Gravity Mage with Level-Up System-Chapter 1372: I encountered my old enemy!
From MC's Perspective:
In the storage room, we both talked about the black magic scroll. I don't know why, but my instincts urge me to have the magic scroll for myself.
"Give me a second; I'll ask the lord." After saying that, she went outside the room to talk.
I remained in the same spot and continued to wait for her.
About a few minutes later, Manager Lara walked back into the room. She looked at the magic scroll before turning towards me.
She said, "The lord told me that you can have it. It doesn't have much use for her. She told me that if you want, you can sell it to the magic shop."
"What do you think?" she added.
Hearing that, I was stunned. I didn't expect my wish to come true. I looked at her and replied, "I'll take it."
"Good. By the way, the lord wanted me to give you some advice. If you want to go outside, you can come and go whenever you want. There is no need to spend the entire day here. Focus on your magic practice as well."
"She said you should try to become an official member as soon as possible," Lara said to me.
"Okay, I'll change my schedule," I replied to her.
Then we spoke for a few more minutes before she left the place. I picked up the magic scroll and placed it inside the storage bracelet.
Since it contains the wisp of forbidden wizard magic power, it will be immensely helpful to me. Then I cast aside my thoughts before continuing my work.
Time went by.
I left the storage room in the afternoon. I carried a beautiful antique clock with me. It had rich black and gold colors. I was unable to guess which era it belonged to.
But I was able to appraise it without the help of the system.
Soon, I came to the lobby. Just as I was about to leave...
"Where are you going?" I heard a beautiful voice from behind.
Hearing that, my eyes flickered. I turned around and saw that the person was none other than Susan Park. Seeing her with gloves made me narrow my eyes.
"What is she doing here?" I thought.
"Vincent Carey, where are you going?" Susan asked.
"I'm going to the antique store," I replied.
"Antique store?"
"Can I come with you?" Susan asked with her sparkling blue eyes.
She was asking as if we were meeting for the first time.
In contrast, I felt strange. Her arrogant attitude was gone. She was behaving completely differently.
"Why?" I asked in a stern tone. I'm not going to believe her just like that. I thought her change of attitude came from the duel's outcome.
Seeing that I had defeated Tom Doyle, she might have wanted to reduce her hostility towards me.
Susan Park hesitated. She sensed that Vincent Carey saw through her.
"I apologize for my behavior earlier. I never knew you were this strong. I hope we can interact better from now on," she expressed her regret with great difficulty.
My eyebrows eased. I had never thought she would apologize. At least, she was better than Jason Nicholson and Wilfred Cox.
Sigh!
I sighed inwardly. Then I removed my doubts and looked at her.
"Okay, I accept your apology. Now I'm on my way to work. We can talk later," I said to her.
Hearing my answer, she sighed. But her eyes flashed with disappointment. She knew it was not easy for Vincent Carey to change his mind.
She herself started to address him by his name rather than the "newcomer" tag.
On the other hand, I nodded to her before leaving. I could tell that she specifically came to meet me. But I'm not going to entertain her.
Who knows? There could be some plans. Last time, she and the others tried to disrespect and attack me. Now, she has changed her tone after my win.
I shook my head before coming outside. Then I walked out through the main gate and started striding towards the main street.
[Ding! Killing intent detected.]
[Ding! Coming from the right side of the host.]
A mechanical voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, I stopped in my footsteps. I was still within the area of the Silver Tower. If anything went wrong, I could still go back.
So, I turned towards my right. Then I saw an old man dressed in a mage robe. When I saw the Silver Tower crest on his chest, my pupils shrink.
"This person is from the same tower. Then why is he showing killing intentions towards me?" I thought.
A few seconds later, my eyes flashed with understanding. I almost forgot that I had one more enemy inside the tower. He is my old enemy.
"Meteor Supreme," I uttered, staring at him.
I don't know whether he heard my mumbling, but he walked up to me. The old man was grinning ear to ear.
He stood in front of me and met my eyes.
"Vincent Carey, I don't know whether you can recognize me or not, but we are from neighboring countries," he said with an arrogant smile on his face.
Hearing that, my heart raced. This guy is a Supreme Wizard. He is also an official member of the Silver Tower. So I didn't want to engage in any loose talk.
I nodded to him before leaving.
Right after, the smile on Filip's face disappeared. He thought about angering the kid to punish him. As an official member and Level-10 wizard, he could punish wizard seeds.
If that kid had disrespected him, he would have used this opportunity to teach him a lesson. Even Lord Lara wouldn't be able to do anything to him.
It's a pity that the kid turned out to be clever. He realized that it was not easy to fool him
so he decided to deal with him later.
On the other hand, I came to the main street, but my mood was a little bad. I hadn't expected to come across him. I thought it was good that I met him after my win. It must have deterred him somewhat.
"Lord Charlotte was right. I won't be truly safe until I become an official member," I thought.
