Chapter 112: Storm brewing

3° person POV

Amelia finished her warm-up and noticed that Yasmin had already left. Looking around, she saw her entering the locker room with Sophia, but she quickly ignored that when she noticed Liam waving at her.

Immediately, the lovestruck girl ran toward her beloved. As she approached, she couldn’t help but jump into Liam’s arms, kissing him passionately, showing just how deeply in love they were.

In fact, the kiss was so passionate that Charlotte blushed slightly, and the several girls around them watched with complicated smiles.

"My, my... young people these days are really passionate," Charlotte commented in a tone only a sensual milf like her could pull off.

"Indeed, they are passionate, but this simple public kiss is nothing compared to the passion I’ve witnessed."

It was then that Lilith, someone who had never experienced anything close to shame in her life, suddenly appeared with a perverted expression.

With a big smile, she began telling a partially fabricated story. The girl, who was expressive and always gestured exaggeratedly, quickly captured the attention of everyone nearby.

She went on to describe how, when she and her boyfriend went camping with Amelia and Liam, the night was filled with strange sounds.

Finally, going into far more detail than necessary, she mentioned how she continued to hear loud moans long after her boyfriend had finished and fallen asleep.

"And that was the night I decided to go back to being single, until I could find a truly vigorous boyfriend," Lilith concluded her show with one last lie.

The story made several girls look at Amelia with envy. And, of course, for a few moments, everyone felt embarrassed.

Well, everyone except one girl who was so in love that she wasn’t paying attention to anything around her, her eyes fixed solely on her boyfriend.

"Hey! Hey! How do you think I look in my game uniform?" Amelia asked excitedly, twirling around so Liam could see.

Then, she intentionally struck a sensual pose, accentuating her butt and thighs as much as possible.

She looked both sexy and cute in those clothes. And, as embarrassed as he was, Liam couldn’t help but let out an enchanted smile as his eyes were glued to the beauty in front of him. He then commented with a charming smile:

"You really are beautiful... I can’t help but be amazed every time I see you. Your beauty always seems impossible." He stepped closer and added a few more flattering words before pulling her in for another kiss.

The other women on the team who were nearby, as well as some in the audience who had approached because of Lilith, were all enchanted. There wasn’t a single one who didn’t think they also wanted a man like that.

"Thank you," Amelia simply replied shyly after receiving another kiss.

"You really have a way with words, my..." Charlotte commented with a satisfied smile. She liked seeing Liam succeed.

The boy responded with a smile and briefly chatted with the woman, complimenting her with a slight flirtatious tone that made her blush once again.

Watching this, Eric grew extremely irritated. Even though he was standing right between Liam and his mother, and even though Lilith was right in front of him, no one seemed to notice him.

In other words, the blond, as usual, was at the center of attention. But this time, it was just a coincidence, as no one seemed to notice his presence.

His envy of Liam began to grow. But he quickly shook his head, trying to push that feeling away. He had never been a jealous person. He was the one who should be envied, never the other way around.

Besides, his goal was Helena. Nothing else mattered at that moment. So he turned to the girl he had been trying so hard to seduce that day.

Or rather, he turned to where she had been standing just moments ago. But Helena had left her spot, only to get closer to Liam.

And she was talking to him in a way that seemed very affectionate. But that couldn’t be possible. He was the boyfriend of her best friend. She wouldn’t flirt with him.

Eric convinced himself, mistakenly, that he was seeing things.

But Sophia, who had just returned from the locker room, didn’t make the same mistake. There were very few people in the world who could read others as well as she could.

It only took a few moments of watching the two talking, and she was absolutely certain that they were very close.

Not only that, but the same Helena, who always did things in a controlled manner, seemed to become just a lovestruck lady when she was next to Liam.

Does she really love him? Why? Did she let herself be carried away by something as trivial as love? She thought.

Sophia, who had some admiration for Helena, felt somewhat disappointed. But it wasn’t surprising, most humans ended up succumbing to the poison of love during their lives.

What she truly couldn’t understand was Amelia’s reaction to all of this.

If the girl simply hadn’t noticed the flirting between the two, that would be believable. Many people were dumb. If she noticed but chose to ignore it, believing she should trust them, that would also be normal.

However, what she saw before her was neither of those cases. Amelia clearly noticed when Helena was flirting. It was possible to see, in her eyes, a slight perversion and mischief.

In fact, at times, it even seemed like the two were flirting together with Liam provoking him together.

No, I’m being foolish. It’s not just that it seems like they’re flirting together. I’m sure they are. It might be absurd, but I can’t let my preconceptions cloud my judgment, Sophia thought.

The woman, who was one of the best in the world at reading people, could see that Amelia wasn’t irritated, bothered, or indifferent to the closeness and intimacy between her boyfriend and Helena. More than that, she was happy about it.

But why?

Sophia, for the rest of the game, would think about this and only come to one conclusion...

OOO

The gymnasium was in pure chaos. The crowds from both teams shouted tirelessly, fueling the tension that hung in the air. Yasmin’s team, despite leading the match with two sets to one, was trailing by two points in the fourth set, and their opponents had match point in hand.

Everyone believed the set would end with a powerful spike from the rival team’s ace. There was simply no way to reach that ball.

At least, that’s what most people thought. But Amelia refused to give up.

Suddenly, running like an unstoppable beast and stretching to her absolute limit, she somehow managed to reach the ball. In a near-miraculous dive, she saved the point with a precise touch, lifting the ball high into the air before crashing onto the floor.

Sophia, the only one who believed Amelia could make the save, reacted instantly. She crouched into an almost impossible position just to touch the ball with her fingertips, setting it up perfectly for Yasmin.

Yasmin, with all her strength and technique, leaped for the attack. The impact of her spike was devastating, sending the ball straight into the opponent’s court.

No one dared to move. The cannonball-like shot hit the floor with a forceful thud, echoing like thunder throughout the gym as everyone tried to process what had just happened.

"Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go...!" Yasmin’s team’s supporters began chanting even louder, fueled by that nearly impossible point.

Now at the serve, Alice took a deep breath. She had barely had a chance to shine in this game, but she was a great player and couldn’t afford to fail.

With a murderous glare, she stared at the other side of the court. At that moment, they were her enemies. Channeling all the pent-up rage she had been holding in for days, she tossed the ball into the air and unleashed a serve so powerful that no one moved.

Another point was secured. And a sharp pain spread through her hand, once again, she had overdone it.

The score was now tied, and the pressure was immense. Alice served again, but this time, she couldn’t put the same absurd force behind it.

The opponents quickly returned the ball to Yasmin’s team. Alice received it as best as she could, diving impressively, though not as spectacularly as Amelia had earlier.

Then, Sophia set the ball, and to Alice’s frustration, Amélia was the one to go for the spike.

Jumping with unmatched power and height, Amelia, who still needed to refine her technique, struck the ball with all her strength.

The ball shot through the air like lightning, giving the opponents no chance to react. But it bounced right on the line, leaving the entire gymnasium in stunned silence.

Was it in or out?

Infuriating the rival crowd, the referee made his final call: Yasmin’s team had won.

A wave of furious curses directed at the referee erupted throughout the gym. A group of drunk fans near where Liam was sitting started arguing and shoving each other.

Seeing an opportunity to show off, Eric immediately jumped in, shouting insults back at the men.

And so, in a game that was supposed to be just for fun, a stupid brawl seemed ready to break out.
