Harem God- Dimensional Motel System-Chapter 52: Interactions With The Night Part 11
Chapter 52: Interactions With The Night Part 11
Luck leaned against the railing, studying the group below. With most of his face hidden behind a balaclava and goggles, he came off more intimidating which was what he wanted.
For a few minutes, silence hung awkwardly between the two groups. Then the blonde-haired kid at the front—likely their leader—stepped forward.
"Good morning, Sir."
"State your business," Luck’s voice carried an edge of authority.
The blonde boy bowed—an actual bow, stiff and formal.
"We seek shelter. We heard this place was safe." He straightened, squinting up at the sky as if expecting a sniper round at any moment.
"We’ll work. Clean. Guard the gate. Whatever needs doing."
Luck didn’t answer right away. He studied them first. They looked young—and unlike the last group, none of them had that wild, unhinged look in their eyes.
Especially the girls, who couldn’t even hold his gaze. All of them looked scared. If his guess was right, these kids were couples—or at least close to it.
He chewed the inside of his cheek, then called down: "You got food? Water?"
"We have some. Mostly ramen, a bit of rice, maybe three liters of water left. We lost most of our supplies last night after our base got compromised."
"So you’re just dead weight, then?"
His words made them face the harsh truth. Most of the food was already taken by bigger groups, so finding supplies would be tough.
They could join a larger camp, but they were scared of what might happen to the girls. In places like this, women were often treated like objects. It wasn’t rare for girls to be taken advantage of.
That’s why most people with family or close friends avoided joining big camps. They didn’t trust what went on inside.
If their small base hadn’t been compromised, they wouldn’t have come anywhere near Luck to ask for help.
One of the girls—shorter than the rest, with hair dyed a stubborn shade of bright pink that still showed through the dust—spoke up.
"Mister, I heard from your people that you were in the military. Special forces, right? Is that true?"
"Yes. Alpha Helix. Why does that matter to you?"
She swallowed hard before answering.
"My big brother’s in the special forces too. I’m not sure if it’s the same unit."
"What’s his name?"
She hesitated for a second, then said, "Daniel Kim."
"Tall guy? Scar on his left cheek? Used to carry a folding knife even when off-duty?"
Her eyes widened. "Yes! That’s him!"
"Bullshit. I just made that up," Luck said flatly. "You know, miss—lying’s a bad habit. That’s a minus point in heaven."
Her face went pale. The others turned toward her, some with surprise, others with disappointment.
"I—I just thought maybe it’d help..." she mumbled, eyes dropping to the ground. Her fingers twisted the hem of her shirt as her voice grew smaller. "I didn’t mean anything bad by it..."
"Miss, if you’re gonna lie, at least commit to it," Luck said calmly. "Giving up too fast—that’s where you messed up."
Another girl stepped forward, her glossy black hair tied into a high ponytail that caught the light as it swayed behind her.
"We’ll earn our keep if that’s what you want, mister. Just... please don’t send us back out there."
Her dark eyes were intense and captivating, drawing attention with their depth. She was probably the prettiest in the group—and if he was being honest, she could’ve passed for a K-pop idol, especially with how small and delicate her body was.
She had the kind of look some men would twist into fantasies—small, quiet, pretty enough to picture in ways they shouldn’t.
Luck had already decided to take them in. He was only putting on a show to assert control first.
He let the pause drag out, feeding on the need that shivered through the group.
"I don’t take just anyone. If you want in, you’ll have to pass a test—so I know you’re actually useful."
The blond-haired man spoke up, "What kind of test?"
"Easy. All three of you , come at me. I’ll judge your skills based on that."
This was another tactic—establishing himself as the alpha. It was something animals did in a pack, and he was using it now to show who was in charge.
The young leader gave a short nod. "Alright. We’ll do it."
The other two stepped forward with him. They didn’t look scared—just focused.
There was a confidence in the way they moved, especially the two on either side of him. freewēbnoveℓ.com
One of them rolled his shoulders, the other cracked his knuckles. These weren’t just kids pretending to be tough. All of them had real training—he could see it in their stances. Solid footing, controlled breathing. They didn’t waste energy.
There was a reason this group had survived this long.
"Not bad," Luck muttered. "Let’s see what you’ve got."
Without wasting a second, he jumped down from the wall, landing with a solid thud. Then he dropped his sword and other weapons to the ground.
The trio followed his lead, dropping down and setting their weapons aside. The girls quickly stepped back, giving them space.
Before anything started, the three stepped forward one by one.
"Geo."
"Peter."
"Jun Lee ."
They didn’t say more than their names, but their tone made it clear—they were ready.
Geo had striking blonde hair. His long hair, tied tight at the top and trailing down his back, gave him the air of a delinquent.
Next to him, Peter looked like his moon-shadow.
Same height, similar build—but Peter was a full contrast. His hair was cropped short and black, his skin a few shades darker.
But it was the third, Jun Lee, that drew his attention.
Unlike the others, the boy stood straight, almost like someone with military training. When he adjusted his sleeve, Luck noticed his hands—covered in old scars.
That kind of hand didn’t come from backyard street fights or some dojo for bored rich kids. That was knife work, or something darker.
"Codename, Luck." He didn’t bother with a stance. Just stepped toward them casually.
Geo was the first to move. He danced forward with the twitchy, ground-eating steps of someone who knew how to close distance, then snapped into a roundhouse kick with a crisp snap of his hips.
The power behind it was real.
Luck felt the air shift near his nose—but he tilted his head just in time, dodging the strike with ease.
"Nice,"
Geo sent another kick, then a third, the sequence growing less stylized and more desperate with each miss.
Luck sidestepped the fourth, watching Geo’s frustration bloom. He’d seen this before.
The moment when an opponent realized their sparring partner wasn’t there to match rhythm, but to break it.
Geo was getting frustrated. He knew he was up against someone from special forces, but part of him still believed he could land at least one hit.
After all, he won multiple regional karate tournaments. That had to count for something.
Unfortunately, he was up against Luck—someone whose martial skills had already gone beyond normal limits. His reflexes alone were sharp as a cat’s.
"You ever play fighting game?" Luck asked as Geo reset, sweat darkening the roots of his blond hair. "You’re doing a combo. But you gotta mix up the timing, or—"
