
Sebastian cleared his throat, "I want you." He said.
"What?" Green raised a pissed brow at him.
"Um, no, I-I... I meant, I want you to come with me," He stammered.
"Not interested," Green said and slammed her door on his face.
Sebastian reeled back from the sound of the slammed door. Why did everyone want to slam their doors in his face?
He took another deep breath and knocked on her door again. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"Green, please, you haven’t even heard what I have to say. Just listen to me, okay? If you really don’t want to go to that place I’ll leave you, I promise," Sebastian leaned against the door and pleaded.
There was silence for a few seconds before he heard the door unlock again.
He stepped away from the door and waited for her to open the door.
The door slowly opened and Green stood there, silently waiting for Sebastian to say what he wanted to say.
"Um, okay... so, I was thinking you would like to go to the club with me... would you?" He asked, looking into her eyes.
Green blinked, "Fortunately, I don’t want to go to the club with you," She smiled and gently closed her door.
"Ouch," Sebastian bit his lip, "Why bother opening the door when you never planned on agreeing?" He whispered and turned away from the door.
It was settled, then; he’ll just be a plus one to Audrey and Lake... he was used to it.
He was walking past Leon’s room when he heard a movement in there.
Leon was up.
He gently pushed the door in and peeked inside; Leon sat up in bed, looking lost and weak, It’s been a day since he fainted, he must be weak and hungry.
"Hi, how are -"
"Stay away from me! Stay away from me! You want to eat me!" Leon suddenly moved to the wall, his scarred eyes narrowing at Sebastian who had just stepped his foot inside the room.
Sebastian paused and sighed, "Relax, man; I’ve just been rejected by the girl I like, I don’t have an appetite," He replied.
Leon stared at Sebastian, not moving, "Sorry to hear that, but, can you leave? I need to speak to Audrey. I want to leave," He said.
Sebastian shrugged, "Fine." He said and left the room, closing the door behind him.
He went back up to Lake’s Condo, this time, Audrey answered the door.
"Come in. We’re almost ready, I just need to check on Mikhail," Audrey said.
Sebastian went into the house, following Audrey to the living room.
"It’s not about going out. It’s about your friend; he’s awake and wants to leave," Sebastian lowered himself onto the sofa.
Audrey halted on her way to the kitchen, "Leon? Now? Is he okay?" She turned to face Sebastian.
"He’s fine. He looks hungry and scared, though. Overall, he’s good." Sebastian replied.
"Aww, poor guy. I’ll just go see him quickly," She said and ran inside the kitchen.
"What’s up, moma?" Lake asked as he saw Audrey coming toward him with a plate in her hand.
"Who’s that for? I’ve already dished out our food," Lake said.
Audrey smiled at him, "It’s for Leon, he’s awake," She replied, pushing the plates toward him.
Lake frowned, "I can’t be the one cooking for him," he folded his arms.
"Come on, Baby. At least, let your grudge go this time, he’s sick, and, it’s all because of you," She accused.
Lake sighed, "Just this once. This is not happening again." He said, and took the plate.
After three scoops of beef stew onto the plate, he handed it to Audrey.
"We have a few minutes to leave, Mom. You’re not his nurse," he said in a flat tone.
Audrey kissed him, "I know." She smiled and carried the food away.
"I’ll follow," Sebastian said and followed Audey out of the house.
Audrey went inside Leon’s room, but Sebastian didn’t make it in.
"Can I speak to you, Mr. Sebastian?" Ava appeared beside him and held his arm.
Sebastian was about to refuse when he heard Green’s door opening, he didn’t need to look to confirm that she was standing there, watching him.
"Yes, Ms. Hamilton. This way," he replied, and led Ava to the general living room.
Green’s eyes were locked on Ava’s hand that was holding Sebastian’s, her face hard as a rock.
