Guide Me If You Dare-Chapter 286: A CLONING DEVICE
A few moments ago...
"DUDE, you’re really going?"
"Of course, I am," Ki Gayoon said while getting up. "I need to save Baekho and Yu Minju. Plus, I need to know why Noh Yuno’s siblings want to meet me."
"Are you not going to tell Yuno?" 17 asked. "This concerns him, too."
"It’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission from your lover, you know?"
"Yuno will kill you."
"Well, it’s better than letting him put his life at risk again," Ki Gayoon said. "Take care of Noh Yuno in the meantime."
He really didn’t want to leave Noh Yuno’s side.
But he’d rather go alone and meet those ’siblings’ than bring his lover in another dangerous place.
Noh Yuno won’t be happy with my decision, but at least, he’ll be safe here.
"Fine," 17 said, shaking his head. "But don’t forget that I warned you, okay?"
"Yeah, whatever," Ki Gyaoon said, pulling the small piece of paper that came out of the pink turtle’s mouth as if it were a fax machine. The paper contained the address where the ’kidnappers’ wanted to meet him. "Noh Yuno better be safe until I return, 17."

"AND THAT’s what happened."
Yuno leaned against the door behind him after listening to 17’s slightly long summary of what happened while he was busy.
So, Baekho and Yu Minju were kidnapped.
And the kidnappers were his ’siblings.’
I suppose we can’t protect everyone when we’re barely surviving while dealing with the shit that the enemies have been throwing our way.
But why would his ’siblings’ agree to meet Ki Gayoon instead of Yuno?
That’s suspicious.
He already knew that the ’siblings’ he had met were no longer his real ’siblings.’
My real ’siblings’ have long been gone.
"Are you worried about Gayoon even though he’s a strong Esper?"
"Of course, I am. Just because he’s the strongest Esper doesn’t mean he’s immortal. I can still lose him at any moment, and that scares the shit out of me."
"Aww. You must really love him, huh?"
"Crazy, right? I fell for that personality."
17 laughed out loud as if he had just heard the funniest thing in his life.
And I’m not even trying to be funny...
"Yuno, do you want to follow Gayoon?"
"You know where Hyung has gone, sir?"
"I told you not to address me too formally~"
"17 Hyung-nim."
"Very well," 17 said, obviously satisfied that Yuno addressed him as ’hyung-nim’ instead of ’sir.’ "I happen to see the address written on the paper that he received from Yu Minju. Should we go?"
"Yes, but before that..." Yuno looked outside the window. From where he stood, he could see Haru standing in front of where Osaki Shohei was last seen alive. "I need to talk to Haru-nim first."

A JUNKYARD.
Ki Gayoon found himself in the middle of a junkyard.
I guess it’s more appropriate to say that this is a ’scrapyard’ since this place is full of wrecked cars.
It looked like an ordinary salvage/wrecking yard at first.
But the strong barriers around made it obvious that it was being used as a hideout by Awakened People.
Moreover, the barriers weren’t just meant to protect the place from trespassers.
It works as a cover because it makes the scrapyard almost invisible.
If Ki Gayoon didn’t receive the ’invitation,’ aka the paper that Yu Minju had sent him, he probably would have never found the place.
"Boss."
Oh.
Ki Gayoon was relieved to see Baekho come out from a small shelter hidden below a mountain of piled wrecked cars. "Are you hurt anywhere, Baekho?"
"I’m fine, Boss," Baekho reported politely. "And so is Yu Minju."
"That’s a relief," Ki Gayoon said, and then he pointed at the shelter. "Is she inside?"
"Yes, Boss."
"Then let’s go."
"The Madam’s ’siblings’ are also there, Boss," Baekho said worriedly. "Once we enter the shelter, we’ll be instantly transported to the basement below. They haven’t harmed us ever since they kidnapped us. But we can’t trust them either."
"It’s alright," Ki Gayoon said while walking towards the shelter. "I’m already here, so what are you getting scared for?"

"HARU-NIM, I need to talk to you before I leave," Yuno said carefully while approaching Haru. "I’m sorry for disturbing you when you are saying your goodbye to Osaki Shohei-ssi."
It was obvious why Haru was standing there, staring into the air blankly.
Even though Osaki Shohei betrayed Haru by joining the enemies, it wouldn’t change the fact that Osaki Shohei was still a Guide who dedicated his life to Haru.
It’s bittersweet, but that’s life.
"I’ve just finished ’sending off’ Osaki Shohei, so it’s fine," Haru said, and then he looked at Yuno. After that, he knitted his eyebrows. "Uh, what kind of position is that?"
Ah.
Haru must have been shocked to see Yuno being carried by 17 in his arms— bridal style.
Yep.
Bridal. Style.
"For the record, this isn’t my idea," 17 said, laughing. "If Gayoon goes after my throat, please help me explain, Haru. Tell him I’m innocent."
Haru just tilted his head to one side, obviously confused.
"We need physical contact to teleport, and I chose this position to make Gayoon Hyung mad," Yuno said bluntly. "That’s his punishment for leaving me behind while acting like a knight-in-shining-armor."

OH, so Baekho was spot-on with his warning earlier.
That was what entered Ki Gayoon’s mind when the two of them got transported to a basement after they set foot in the shelter.
"Welcome, Esper Ki Gayoon."
Oho?
Ki Gayoon wasn’t familiar with all of Noh Yuno’s siblings.
But the man in front of him seemed awfully familiar.
We’ve met before.
"I’m Erwan," the man said. "The oldest among Noh Yihun’s siblings."
Right.
Ki Gyaoon first glance at Yu Minju.
His subordinate was sitting on the couch with two young ladies whom he didn’t recognize.
Yu Minju is really safe.
Only then did Ki Gayoon focus on Erwan again. "So, why did you want to meet me?"
"I’m here to ask you to steal something for us."
"Do I look like a thief to you?"
"You’d want to steal the device I’m talking about, Ki Gayoon," Erwan said confidently. "It’s a cloning device that’s currently developing a Mana similar to Noh Yihun’s unique Mana."
Oh, now we’re talking.
It was something that Ki Gayoon couldn’t ignore.
Now I know why they agreed to meet me instead of Noh Yuno.
But...
"Explain," Ki Gayoon said. "Why are you telling me this when you’re supposed to be our enemies?"
