Chapter 435: Chapter 435: Bright Sun Flower

"Level 30 Unparalleled Secret Treasure should be worth a lot, but it’s a pity that it hasn’t been Petified." Chen Guan was a bit regretful as he instructed Ghost Eye to continue drawing the sword.

Ghost Eye, with immense strength, soon drew six swords, but none were Petified. They ended up with six Level 30 Blood Iron Swords, which had qualities of rare, uncommon, and unparalleled, yet no solitary or Secret God were seen.

Chen Guan had Ghost Eye stop and started to suspect whether Ghost Eye’s luck was off, as six swords had been drawn, yet none were Petified.

"Seems I’m the destined child who has to rely on luck." Chen Guan thought to himself, picking a relatively small Sword Spirit, then used the Giant Spirit Power, transforming into a three-meter tall muscular little giant, and pulled the sword handle with all his might.

This time, he managed to draw the Sword Spirit, yet the result was hardly different from Ghost Eye’s draws.

Once the Sword Spirit left the rock, it quickly perished, transforming into a rare Secret Treasure Blood Iron Sword, still Level 30.

"Luck must be accumulating; next try should lead to Petification." Chen Guan picked another Sword Spirit, using all his strength, sweating from his forehead, finally drawing it out.

The result was disappointing for Chen Guan as it wasn’t Petified, with the quality not high, still rare.

Unyielding, Chen Guan tried again, only to be met with misfortune three times in a row, obtaining another rare-quality Blood Iron Sword.

"Damn it, you’re playing me, huh?" Chen Guan’s head buzzed.

Though Ghost Eye didn’t manage to Petify Sword Spirit, at least he got an unparalleled and uncommon one. Chen Guan having three consecutive rare ones was a stroke of bad luck.

He realized he couldn’t continue like this, realizing that it would be impossible to get a Sword Spirit pet under these circumstances.

"Best to take them back and have Qin Ziyu draw the sword later." Chen Guan felt it was time to cut his losses.

He and Ghost Eye worked together to move these sword-embedded rocks one by one into the Yellow Mud Island, including those rocks from which swords had already been drawn.

These rocks were so heavy that Chen Guan felt they might have some use, thinking to keep them for someone who might recognize their value in the future.

After moving all the rocks into Yellow Mud Island, Chen Guan and Ghost Eye were exhausted, nearly collapsing.

These rocks were terribly heavy; without Ghost Eye’s help, it would have been a real challenge for him to move them.

Once everything was moved, Chen Guan wandered the area, having Old Fu continuously knock around, ensuring there was nothing else to discover before setting off to leave.

"Thanks to Wang Lian’s gift; had she not come looking for Sword Spirit, I wouldn’t have thought that there’d be such treasures in this desert." Chen Guan was satisfied as he continued onward to cross the desert.

As for Wang Lian and the others, they could take their time searching.

The Golden Sand Desert was indeed extraordinarily vast; even as Ghost Eye sprinted at full speed, they still hadn’t managed to exit the desert by nightfall.

Ghost Eye was also a bit fatigued, so Chen Guan decided to stop and rest, grabbing some food.

During this break, Chen Guan’s consciousness entered Yellow Mud Island, intending to study those rocks and Sword Spirits. As he scanned, his gaze fell upon the clay figurine of the Flower Fairy he had crafted earlier.

The Flower Fairy figurine was so ugly it was hard to look at, and since it hadn’t turned into a living creature as Chen Guan hoped, he hadn’t given it much attention lately.

He now noticed that the Flower Fairy figurine had inexplicably turned into a creamy white porcelain.

"Has it turned into porcelain again?" Chen Guan picked up the Flower Fairy porcelain, examining it, but there was nothing special about it; it was merely a piece of porcelain.

"Could it be that Yellow Mud Island’s sole function is to turn clay models into porcelain? What’s the use of that?" Chen Guan felt there had to be more to Yellow Mud Island, that it surely couldn’t be so limited.

"I must have done something wrong somewhere; perhaps it’s because the figurine is too ugly, not quite resembling anything?" Chen Guan thought he might need to learn clay figurine sculpting better and when it resembles something, maybe there would be special changes.

Putting down the porcelain, he studied those rocks and Sword Spirits a bit more, yet couldn’t figure anything out, thus exiting his consciousness from Yellow Mud Island.

The day-night temperature difference in the Golden Sand Desert was quite significant, but for the Third Awakening Chen Guan, such temperature change was nothing.

Chen Guan brewed some hot water, poured a cup for Old Fu, and sipped his own slowly.

While drinking, he noticed small lights appearing on the distant sand dunes.

These small lights resembled tulips, soon covering the dunes, adding a dreamlike quality to the night desert.

"What are these things?" Chen Guan moved closer to inspect.

These small lights were indeed luminous flowers, resembling tulips, albeit in a single color—all white—emitting a white glow.

Chen Guan didn’t dare touch the flowers recklessly, clueless about their nature, and thus summoned Ming Fei.

"Beloved, do you know what these flowers are?" Chen Guan asked, pointing at the glowing blossoms.

Ming Fei observed for a while, then surveyed the surroundings, pondering for a moment before speaking, "If I’m not mistaken, these should be Bright Sun Flowers."

"Bright Sun Flowers? What kind of flowers are those?" Chen Guan asked again.

"Flowers that bloom only tomorrow." Ming Fei replied.

"Flowers that bloom tomorrow? Doesn’t that mean they’ll never bloom? These are already blooming, so they can’t be those Bright Sun Flowers, right?" Chen Guan suspected Ming Fei was joking.

Ming Fei spoke sincerely, "Bright Sun Flower is just a name describing how difficult it is for the flower to bloom, eternally hoping they would bloom tomorrow, not literally meaning it won’t bloom."

Pausing for a moment, Ming Fei continued, "Bright Sun Flowers do have a chance to bloom; however, their flowering period is short, only blooming at night, and once the sun rises, they wither and never bloom again, flowering just for one night."

"Bright Sun Flower itself is a Heavenly and Earthly Treasure, with properties to replenish energy and stabilize the soul, serving as a crucial component for crafting Nine Revolutions Soul Reviving Pill, making them quite valuable."

"Can the wilted flower petals be used as medicine after harvesting?" Chen Guan asked eagerly.

The Nine Revolutions Soul Reviving Pill was indeed a treasure, as renowned as the Dragon Tiger Golden Pill; the raw materials for crafting it were undoubtedly very valuable.

It’s just unfortunate these flowers were so difficult to bloom and wilted quickly.

"If Bright Sun Flowers are picked while blooming, they’ll maintain their blooming state indefinitely, as if time had stopped for them." Ming Fei explained.

Hearing this, Chen Guan rejoiced and reached to pluck a Bright Sun Flower nearby, intending to gather them all and preserve to either use for Alchemy or sell at a high price.

Yet, the instant his fingers touched the Bright Sun Flower, the flower and plant seemed to be contaminated, instantly turning black and withering, becoming ashes in his hand.
