God of Money: Reincarnated as the Weakest SSS Rank-Chapter 44: Someone is waiting
Chapter 44: Someone is waiting
The shot, the power, and the very quick creation of an Arkanometric Fabric made Hardrial shudder inside.
’Not only did he manage to do something that could take weeks, in a few hours... its power is astonishing.’
’Those chairs can withstand the magic of someone with about 40 points in Intelligence, but he not only pierced it without resistance, he also turned it into ashes. That’s over 50 points in intelligence.’
’As expected of a Lockward...’ He thought.
Although it wasn’t confirmed that he was from that family, if he had such a close relationship with Lord Dan, then something might have to do with it. Maybe he wasn’t from the family, but he belonged to another family just as amazing.
Laura hadn’t expected him to be so talented and powerful either, so she looked at Hardrial in shock. But she didn’t know how to phrase the question that coiled in her throat.
Hardrial did not notice her hesitation. He was looking at Louis and could see that he was very calm, to the point that none of this seemed to affect or excite him.
’He controls his temper very well.’ He thought.
He took a few steps forward with a proud smile.
"I didn’t expect you to be this good, but watching the threads and talking to someone as talented as you certainly has its benefits. Congratulations, student Louis. That was a wonderful Rune of Power."
Inside, Louis was engulfed in a chaos of scattered, powerful emotions that reached up to his throat and made him sentimental.
’I’m not as bad as you thought, Thunder God, Father...’
Inside him, there seemed to be two voices. One that wanted to proudly show off in front of the Thunder God and shoot him, and another that seemed to reproach him for being kicked out of the family.
That was annoying.
But there was nothing he could do. That’s what happens when you usurp a body. Even though that soul should no longer exist, the feelings in the body are still there, bothering him.
The part of him that came from Earth was the part that was most excited.
It was the thrill of having used, for the first time, the magic he had seen in fantasy novels.
This time, his feeling when shooting was completely different. He could feel something draining from within him and creating fire magic.
Throughout the shot, he seemed to connect with that bullet, allowing him to see the exact spot where it hit and understand its power.
’So this is the Magic.’ He smiled.
He looked at Hardrial and nodded to him. He hadn’t heard him, but he knew what to say: "Thank you, Professor Hardrial."
It was a heartfelt thank you from the heart of a boy who had once dreamed of casting magic, and now that dream had been fulfilled.
He was a man now. He had a woman who betrayed him with his best friend, and he was born again. After so many experiences, he could consider himself a man, not a boy.
But he felt like when he bought his first car on earth: it was great. As a child, he dreamed of owning one, but he couldn’t because his parents’ deaths left him broke.
But he made an effort and fulfilled his dream. He felt proud at that moment.
Today, it was the same feeling: his inner child was happy.
He wanted to enjoy it more.
"Haha, you don’t need to thank me. It’s my duty to teach you. I just didn’t expect my two students to be great geniuses." Hardrial laughed good-naturedly.
"Haha, the student’s capabilities are commensurate with the teacher’s capabilities, so you should be the first genius then." Laura joined the conversation with a joke, and after that, the three of them joked around for a few minutes.
In addition, Hardrial asked Louis to explain his feelings as to whether he was using things correctly.
He then nodded.
"How about the consumption of Mana?" he asked.
After checking, Louis replied, "3 of mana per shot."
"Good. That’s 3,4 then. Each magic shot usually costs the same at first. As you understand Arcane Magic and Arkanometric Flow, this will decrease. But for that, you’ll need quite a bit of time. It’s fine for now."
"I understand, professor."
Hardrial spoke again. "Right now, you can complete an Arkanometric Fabric in about 45 minutes on paper, which is too long. It’s not practical. You need to shorten that time to seconds so you can create them as you fight. But you don’t need to worry too much at this point. The time will come when we will train speed. For now, focus on learning the Three Basics I gave you," he said. freeweɓnøvel~com
Louis nodded. ’The current practicality is very unfortunate. If it already takes me so long on paper, how could I struggle with them? I need to think of an efficient way to solve it.’ He thought.
Although he knew Hardrial would help him, he also knew that relying 100% on others for his empowerment was not good for his growth. That’s why he kept everything he had learned in mind.
And Hardrial, keeping his earlier word that the class was over, dismissed him and took Laura. There were things he needed to talk to her about.
Louis decided to hurry back to his mansion.
As he walked through the long, clean corridors of the Academy quickly, he suddenly had to stop when he stepped out into one of the Academy’s courtyards.
All the students were in their respective classes, so few people were walking around this place. But it seemed that someone had skipped a class.
"Skipping class is never good, Mr. Dunloc." Smiled Louis, looking at John Dunloc in front of him. He then looked to his sides and behind him, to see that he had been surrounded.
"Hahaha." John Dunloc scoffed. "For you people who lack academic status, that’s naturally true." He spoke.
"Then I must assume that those who adorn themselves with dumb ornaments have certain privileges, eh?"
"Dumb? Hahaha, I can tell you’re new, Mr. Louis. And since you came in through the back door, you don’t understand how things work here." John shook himself, and two gloves appeared on his hands; they were not ornaments.
They looked extremely grotesque. They were dark red in color, with shiny black trim. Sharp spikes protruded from each finger’s knuckles.
’A martial artist?’ Louis judged quickly and looked at the people next to him. All of them were martial artists.
They all had gloves on their hands. The mana seemed to resonate with these, making them look like powerful magic gloves.
’I wonder what levels they are.’ He thought. ’Well, I guess I’ll find out before long.’
"You know, little student," John said, pointing at him. "Normally, we don’t mess with the newbies. I usually like to help them. But this time you touched a woman you shouldn’t have, you know? She didn’t even twitch at your grip, which upset my master. So he sent me to teach you a lesson."
His words had not yet finished coming out of his mouth when his body jumped forward. "It won’t be much, just a broken leg!" he roared, with a sinister grin.
