Gun of Ashes-Chapter 744 - 18 Troublemaker_3
The assassins didn't hesitate; they weren't going to spare any insiders, even if she was just a cleaner. But Erin's disguise had worked; they paid no heed to the soon-to-be deceased, pitiful person before them. Thus, as she raised her hand, the pitiful person drew a gun from her waist and opened fire.
The gunfire erupted, with a bullet quickly killing one assassin, piercing through his throat. As she fired, Erin also shifted her position, but it wasn't much use. The opponent was a professional assassin, and this was a narrow corridor. She managed an ambush to kill one assassin, yet couldn't avoid the bullet from another.
A bullet hit Erin's waist and abdomen, tore through her clothes, but what came out wasn't blood, it was stuffed cotton.
"The importance of maintaining your figure!"
Erin cheered and shot through the assassin's leg.
The pain threw him off balance, while Erin advanced swiftly, pressing down on his gun-wielding hand. Several shots hit the wall, then Erin forcefully struck his wound, the severe pain exposing a flaw that Erin seized by landing a heavy punch on his temple.
Even after he'd fainted, it wasn't over. Erin pushed open the corridor window, below were several large garbage bins in the shadows.
"Watch out!"
The assassin couldn't resist in time. His consciousness had just cleared a bit when Erin pushed him out of the window, a few seconds later a dull thud emanated from below.
Having accomplished all this, more footsteps echoed from the surroundings as reinforcements arrived. Erin didn't pause, she started running swiftly.
This was Erin's retaliation; realizing she couldn't escape from these people, she chose to fight back.
She'd planned this action for a long time. This strike not only disrupts the pursuers but temporarily conceals her whereabouts. If the female corpse performs well, she might just play dead in the enemy's view.
Of course, all this was overly optimistic. Erin knew the situation wouldn't develop that way, and she no longer wished to flee.
She descended along the staircase, and as she kicked open the door, a figure descended sharply with a screech.
It was Lorenzo.
Unlike Erin full of disguise, Lorenzo stood exposed, bloodstained. He didn't notice Erin in the shadows, but Erin saw his face clearly.
Erin hadn't expected this operation to go so smoothly. She felt it was all thanks to those disrupting figures; otherwise, in Erin's plan, she would face these assassins directly, and wasn't sure if she'd survive.
Even more surprising was the figure before her.
It seemed that he was the disruptor.
"Mr. Holmes..."
Erin's mind was sharp, watching the carriage carrying Lorenzo gradually depart. She had a faint guess about these disruptors' identities, a subtle smile appearing in the shadows.
Now wasn't the time to ponder these things; Erin moved swiftly. Amidst the chaos, she walked toward the large garbage bin piled in the corner, opened the lid, and inside lay an assassin with multiple fractures.
The continuous trauma had the assassin questioning life; he'd just escaped unbearable pain, only to immediately face Erin's visage.
Before he could do anything, Erin cruelly jabbed the gun barrel into his mouth, preventing his teeth from biting. It was as though she was familiar with these people. She forcibly knocked out the assassin's teeth, dislodging the poison used for suicide, then dragged him out of the bin like a dead dog.
"I suggest you spill everything you know, seeing as there's still time before setting sail. During this time, we have plenty of opportunity to understand each other."
Erin smiled, as simultaneously, a roaring explosion sounded, firelight illuminating the shadows and her fine features.
As the explosion occurred, a blazing fire erupted as if premeditated, erasing the traces of combat. The corner was filled with individuals fleeing the hotel, everyone in panic. In an unnoticed corner, the cleaner pushed a garbage-filled cart into the darkness.
