Overall it took only one hour of drive for him to learn enough to drive a car by himself on empty roads. In fact he was confident to drive it on some crowded streets.

"That was far faster than I had expected..." Emily was really surprised.

"Me too Aunt. Now let’s see what a sports car can do..."

Lukas was eager to drive his Porsche. He came out of the sedan and went towards the garage.

"You better drive it safely." Emily didn’t want him to get carried away and get into an unwanted accident.

The space here is abundant to drive but not good enough as an open track.

"Don’t worry Aunt, I know how important it is for me to stay healthy right now."

All of their lives depend on him one way or another. They are all still very weak without any skills to help them fight dead walkers since none of them have learned to fight with hands.

The only advantage they have is that even if they fight a dead walker and get scratched by it then they won’t get infected. So even if he thinks that they can’t fight bare handed, they still can fight with weapons.

Today he should see how they fare against these dead walkers.

He entered inside the garage and laid his eyes on the car he had always been waiting to drive.

He opened the doors and slid into the driver seat before starting it. It was parked with its front facing outside so he pressed the accelerator and took it out... and damn it really was powerful even when he hadn’t activated the sports mode.

He drove around slowly before increasing the speed a little. Only after five rounds of the villa, he stopped and looked at the steering wheel with a satisfied expression... ’No wonder people love driving a sports car.’

He came out and left the car in the open since he would be using it again shortly.

"I want to learn to drive too..." Grace who was standing in the balcony with Hannah and Elena spoke while looking at Emily.

Before Emily could reply, Lukas spoke. "First you two come down. It is time for you to show me what you can do against a dead walker."

Although he wouldn’t want them to face dead walkers right now, he still wanted to see how they fare against dead walkers.

Grace didn’t become disappointed. Instead she became quite excited. She had been waiting to fight one for a long time. "Alright..."

After a few minutes later, Lukas was walking on the street with Hannah and Grace by his side while Emily and Elena were just a step behind.

He had already cleared dead walkers near his home and those which were in the way of the convenience store but there were still a lot of them in the areas where he never visited.

Not only he wanted to see their battle skills, he wanted them to level up one more. He also wanted to test a theory of drops.

He had a feeling that drops aren’t purely random. He had seen those evolvers in the early phase getting skills of their affinity quite easily. So there is a chance that it depends on who kills the dead walkers.

He was sure that his Elemental Affinities aren’t purely his, so him killing dead walkers gives totally random rewards... ’Let’s see how it goes. Maybe it will take time but chances of getting a skill of their element are definitely higher than before...’

He took them to an area where he never explored.

"The silence is deafening." Elena was quite scared right now even when she felt safe along with Lukas and the others. "Walking on the streets after so long feels quite nostalgic."

"I was shut in. I hardly came out to walk before..." Emily chimed in.

Hannah kept looking at empty houses and shook her head in sadness. "What a calamity. I always wished for a silent and peaceful world but not this kind..."

Lukas couldn’t agree more with her but he somehow didn’t dislike this world other than missing his old man. His father might be a busy man but he still take some time to bond with him.

"There it is." Grace was searching for the dead walkers actively so she saw one standing beside a tree near an empty plot.

They all looked and Lukas nodded. "This one is a good target. Alright who is going first?"

"Me." Grace wanted to go first and the others didn’t mind it.

"Here wear these..." Lukas took out arm guards and an armor. Even though it was just a single dead walker and he would be able to save her if things went wrong, he still wanted her to be as protected as possible.

"Arm guards are more than enough—"

"Nope wear everything..." Lukas shook his head immediately when he heard her and the others nodded too.

"Fine~"

In the end Grace was covered in arm guards and a sleek lusterless armor.

"Which weapon do you want..."

Lukas told her about all the weapons she could choose and Grace wanted to take a knife as she liked assassins but Lukas handed her a short sword as it gives more room to attack.

Grace swung the short sword a few times and nodded in satisfaction. "It’s not bad..."

After everything was ready she moved toward the zombie with slow and steady steps. She was quite excited yet a little afraid too.

"Be careful... don’t let your excitement get to your head." Hannah spoke slowly as she understood her well.

"Aiye~ Aiye." Grace nodded and since she was already somewhat closer to the zombie, it heard her voice and turned toward her.

"SCREEEE!"

Grace stopped in her tracks and became focused completely. The zombie acted mindless and began sprinting toward her with haggard steps.
