The guy unlocked the chain, opened the door, and Xie Shi went in, with Fang Yi naturally following him.

Just after Fang Yi entered, the sneaky-looking guy immediately closed the door and put the chain lock back on.

This was indeed a warehouse, but it wasn’t stocked with goods; it was filled with iron bunk beds, about five or six, enough to accommodate a dozen people.

The warehouse was partitioned with curtains, presumably housing people inside.

There were about five or six people here, some playing on their phones, others smoking and playing cards, and some eating instant noodles. When the unfamiliar Fang Yi walked in, they all looked over at him as if he were a pure and innocent little lamb walking into a pack of wolves.

Fang Yi didn’t think so, but that’s how they saw him, at least judging by the way they looked at him.

Once inside, Xie Shi’s demeanor was completely different from the feeble one earlier in front of Fang Yi. He became extremely casual, grabbed a can of beer from the messy table, popped it open, and gulped a few swigs.

Xie Shi smacked his lips and then said with relief, "Refreshing!"

Someone asked, "Xie Shi, who is this guy? Is he the newbie you brought along?"

Another person came over to Fang Yi, patted him on the shoulder, and laughed, "So you’re the new friend. First time here, let’s hear you call us bros."

Everyone laughed as if watching a comedy.

Xie Shi also laughed, clearly a bit proud. Noticing Fang Yi looking at him, Xie Shi spread his hands, puckered his lips, and said nonchalantly, "Sorry, man. It’s your own head that’s not working right; don’t blame me for that."

Fang Yi said calmly, "I just want to take back my battery."

Xie Shi pointed to the corner, "There it is. If you have the guts, go ahead and take it."

Fang Yi said nothing and walked straight over. There really was a battery in the corner, and not just one, but many.

As Fang Yi approached and picked up the battery, Xie Shi’s eyes widened instantly, "Damn, I told you to take it, and you really dared to!"

Fang Yi smiled, "Is there a problem?"

Xie Shi: "There’s a huge problem!"
