Greatest Legacy of the Magus Universe-Chapter 748: Wrath of Nature
The staff expanded, transforming into a towering pillar more than a hundred meters in height and tens of meters in width in the blink of an eye.
It then plunged into the depths of the ocean, taking the golem along with it.

Naturally, the aberrant creature would not be able to deal with the sheer weight of the heavy pillar all by himself.
All he could do was unwillingly be submerged into the depths, bearing the weight of the staff for as long as his undead body would allow him to.
When Adam saw that the creature had tanked his Fireball barrage earlier, he instantly knew that it would take him a long time to deal with it.
This would allow the necromancers several chances to deal with him since his mind would be mostly occupied with the golem.
And that is exactly why they had summoned it.
So the best plan of action he could come up with was to restrain the golem with the weight of his staff.
Adam turned to gaze in the direction his Fireball Barrage had earlier landed in.
That entire patch of area was steaming hot, and the surface of the water was still intensely bubbling. Seeing this, Adam's lips curled up into a sneer.
He flicked his hands, instantly donning the pair of black gauntlets that Blacky had once gifted to him.
Several moments later, three figures dressed in black emerged from the water. Their faces were pale, and their skins displayed reddish burn marks despite being drenched.
"Heh," Adam scoffed in ridicule. "Foolish bastards. Who do you think you're up against?"
Malcolm Morgan had an extremely dark expression on his face. Just moments ago, he had witnessed the golem being dragged into the depths of the water under a towering black pillar.
Recalling the golden caps on both ends of that pillar, he couldn't help but think of the weapon that Adam was wielding.
And seeing the staff no longer in the youth's possession, the suspicion in Malcolm's heart grew stronger. "That pillar… That was your weapon?"
"So what if it was?" Adam raised his chin, showing a taunting smirk.
"Where did you get that weapon?" Malcolm asked in a cold voice.
"From your lover," Adam taunted him further. "Turns out, she was just pretending to be a woman. Did you see the size of that pillar? I must admit, she's even more manlier than you."
Malcom's expression turned cruel and menacing and he spat through gritted teeth, "You're looking down on us, boy!"
"And what are you going to do about it, you necrophile bastard?" Adam grinned from ear to ear.
The next moment, without even waiting for the other side to respond, he quickly weaved another series of hand seals at an extremely fast rate.
For this next spell, he wouldn't need a material component because it was all around him.
After completing the physical component of the spell, he slammed his foot on the surface of the water, causing a large magic circle to materialize.
Rank 3 Spell: Surging Wave!
The following moment, a thity meter tall wave materialized before him, taking shape slowly and gradually, then flowing towards his opponents at daunting speed.
Malcolm harrumphed in arrogance before instructing his allies to deal with the spell. Together, all three of them weaved hand seals and pressed their palms against the surface of the water.
Ice started to form from the point of contact and spread outwards at lightning speed. Within a few moments, even the tidal wave surging towards them was covered in ice.
Before Adam's spell could even come near them, it had already frozen stationary.
Malcolm's eye flashed with ruthless determination and he shot towards the frozen wave, all the while weaving hand seals of his own.
Then, he reached the bottom of the ice wave and pressed his hands against the cold wall before him.
A large magic circle lit up on the wave, following which, the frozen wall cracked apart. Then, it transformed into hundreds of ice spears!
These spears swirled in mid-air and shot towards Adam who was standing on the other side.
The arcane interplay between the two parties had only taken place for a second or two. In that short duration, already so much had happened.
This was what the battle between Mana Vortex Magi was like!
If one side lost focus for even a split second, then the situation would be dire.
Seeing the hundreds of ice spears flying towards him with unmatched power, Adam couldn't help but praise Malcolm's ingenuity when it came to spell-casting.
Sometimes, a Magus didn't need model components for their spell if they were knowledgeable enough to use their environment as the components for spell-casting!
Adam's lips curled up into a smirk and he muttered, "Yes, this is how it should be."
He then gathered an enormous amount of mana into his palms and thrust them forward, generating two large overlapping walls of oscillating mana.
Hand of Doom: Great Barrier!
CRASH!!
The hundreds of ice spears were blocked or deflected by the swirling barrier of pure mana Adam had erected before him.
Behind the barrier, Adam was grinning from ear to ear. He had never had this much fun casting spells before.
Additionally, the more Rank 3 spells he cast, the faster he would be able to consolidate his newfound strength as a Mana Vortex Magus!
After he had effectively taken care of Malcolm's attack, he noticed the small shards of ice that were fluttering in the air as a result of those ice spears crashing against his mana barrier.
His eyes flashed with a bright light and he immediately cast another series of hand seals. The small pieces of ice in his surroundings started to tremble in mid-air before being enveloped in small magic circles.
Rank 3 Spell: Sleet Tempest!
The next moment, freezing rain and sleet enveloped the necromancers with unmatched ferocity. The small ice shards tore their clothes and bored into thier skins.
However, this alone was not enough to deal with them. After all, they still had defensive artifacts in their use.
But suddenly, the three cultists felt their backs turn cold as a terrifying foreboding feeling gripped their hearts.
They raised their heads and gazed into the sky through the obscure sleet storm, and noticed that the clouds were churning with fury.
Under their shocked gazes, the entire patch of dark sky above them lit up with a blinding light the next moment.
Adam pointed his finger at that dark patch of sky, then swiped it down, drawing the wrath of nature onto his enemies.
Rank 3 Spell: Summon Lightning!
THUNDER!!!!
