Chapter 2259: Miscalculations.

As long as Golden Hammer runs out of spiritual energy and his army remains intact, he will win. This is why he is still confident.

He was so confident that he said to Golden Hammer, "To be honest, I admire your power. You giants are too unreasonable."

"Unfortunately, you have been left alone. If only you still had your helpers. If you did, maybe you would stand a chance against me."

Golden Hammer smiled and asked him, "Who said that I am alone?"

Rack’s eyes widened when he heard what Golden Hammer said. Then he also sensed the appearance of many epic beings around the base.

But this didn’t make him feel fear. After all, he was prepared to fight eight rank 4 epic beings, not one.

So he cheered and said, "Great. This way I won’t be the only one to have fun in this fight."

The other leaders appeared because the guards around the gateway that the Iron Fist gang used to infiltrate the base had been killed and the Gateway itself had been successfully stolen.

This way, the Iron Fist gang wouldn’t be able to escape no matter what happens next.

The Heavy Hammer, who was the knight of the Golden Hammer gang, was sent by Legion to gather the members of the gang while the others were ordered to destroy the Iron Fist gang as fast as possible.

The thief was sent to assist Golden Hammer, while the traveler, assassin, rule breaker, and illusionist were sent to eliminate the army.

The Walker was in charge of the newly acquired gateway and the other gateways, and the Fate Weaver was in charge of the traps.

When all of these people appeared, the army of the Iron Fist gang prepared to do battle. Seven rank 3 knights among them gained Rack’s permission and borrowed some of the power of the army to use their rank 1 Unity divine ability to boost their power to rank 4.

This is another one of the abilities of Heart of the Army. This ability not only helps knights to gain a boost from an army made of various kinds of godclads, but it also makes it so that the source of the boost isn’t limited to knights and godclads anymore.

The second ability of this divine ability, which is what Rack is using now, is the ability to enhance the power of other knights in the army. So the boost of the army can be shared between many knights and not all directed to one knight like before.

This convenience comes at a great cost, though. The stress on the army increases now that they have to support more than one knight. This stress is expressed in the form of an increase in the expenditure of life energy in the army.

The boost from the army doesn’t come out of thin air. The army also has to give up something to support their knights. What they give up is stamina and vitality. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

So an army can be drained of their life energy if they are used as support for too long. In severe cases, the soldiers in the army will begin to die without any external injury. This will happen when they run out of life energy.

So what Rack is doing is putting a lot of pressure on the army. But in the meantime, he can gain ten epic beings to assist him in battle. This way, he won’t be outnumbered by the leaders of the Golden Hammer gang.

Rack himself was fighting Golden Hammer while seven rank 4 knights suddenly appeared in the army to deal with the other leaders that appeared.

Since only five other leaders of the gang have appeared, the Iron Fist gang has the upper hand in terms of numbers.

Even if the seven temporary rank 4 knights can’t defeat the five leaders of the Golden Hammer gang that just appeared, as long as they can hold on until Rack is finished with Golden Hammer, the rest of the leaders of the Golden Hammer gang will be finished.

Unfortunately, they have miscalculated severely. Their first miscalculation is that Golden Hammer will run out of spiritual energy soon and be defeated. Legion was supporting him with spiritual energy, so he won’t be defeated anytime soon.

The second miscalculation is that Rack can possibly defeat Golden Hammer. Rack realized this immediately four bloody tentacles came out of Golden Hammer’s back and began attacking him.

Rack’s face changed immediately. He was filled with horror as he asked, "You’re a killer too?"

It wasn’t only Golden Hammer who had the divine abilities of the pathway of killing. Every slave has at least two pathways, which means that it will be very difficult for a godclad at the same rank to defeat them.

What’s more, the slave can use whichever pathway is appropriate for the occasion. In the case, Golden Hammer used the divine abilities of the pathway of killing, while the thief who came to help him used the divine abilities of the pathway of the telepath.

Golden Hammer used rank 4 Blood Limbs together with Sever, Death, and Bleed. He didn’t use Stun with it because the thief is already using Mental Armament to attack Rack’s mind.

So Rack was doomed. There was no way he was going to survive two godclads who possess a combined total of four pathways. But this was just the second miscalculation.

The third miscalculation is that the other leaders of the Golden Hammer gang came out to fight. Their job is mostly to prevent the rest of the army from escaping once the fate weaver activates the traps.

The traps being activated in this situation are the arrays around the base. They have been set up before they attack to attack things within the base.

Not only that, the firepower of all the traps was concentrated on a certain place. That place happens to be where the army is standing currently.

The fate weaver had predicted the attack and even the positions of the enemy. So the traps were prepared to give them a surprise. Now the traps were let loose.
