Harem Startup : The Demon Billionaire is on Vacation-Chapter 741: Everything is Negotiable
Chapter 741 – Everything is Negotiable
Zavros exhaled slowly and was about to talk again.
The elevator doors slid open.
And immediately...
Perfume.
Silk.
Warm chaos.
Seraphyne stood there like she had teleported directly out of a romance novel. Night robe. Bare shoulders. Hair slightly messy like she absolutely had not been sleeping. Definitely not.
The moment she saw Zavros?
Boom!
Full body tackle.
She wrapped around him and kissed him like the world was ending in thirty seconds and she planned to win.
Zavros stumbled half a step back. Recovered. Arms automatically around her waist because of course, they did.
"Seraphyne—"
"Mmhmm." She kissed him.
Lux stepped out of the elevator.
Stopped.
Looked at them.
Deadpan.
He had seen this a thousand times.
Two ancient demons in blind, aggressive love.
Zero shame.
And he was their son.
"This is the vault elevator," Lux said flatly. "Can you guys maybe... not."
They ignored him.
Naturally.
Seraphyne kissed Zavros again like she was checking if he was still alive. Zavros melted instantly.
’Whatever.’
Lux turned and walked out.
Nope.
He went straight to the desk, sat down, and flicked his hand.
Hologram screen up.
Greed System dashboard. Asset log. Risk updates.
"Log entry," Lux muttered. "Ring bound. Stable. Overpowered. Approved."
Golden text scrolled.
"Twin daggers fused. Extremely illegal. Also approved."
"Hybrid elixir stored. Do not auto-flag."
The system hesitated.
[Are you sure?]
"Yes."
[Fine. You’re the boss.]
Behind him the couch creaked.
Lux did not turn around.
He didn’t need to.
He could feel the romantic gravitational field behind him.
Seraphyne’s voice floated over, softer now but still dramatic.
"I heard the King called you. And Lux. Father told me."
Of course, Asmo told her.
Zavros answered more calmly now. "Yes. The King tested us."
Lux typed slower.
He didn’t want to listen.
But he did.
Zavros summarized it. The pressure. The spear. The silent threat. No exaggeration. Just facts.
When he finished, there was quiet.
Lux closed the hologram with a swipe and stood.
"Documentation done. I’m heading to—"
"So Lux is in danger?"
That tone.
Mother tone.
Lux froze internally.
Zavros nodded once.
"Yes."
Great.
Seraphyne stood up from the couch and walked toward him.
Still in that robe.
Still unfairly radiant.
Lux kept his face neutral.
"I’m fine," he said automatically.
She stopped right in front of him.
"That’s not the point."
Lux blinked.
"Then?"
"You almost died."
Technically true.
"Yes."
"And your reaction was to break into the forbidden vault."
"Preparation is responsible."
Zavros coughed. "He is not wrong."
She shot him a look.
"You are not helping."
Then she turned back to Lux.
Lux shifted slightly. "I calculated survival rates."
She flicked his forehead. "Stop turning trauma into spreadsheets."
He stared at her.
"I did not—"
The Eye pulsed faintly in his chest.
Lie detected.
Lux grimaced. He could ignore it but he decided to tell the truth.
"...Okay maybe slightly."
Zavros snorted.
Lux glared at him.
"Don’t."
Seraphyne crossed her arms.
"You are allowed to be scared."
Lux went very still.
He didn’t like that word.
"I am not scared."
The Eye pulsed again.
Lux shut his eyes briefly.
"...I am strategically concerned."
Seraphyne rolled her eyes.
"You are my son."
"And?"
"And you do not get to treat your life like a negotiable clause."
Lux opened his mouth.
Closed it.
Opened it again.
"This is Hell."
"Yes."
"Everything is negotiable."
She stepped closer.
"You are not."
That hit harder than the spear.
Lux shifted his weight.
He could feel her fear under the teasing. Feel Zavros’s guilt hovering nearby.
It was loud now.
The Eye made it louder.
He didn’t like it.
Seraphyne suddenly pulled him into a hug.
Lux froze.
Completely.
Arms at his sides.
[Processing error.]
He looked over her shoulder at Zavros.
Zavros smirked faintly.
Traitor.
She squeezed him tighter.
"I do not care how strong you are."
"I am strong enough to survive all."
"I know."
She sighed against his shoulder.
"You are still ours."
He stopped joking.
Just for a second.
He didn’t hug back immediately.
Then slowly... he did.
Just a little.
Barely noticeable.
Zavros saw it.
Said nothing.
Lux pulled away first.
Regained posture.
Adjusted his tie.
"I am not planning to die."
Seraphyne softened.
"Good."
She didn’t move away.
That was new.
Usually she would tease him. Flick his ear. Say something inappropriate. Go back to kissing Zavros.
Not this time.
She looked at him like she was trying to memorize his face.
Lux shifted slightly. "Mother."
"Don’t do that voice."
"What voice?"
"The corporate one."
He blinked.
She stepped closer again, not hugging this time. Just... standing there. Night robe slightly slipping off one shoulder. Completely unaware. Or pretending to be.
"I was terrified."
Lux’s instinct was automatic.
"You hugged Dad first."
The words came out flat. Defensive. Old habit.
There it was. The little complaint he never admitted was there.
"You only thought of him first. Me? After."
Silence.
Seraphyne didn’t get offended.
Didn’t roll her eyes.
She just looked at him.
"That’s not true."
Lux shrugged. "Statistically—"
"Lux."
The Eye pulsed in his chest.
Intent analysis.
No manipulation.
No performance.
No exaggeration.
Just fear.
Seraphyne inhaled slowly.
"I hugged him because if I didn’t, I would have collapsed."
Lux frowned faintly.
She continued.
"I needed to make sure he was alive so I could face you."
That... wasn’t what he expected.
"You think I don’t think of you?" she asked softly.
Lux opened his mouth.
Closed it.
The Eye pulsed again.
Truth.
She stepped closer, voice steady now.
"I spent years being irresponsible."
That surprised him more than anything else.
"I’m Lust. I’m beautiful. I enjoyed life. Parties. Influence. Attention."
She gave a faint, bitter smile.
"I thought that was enough."
Lux’s jaw tightened.
"I wasn’t there enough when you were young."
He inhaled slowly.
"That’s not—"
"It is."
The Eye flared gently. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
Truth.
Yeah, shit.
This was too much information for him.
She lifted her chin.
"I thought you didn’t need me. You were so calm. So composed. So frighteningly capable."
