Chapter 65: Chapter 65: Beauty Salon Branch

A branch store?

Radiance Beauty Spa has only been open for just over a year, and June Ewing is already thinking about opening a branch?

Well, it’s not surprising. Radiance Beauty Spa in this past year, without even mentioning getting back the initial investment in just a few months, has made pure profits in the tens of millions.

It’s such a lucrative business that it’s normal for June Ewing to want to expand.

People are inherently greedy. Once they’ve tasted success, they naturally won’t just stop there.

After all, the basement floor at Radiance Beauty Spa is limited in size, and many things can’t be fully spread out.

Sienna Monroe curled her lips slightly.

June Ewing is truly relentless in trying to pull her into this venture.

She even wants Sienna to invest in the new branch store.

She glanced at the time; it was just past ten o’clock.

After thinking for a moment, she packed two boxes of sweets and small cakes that Auntie Miller had made in the kitchen and said to the driver, "Let’s head to Radiance Beauty Spa first."

The driver nodded and drove out of the villa.

It snowed all night last night. Gazing out the car window, everything was blanketed in white, and there were quite a few sanitation workers clearing the snow on the road.

Due to the snow, the main roads hadn’t been cleared yet, so the driver took a different route.

By the time they arrived at Radiance Beauty Spa, it was 10:43.

Sienna greeted the staff member at the entrance but didn’t see Cecilia York in the lobby, so she didn’t linger in conversation with the staff and went directly to the sixth floor.

In the office, Cecilia York had just asked June Ewing what the next plan was.

June Ewing gave her a sharp look. "You’ve been learning downstairs for over a month, and what have you learned? Do you still need to ask me this?"

Cecilia York hugged June Ewing’s arm and leaned on her shoulder playfully. "Harrison Hayes didn’t ask for my contact details as I expected last night, and his attitude was cold. I’m not sure what to make of it."

June Ewing lightly tapped her forehead, and despite her exasperated tone, there was a hint of indulgence, "For someone like Harrison Hayes, a woman, especially a beautiful woman, is the least of his concerns."

"Just like his ex-girlfriend Esther Sherwood, although she’s an internet celebrity, she’s truly a beauty. You look good, but making him fall for you at first sight isn’t an easy task. Moreover, he just got out last month, so he probably isn’t focused on this right now."

"Then..."

"I told you before, you can’t rush this. You just need to gradually leave an impression on his heart, but are you getting too anxious now? Originally, the best gap between the second and first meeting should be over seven or eight days. You just had to choose yesterday. Such coincidences can’t happen too often. With his status, hasn’t he seen these methods before?"

Cecilia York pursed her lips and remained silent.

She indeed was anxious, eager for success, wanting to lead an affluent life without suffering through work.

June Ewing said, "You also can’t be the one to make the first move. Surely, I don’t need to teach you about playing hard to get?"

Cecilia York was silent for a moment. "I understand, Auntie. I’ll avoid appearing in front of him for now."

June Ewing nodded, "Yes, calm down. These things can’t be rushed. Harrison Hayes likes racing; Apex Racing Club is what he started the year before and won several international racing awards. You might try to understand his interests from this angle."

"Alright."

June Ewing smiled, "First, you need to have confidence in yourself. Second, you need to discover what would really attract Harrison Hayes to you, and amplify that strength..."

Before she could finish, there was a sudden knock at the office door.

"I’ll get the door."

Cecilia York walked over and opened the door, surprised by the familiar yet stunning face she saw.

Sienna Monroe was already mentally prepared, but she still showed an appropriate amount of surprise. "Cecilia?"

There was a flicker of panic and guilt in Cecilia York’s eyes.

This time she came to the Imperial City mainly to seek wealth and power, hoping to marry into a wealthy family like her aunt, so she didn’t intend to alarm anyone. She just wanted to learn well at Radiance Beauty Spa.

Perhaps because of her impure motives, upon seeing Sienna, she felt a bit uneasy.

In a soft and gentle voice, she called, "Sister-in-law."

"Sienna?" June Ewing’s eyes dimmed when she saw her and hurriedly walked over to take her hand, "What brings you here? The roads are all snowy; how dangerous it is for you to come?"

"It’s fine, Mom, the driver brought me here," Sienna smiled lightly. "Auntie Miller has been experimenting with several new snacks these days. I thought they were good, so I brought some for you to try."

"You’re such a child, and you’re still pregnant," June Ewing took the delicately packed basket from her, "You should keep them for yourself, or have someone bring them over, no need for you to come in person. Come in and sit down."

Sienna went inside and sat down. "When did Cecilia arrive? Why didn’t you mention it?"

Cecilia York, sitting next to her, moved her lips slightly but hadn’t spoken yet when June Ewing quickly took over, "It’s only been a few days. Just right, Cecilia, now that your sister-in-law is here, you can ask her."

"What for?"

June Ewing sighed, "This girl, after graduating, wasn’t she interning at a publishing house? Last month, during the assessment for permanent placement, her boss gave the spot to someone who sent gifts. You know her personality; she’s soft and easygoing, so she kept silent about this unfairness."

"Your Aunt meant to find a suitable company for Cecilia in the Imperial City. We were planning to ask you these days if the art gallery was hiring. Didn’t expect you to show up first."

This reason...

It truly left no room for her to find any fault.

As an aunt, helping her niece find a job was perfectly reasonable.

Sienna had no intention of nitpicking and followed along with her words, "Wasn’t it agreed last year? After Cecilia graduates, she’ll come to Serena Art Museum. It’s my fault for not remembering. If I had, I would have informed Cecilia earlier."

"How can I blame you?" June Ewing showed a pained expression. "Back then, you had only taken charge of the art gallery for half a year and still had a lot to learn. That’s why I didn’t bring it up to you."

After her mother passed away in a car accident last year, the burden of managing Serena Art Museum fell on her shoulders.

Although she studied art, she knew nothing about management, and it was Director Dawson and Nora Joyce who helped her step by step.

Sienna didn’t want to recall these sad times and suppressed the emotions in her heart. Smiling, she looked at Cecilia York.

"Tomorrow is Friday. How about this, Cecilia? Can you find some time tomorrow to drop by Serena Art Museum to complete the onboarding process? You can start work next Monday, how does that sound?"

Cecilia York was momentarily choked, a flicker of reluctance passing through her eyes.

Regarding the internship matter at her previous company, June Ewing didn’t lie; it was the truth.

But because of that bad experience, having suffered too much grievance, she hadn’t intended to work upon arriving in the Imperial City.

However, now that her aunt had spoken, she couldn’t deny it. She only gently nodded, a smile spreading across her face, "Okay. Thank you, sister-in-law. I’ll be imposing on you then."

"We’re family; there’s no need to talk about inconvenience."

June Ewing also chimed in with a smile, "Your sister-in-law is right. In a family, we don’t say those kinds of empty words. Just work hard and learn well at the art gallery."

Cecilia York nodded slightly, "Hmm, I understand."

Having discussed this matter, June Ewing tasted the sweets and cakes Sienna had brought and lavishly praised Auntie Miller’s skills.

Sienna merely echoed her with a few words, quietly waiting for June Ewing to bring up the branch store.

Sure enough, it wasn’t long before June Ewing finally said, "Sienna, I’m planning to open a branch store up in Northgate. I intended to talk to you about it once everything was settled, but I didn’t expect you to come today."
