Chapter 130: Chapter 130: His Graham Wynn Housewarming Gift

Around five thirty in the evening, twilight descended, and the afterglow of the sky was completely severed from the dark blue.

Sienna Monroe was wearing an apron, preparing the ingredients for tonight’s meal in the kitchen.

Just as she finished washing the vegetables, the doorbell suddenly rang from outside.

Sienna grabbed a paper towel to dry her hands, wondering who could be outside. As she walked to the door, she saw the man on the video feed from the wall.

Sebastian Prescott?

She froze for a moment, feeling a strange sensation in her heart.

The doorbell rang again.

She came to her senses and quickly reached out to open the door.

Only to unexpectedly fall into his deep, cold gaze.

Sebastian’s gaze lingered on her face for a few seconds.

In two days, the condition of her face seemed to have improved somewhat.

He gently shifted his gaze, glancing at her apron, his voice clear and crisp with a rising tone, "Cooking?"

"Yes."

Sienna smiled awkwardly and then noticed he was holding two potted plants, "You keep flowers?"

Sebastian looked natural as he raised the potted plants in his hand, "I don’t keep them. These are housewarming gifts for you."

"What?"

For a moment, Sienna felt as if she’d misheard.

Her eyes filled with surprise, "Housewarming?"

This house was indeed new to her, but it hadn’t formally become hers yet; she was only temporarily staying here.

She didn’t expect to suddenly receive a housewarming gift from Sebastian.

"Yes."

Sebastian uttered a single syllable without much elaboration.

Sienna opened her mouth, meeting his gaze again as she reached to take the potted plants.

The two pots were of the same species, with trumpet or oval-shaped petals, white with a hint of pink, and bore a light, elegant fragrance.

"What kind of flower is this?"

"Jane Dunn."

Today, the affairs at the law firm weren’t many, and it ended early. On the way back, he saw a flower shop with many of these potted plants outside.

At a glance, he found them pretty, thinking since Sienna lived at The Left Bank Courtyard, should he bring some housewarming gift over?

Something too extravagant wouldn’t be suitable, and Sienna wouldn’t accept it. This potted plant seemed just right.

It was a challenge for someone like him, who had never given housewarming gifts or presents to girls, to hesitate in the car for half a day.

Sienna didn’t notice the emotions flashing through his gaze.

She wasn’t very knowledgeable about plants, but since he brought them, it was just a potted plant, there was no reason to refuse, and she smiled and thanked him.

Then she remembered to ask, "How do you take care of these flowers? Do you need to water them or add nutrients daily?"

How to take care of them?

This question stumped Sebastian.

He forgot to ask the shop owner when he bought them.

He pursed his lips, pondering for a moment, "I will ask for you tomorrow."

"Um... alright."

Sienna nodded and to prevent the awkwardness from spreading, she politely invited him, "Come in and sit for a bit. I’m cooking now, if you don’t mind..."

He brought gifts, she couldn’t just accept them and then drive him away.

Sebastian didn’t refuse, nodding slightly, "Alright."

Sienna stepped aside to let him in, "No need to change shoes... there aren’t extra ones, just come in as you are."

The 15th and 11th floors may differ in height, but the layout is the same.

In terms of decoration, Sebastian’s house is styled with cold tones of black, white, and gray, whereas Sienna’s is much more cozy.

Sebastian didn’t scrutinize too much. After taking a seat in the living room, Sienna poured him a glass of water and asked him to sit for a while as she went to the kitchen.

There were ingredients, but her cooking skills were not the best.

Having been with Caleb Sinclair for so many years, she never really had the chance to cook.

Simple dishes weren’t too difficult for her; not great tasting, but at least edible for herself.

After more than forty minutes, she produced a simple three-dish and one-soup meal.

As she placed it on the table, she glanced at the man in the living room engrossed in his phone, cleared her throat, and called out, "Leo Prescott, come eat."

Sebastian heard her, immediately putting his phone away and walked over. As he looked at the dishes, he subtly raised an eyebrow. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

"Where to wash hands?"

"Kitchen and restroom are both fine."

Sebastian nodded, headed into the kitchen, which seemed tidied and clean, with spices and jars neatly arranged.

He washed his hands and came out, pulling out a chair to sit.

Sienna decided to forewarn him, "My cooking isn’t great, sorry for any inconvenience, Leo Prescott."

"It’s fine."

Sebastian wasn’t a picky eater, apart from the few things he was allergic to, he could eat almost anything.

He picked up his chopsticks, tasting a bite of the dish under Sienna’s tense yet slightly hopeful gaze.

How could he describe it?

No strange taste.

Well... acceptable.

He didn’t pause, continuing to eat another bite.

Sienna saw his expression unchanged and cautiously tried the dishes herself.

Not bad, not bad.

Not terrible.

Not embarrassing.

After dinner, Sienna returned to the kitchen to wash some bowls. When she emerged again, she carried a plate of washed fruits, placing it on the living room coffee table.

"Today’s hosting wasn’t great, apologies."

Sebastian heard, lifting his gaze from his phone screen, "No problem."

Just as the air was about to stiffen, he timely brought up the main issue, "Captain Chaney just messaged me, Caleb Sinclair’s lawyer has filed evidence proving he was unaware of Radiance Beauty Spa’s underground operations.

Likely in a few days, maybe the day after, Caleb Sinclair will be released."

He rubbed his fingers, deep, narrow gaze falling on her fair, delicate face, "He’s also trying to prove your innocence within the police.

My advice is... you could be released from the station tomorrow."

Sienna’s smile froze instantly.

The light in her eyes slightly dimmed.

So soon?

She had barely relaxed for two days, and now she’d have to return to acting.

Fine.

Better to get it over quickly.

She softly replied, "I understand, then... I’ll go back tomorrow morning. Going back, it may not be convenient to come out again; I’ll take a photo of that shop transfer contract and send it to you."

Sebastian gently nodded, "Ok. As of this afternoon, all employees associated with the underground operations have been apprehended.

In the next couple of days, the police will start checking those with transaction records."

Sienna paused.

Her fingertips resting on her legs turned slightly pale.

Imperial City, real chaos is coming.

If her identity as the one who reported is exposed, it would be disastrous.
