Gravity Mage with Level-Up System-Chapter 1263: I’ll be staying in the Special Mage Department
From MC’s Perspective:
The following day,
I woke up in the Gregor Mansion. The first thing I did was check my injuries. I had almost recovered to my peak state.
Then the flood of memories came to my mind. Someone attacked me last night. I stood up and rushed toward the control room.
I walked in front of the control mirror. Then I saw the condition of the room outside. Everything was destroyed. There was no ceiling. But if I continue to hide here, how am I going to explain myself to others?
Swoosh!
I appeared outside. The next second, the communication watch buzzed. I saw tons of unread messages and missed calls.
A quick gleam flashed in my eyes. People must have been looking for me. I looked at my clothes. They were comfortable clothes.
I decided to change into a uniform in the Gregor Mansion.
Shortly afterward,
I appeared outside wearing a uniform. I couldn’t stay here anymore. I decided to speak with Elder Paul; I had to know about my attack first.
Since someone dared to attack me inside the campus, no place was safe anymore. I walked out of the dorm building.
Then I saw other students gathered outside the building. Some were in uniforms and others were still wearing their comfortable clothes.
"What happened?"
"How did the dorm building get damaged?"
"Did someone attack?"
"I was asleep. I didn’t hear anything!"
"It’s the same with me!"
The students discussed how everyone was in a deep sleep last night. No one heard any commotion.
On the other hand, their conversation reached my ears. It was unrealistic. Someone must have done something.
After glancing at them, I left the place. Then I started walking toward the Special Mage Department. On the way, the scenes from last night flashed before my eyes.
I recalled being struck by coercion. My instinct was good. I was able to enter the Gregor Mansion at the last minute. If not, I would have died on the spot.
Thinking about the killer, I couldn’t help but recall Aaron Perry and Rhys Perry.
"Those two?"
"It must be them," I said to myself in an icy tone.
Shortly afterward,
I returned to the Special Mage Department. Here, everyone was discussing the dorm building incident. Somehow word had gotten out, and they thought a student must have cast a magic spell.
A bitter smile appeared on my face. If they learned it was a level-9 Wizard, I wonder how they would react.
Then I continued to walk toward Elder Paul’s cabin. While walking, I thought of a good excuse as well. I couldn’t say I was outside because I didn’t use the Teleportation Platform.
So it was better to say that I was hiding somewhere on the campus.
Creak!
When I arrived at the place, I opened the door to enter. I immediately saw Elder Paul sitting with a frown. His face was filled with worry.
Upon hearing the door open, he looked at me.
"Vincent, you’re back!"
Paul stood up from his seat. He felt a huge weight lifted off his shoulders.
Looking at Vincent Carey’s calm face, his eyes filled with surprise. He thought Vincent Carey would be scared because of the level-9 Wizard’s attack.
But he looked fine. Paul was confused. Then he asked Vincent to sit.
"Does he know?" Paul thought.
"Vincent, do you know what happened?" he asked.
"Yes, my dorm room was destroyed. I think someone attacked my place while I was away," I lied to him.
Hearing that, Paul Lin completely believed it. He and Elder Stella reached the same conclusion. Even Guardians found no one last night.
"It’s good that you were not in your room last night. A level-9 Wizard attacked your place with coercion last night. Elder Stella and I guess the attacker was Aaron Perry," Paul Lin said.
A cold glint appeared in my eyes.
"I knew it," I muttered.
"We found he was the one who used teleportation to enter and leave shortly after the attack. And he didn’t come to the Organization today."
"We suspect he will be staying inside the Perry Family Estate," Paul Lin added.
"Elder, what about Head Howard? Did you inform him?" I asked.
Sigh!
Paul Lin sighed.
"We did send him a message. I think he will contact us upon reading the messages," Paul Lin said.
My eyes flickered with disappointment. Someone attacked me. They should have taken strong action to capture the person.
But they were waiting for Head Howard to return. I knew it was all because of rotten internal politics.
"Elder, did you inform the other council elders?"
"Especially the Department of Law and Order?" I asked.
"I think it’s their job to capture the criminals. This time someone attacked inside the campus. Why was there no reaction?" I asked again.
Paul Lin felt guilty. It was not his or Elder Stella’s decision.
"The Guardians have warned others. The dorm building is currently a restricted area."
"No elders can go there. Fortunately, Elder Stella and I were able to inspect the place after the Guardians left," Paul Lin said.
"Guardians," I asked back.
Your journey continues on novelbuddy
Paul Lin nodded before beginning to explain about the Guardians.
A few minutes later,
A look of understanding dawned on me. No wonder the whole campus was quiet. The dorm mates were clueless as well.
It looked like even the Guardians of the True Elements Society didn’t trust the council elders.
"What are you going to do now?" Paul Lin asked.
Hearing that, I replied, "I want to stay here inside the Special Mage Department."

Paul Lin was surprised. Then he felt it was feasible.
"Okay, there are empty rooms in the department. You can use one for a stay until Head Howard returns," Paul Lin replied.
Hearing that, I felt relieved. Initially, I thought of staying in a rented house in the main city. But the threat of Rhys Perry and others had put me on edge.
Only the Special Mage Department was safe for me. Then I spoke about a few other things before leaving the cabin.
Paul Lin sighed inwardly.
"Only Head Howard can deal with the former head of the Perry Family," he said to himself.
