God-Tier Fishing System-Chapter 674
"That is good." Bella nodded lightly.
"Mr. Ethan asked us to come here. What still needs to be done? Should we not leave quickly?" Bella asked, confusion faint in her eyes.
"As everyone knows, this place is unique and a treasured ground for cultivation."
"But beyond that, an ancient teleportation formation is hidden here. The formation can only bear a limited number of people, so we may use it to leave the demon territory."
Ethan replied calmly, fabricating a reason for the teleportation function of the fishing spot.
"So that is the case." Bella nodded.
"Everyone is here. Then let us depart."
"Take a deep breath and relax."
"A slight dizziness is normal when using such a formation."
Ethan smiled faintly and began forming hand seals.
In truth, his voice sounded within his heart.
Teleportation formation activated. Target: Netherfall City fishing spot.
At once, a round of golden light surfaced from the water. The formation revealed itself.
A curtain of light rose and pierced straight into the sky.
In the span of a breath, Ethan and the others vanished from the water.
The river flowed on, calm and undisturbed. Goldtail fish glided silently beneath the surface as though no one had ever set foot here.
Near Netherfall Pass, Netherfall Lake.
Under the night sky, Ice and Fire Lake lay veiled in pale mist, half hot and half cold.
Water roared down from the waterfall above, scattering mist and crashing into the lake, sending up vast sheets of snow white spray.
Suddenly, golden light flared.
A large herring swimming comfortably beneath the surface and a giant loach lurking below were startled. They fled toward the depths of the lake to avoid disaster.
The golden radiance faded.
Ethan and his group stood upon the water.
Lunara, Kara, Elara and the others pressed their foreheads, their minds spinning from the dizziness.
"Where is this?" Lunara asked as she regained her senses.
"I do not know. Let us go up and take a look first."
Ethan leapt upward and landed atop the highest mountain peak.
He had not teleported directly to Azure Origin Dao Sect. That would have been too unbelievable to Lunara and the rest.
Too many things would become impossible to explain.
Though his strength made explanations unnecessary, the teleportation function of the fishing spot was a secret of his own and could not be exposed lightly.
Lunara and the others followed him. They stood upon the summit and gazed into the distance.
Not far away, a town glowed with lights.
"That is Netherfall Pass." Kara replied, surprise flickering in her eyes.
"Junior brother, you are truly formidable. You always discover powerful teleportation formations. It was the same in the Training Trial Secret Realm."
"Sister, there is no need for surprise. When you reach my level, you will naturally perceive such ancient formations, activate them, and make use of them."
Ethan answered simply.
"Everyone, we are far from the northwest of the Demon Territory now. Let us rest in Netherfall Pass and wait for Vex and the others to arrive. It should not take long."
He closed his eyes and sensed Vex’s position.
To the west. The distance was not great.
"Good."
Everyone nodded.
A quarter of an hour later.
Ethan and his group entered Netherfall City and lodged at the Peaceful Haven Inn.
Bella, Elara, the mother and daughter went to their room to rest.
Master and disciple Kara and Morwen also retired.
Ethan felt the night was still young. He found a seat by the window on the first floor and ordered side dishes and tea.
He ate slowly and drank quietly.
"Brother, enjoying food and drink alone?" Damon approached with a grin.
"Boy, what are you saying?"
"Hey, Brother Ethan. Brother Ethan." Damon scratched his head and laughed awkwardly.
At that moment, Lunara and Pyra walked over.
"Master, may I dine with you?" Pyra asked softly.
"Sit." Ethan replied, gesturing for her to take the seat opposite him.
Lunara stepped forward. Before she could speak, Ethan said, "You may come as well."
"...Good."
Lunara nodded and sat beside him.
Vixen.
Pyra cursed silently in her heart.
She did not dare voice it.
Lunara was an ultimate demon lord and seemed to be one of the Eight strange beasts, the Black Phoenix.
Pyra had no intention of provoking her.
The four of them ate quietly, tasting the dishes and tea.
From the neighboring table came lively chatter. Two rat demons were speaking.
"Brother, have you heard?"
"Heard what?"
"In the White North, many ancient remnants lie hidden in its depths."
"Right now, several ancient clans are fighting fiercely."
"An ancient war between surviving clans? Is that true?"
"Brother, have a drink. Tell me properly." The older rat demon poured wine for his companion, eager to share the gossip.
"My good brother, as far as I know, five ancient clans have emerged in the distant White North. The ones clashing now are the Riverborn Clan and the Moonfall Clan."
"I heard the second young master of the Moonfall Clan is astonishingly talented and unmatched in combat. His name is Lucien Moonfall. Recently, he stepped into the Ultimate Supreme. He swept across the ice fields of the White North, invincible among his generation. They say he is the strongest genius born in the White North in the past thousand years."
"Compared to Lucien Moonfall and Alina, the strongest genius from White Emperor City in our Demon Territory, who is stronger?"
"Brother, how would I know? Only battle will reveal the truth."
"True. Continue."
"The Moonfall Clan and the Riverborn Clan made an agreement long ago. When Althea, the eldest daughter of the Riverborn Clan, comes of age, she will marry Lucien Moonfall. Yet the eldest daughter fled to avoid the engagement. Later she was found and brought back to the clan..."
"Althea."
When Ethan heard the name, his fingers paused upon the teacup.
His brows drew together faintly.
A cold glint flickered in his eyes.
Within, calm rippled once.
After a few breaths, his expression returned to its usual composure.
He did not continue listening. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Ethan set down the teacup.
"You all continue eating. I have something to attend to."
With those words, his figure vanished.
The window beside the table swayed twice.
Lunara and the others exchanged puzzled glances.
They did not dare question him.
Silently, they resumed eating and drinking.
