Greatest Streamer System-Chapter 257 - – Course of The Day, Flexy’s Turn
Once Flexy crossed the start line, Max started the countdown.
The orange-haired streamer immediately entered the first out of 5 obstacles in the course of the day. The rule was simple, he just needed to clear all obstacles without falling to the mattresses.
Starting from the first obstacle was a simple rolling log. It was a log that spun around, and it was pretty slippery. Flexy moved pretty slowly and tried to balance his body so he wouldn't fall by doing a duck walk. It was safer, and he reached the other side easily.
"Phew. Hahaha, buddy! Did you see that? I am pretty fast." He smiled constantly as he proceeded to the second obstacle without looking at Max.
Seeing his friend, he could only smile wryly.
'That's fast?' Max thought, smirking.
From his perspective, that was pretty slow. There was a better way to cross the rolling log with speed. Something he was pretty familiar with because he had experienced it before in his past life.
'It reminds me of the warrior show I tried to join once. I will win this.' His grin widened as he watched Flexy start the second obstacle after preparing himself.
From the name written on the supporting beam, the next obstacle was called throttle pegs. Flexy took two pegs, which spun around with his hand, and stabbed them into the hole in the wall. There were similar holes that extended to the next obstacle preparation area.
"Ugh!" The orange-haired streamed groaned as he pulled one peg and inserted it in another hole.
He moved from the left to the right wall slowly. The peg kept spinning and made the obstacle harder.
"Come on!" He shouted to motivate himself. He was clearly struggling as his veins popped up on his temple.
After transferring the peg to the 10th and the last hole, Flexy had to swing and jump to the safe spot. He moved back and forth, gathering his momentum using the spinning rod, and jumped after he was sure of it.
"Ha!"
It didn't need to be mentioned that he landed safely on the green mattress, which was the safe area before the third obstacle. Flexy's physical ability was above average. He was pretty strong and agile.
"Did you see that?"
— Oooh! Flexy is pretty good!
— As I thought, this man isn't someone to be looked down upon IRL. He's so good!
— Among all streamers I know, Flexy probably ranked pretty high in IRL physical strength. He got many gym sponsors, after all
— Go, go Flexy! Beat Breeze and save the money I put into the mission!
— I trust you, Flexy! Show Breeze's fans your POWAAAARRR!
Reading the chat, where his viewers began to join the stream, he smirked at Max and positioned himself for the third and probably the easiest obstacle—log transfer.
Five logs were placed before each other at different heights. The first logs were 10 cm in diameter, but that quickly shrunk until it was only 5 cm in diameter, not even enough for a single foot to step on. Not only that, the distance between each log was also further apart with each progress.
Inhaling deeply, Flexy stepped onto the first log and then to the second log with no problem. He proceeded to the third, and starting from this, he had to jump to the fourth and did his best to leap to the fifth and to the safe area. Each momentum was important, and stopping was foolish.
Fortunately, Flexy managed to finish it almost perfectly, although he stumbled on his landing and almost fell.
"Phew, that was close." He wiped the sweat on his forehead. Then, he turned to Max, still with a smirk that adorned his annoying face, "How's that?"
"Well, so so?" Max shrugged his shoulders. Looking at his friend, his grin widened, "You might want to hurry if you don't want to pay me 5 grand! Oh, maybe you want to give me the money? Feel free to take your time then!"
— Thank you for the donation *Cling!* I will be waiting for your next bet. – Breeze, probably.
— Somehow, I can hear the money clanging in my ears. Huh? Is this my imagination
— Flexy is so generous. He donated 5 grand to Breeze IRL. What a good friend
— I changed my opinion, Flexy. I hated you for ruining Breeze's date, but I realize that you're such a good friend! Feel free to donate more to our kid!
Only Max read the chat and he chuckled. His viewers were indeed right. Free money was welcome!
Meanwhile, Flexy went to the fourth obstacle, the rope swing, followed by the ring fly. The obstacle had 3 rings placed at different heights after a rope. To finish this obstacle, one had to first swing using the rope to the first ring and gather the momentum to jump.
Grabbing the rope tightly, Flexy stepped back to gain any momentum he needed. Then, he jumped and swung around the rope. After a few times, he released his grip and jumped toward the first ring. He managed to grab it and moved to the second ring pretty easily.
The pain was apparent on his face. His hand must be hurting by now, but he didn't stop or give up. He quickly jumped to the third ring and cleared the fourth obstacle.
Arriving at the fifth obstacle, the warped wall, Flexy stopped slightly. He looked at it and chalked his hands. Then, he moved as far away as possible to gain speed.
Not only would he need a good grip, but he would also need all the speed he needed to reach the top of the warped wall, which was around 5.5 meters tall.
"Huff… Let's do this."
After getting ready, the orange-haired streamer broke into a run.
— He's running!
— Will he be able to do it?!
— FLEXY! FLEXY! FLEXY!
— Come on!
With the encouragement from the chat, Flexy ran up the warped wall and jumped when he was at the highest point he could step on. His hand stretched to the air, trying to grab the bar on top of the wall. However…
"Shit!"
Just a centimeter more. His hand slipped and he slid down.
— Ah!
— He failed!
— BOOYAAAAA!!
— HAHAHA! He missed the bar!
— Nooooo!! This noble me refused to accept this!
Everyone knew that Flexy had no chance to win now. Even when the orange-haired streamer returned and tried the second time, he had already wasted a few seconds from failing the first try. He managed to reach the bar this time and climbed up the warped wall.
"3 minutes 47 seconds." Max stopped the stopwatch once Flexy stood on top, and he watched his friend walk down the stairs and approach him.
Before they noticed it, some people had gathered around the course of the day. They clapped for Flexy for finishing the course of the day at a speed above the average.
However, a disappointed look was apparent on Flexy's face. He put his hands on his waist and sighed.
"I messed up." He said as he stopped in front of Max, who chuckled evilly. "I hope you mess up too."
"Hahaha, there is no chance for that," Max replied as he walked past him, patting his shoulder. "Prepare the money, buddy. I hope it enters my bank account once I stand on that warped wall."
"Tsk! We don't know until it is finished."
"That's what he said." He said and minimized the chat window so it wouldn't bother his concentration.
Standing in front of the first obstacle, Max began to stretch his arms and legs. "Alright, chat, let's finish this in under 3 minutes, shall we?"
At that moment, a notification rang.
Ding!
[FreakingNoob has started a mission.]
[Stream Mission: Finish it in under 2 minutes!]
[Reward: 5,000 diamonds!]
One of his old viewers started another quest on top of the previous one, whose reward had already accumulated more than 30K diamonds thanks to everyone's participation.
Max read the new mission given by his viewer and hummed.
Finishing the course of the day in under two minutes? Would it be possible for him? Well, it was a challenge, so it excited him.
"Let's see if I can finish your mission, FreakingNoob. For the sake of my old viewer, I will do my best." He closed the mission panel and turned to Flexy. "I am ready whenever!"
"Wait!" Flexy shouted back as he meddled with a screen in front of him. His fingers moved on the keyboard, and when he stopped, another notification popped up in front of Max.
Ding!
[Flexy has started a mission.]
[Stream Mission: Finish the course in under a minute!]
[Reward: 500,000 diamonds!]
— Holy sh1t!
— 500K diamonds?! Isn't that 10 grand?
— Flexy RICH! Flexy RICH!
— Daddy Flexy, give me a part of your wealth!
— But a minute. Can Breeze finish the course in under a minute? This is clearly an impossible mission!
— MISSION IMPOSSIBLE!!! My bad, I just have to say it
A grin appeared on Flexy's face as he looked at Max's stupefied face and the chat's reaction.
"Are you ready, buddy?" The orange-haired streamer shouted at him with a provoking tone.
Max, whose head was in the sky after getting a new mission, forced a smile on his face. This was clearly a provocation.
'A minute?'
Cracking his fingers and chalking his hands, he looked at his friend and raised his middle finger.
"Bring it on!"
"Alright!" Flexy said with an energetic tone and raised his hand. "On go! 1… 2… 3… GO!" As he finished his word, he swung his hand down.
And Max ran at full speed without hesitation.
