God Ash: Remnants of the fallen.-Chapter 1138: Beat down.
This was the function of the {Seal of Arbitrator} skill. It allowed him to organize and coordinate multiple magical processes simultaneously. The skill harmonized mana flow patterns, preventing interference and optimizing efficiency.
It was like having a master conductor orchestrating an entire symphony, ensuring every instrument played in perfect harmony.
And if that was true, then the possibilities were staggering.
Cain’s mind immediately jumped to applications. He could buff multiple allies at once. Maintain defensive barriers while casting offensive spells.
Layer enchantments without worrying about mana pattern conflicts. The coordination aspect alone was worth more than the raw stat boost the gloves provided.
But there was a second component he’d noticed, something about being able to extend his enhancement and defensive spells to others. That aligned with the {Mana Conduit} skill, which explicitly mentioned channeling mana to separate entities.
Cain looked at his contracted beasts with new appreciation. If he could apply his own physical buff skills to them, their combat potential would increase exponentially.
’Let’s test the limits then,’ he decided.
The Lightning Falcon was still ascending, climbing to what it probably considered a safe altitude for its dive attack. That gave Cain a few precious seconds to prepare.
He raised his hands, feeling the mana surge through the new gloves with unprecedented smoothness. {Burning Spirit} activated, but instead of just enhancing himself, he pushed the spell outward through {Mana Conduit}.
Although he could only make use of a single enchantment at a time on himself, he realized he could activate multiple enchantments on separate creatures using the {Mama Conduit} skill.
The wind enchantment flowed into Lyos, wrapping around the serpent’s body like invisible currents. The effect was immediate and dramatic, with Lyos’ speed increased drastically, his movements becoming almost too fast to follow. The silver serpent seemed to sense the enhancement, letting out a pleased cry as it shot into the sky with its newfound velocity.
The metal enchantment wrapped around Ruby’s dark coat, giving it a gilded glow.
The massive bear’s already formidable defensive capabilities increased several fold, her fur taking on a faint metallic sheen as the enhancement settled into place.
And the flame enchantment coursed onto Ignis’ grey flesh, then deeper into her magical frame, causing her eyes to widen in surprise as fire erupted around her fists with renewed intensity.
But Cain wasn’t done.
"Azure Burst."
The skill multiplied speed and reaction time by a factor of five. Normally, he could only apply it to himself, but with the {Seal of Arbitrator} harmonizing the mana flows, it became possible.
All three of his contracted beasts shot forward with supernatural quickness. Ruby’s breathing accelerated, her muscles coiling with barely contained energy. Ignis grinned widely, testing her enhanced reflexes by throwing a few experimental punches that blurred through the air.
Meanwhile,
Lyos, the blood hungry {Argent Amphithere} had become a bolt of silver lightning that cut through the grey skies.
The serpent shot upward with such speed that he left a visible trail of displaced air forming rings behind him.
The Wind Enchantment was special not just due to the increased speed it granted, but also the debuff, which was a decrease in stamina.
However, Lyos was a Mutant Creature. He had tons of stamina to burn, even compared to him.
The Silver Serpent was an absolute unit. A terrible beast.
It screeched into the heavens as gusts of blue flames burned around its body. The flames of the {Azure Burst}, providing a wicked burst of speed as it shot skyward even faster.
The Lightning Falcon, which had been preparing its diving attack, suddenly found itself face-to-face with a very angry, very fast opponent.
Lyos opened his maw and released a concentrated beam of blue flames a precise lance of comcentrated blue fire that burned almost white.
The Lightning Falcon didn’t stop. Instead, it stretched its mawbeak open, enormous threads of lightning boiling in the clouds gathering.
Then a split second later, it shot out.
The two attacks collided.
Pure destruction.
The sky split open.
Deep dark gashes appeared in the surrounding space. It was being ruptured by the tremedous amount of energy being emitted.
The rampant energy has enough force to completely arrest both Lyos’ and the Lightning Falcon’s momentum, sending them both tumbling backward through the air.
The Lightning Falcon recovered quickly, its numerous eyes refocusing as it tried to track Lyos’ new position. But the serpent was already circling around for another pass, his enhanced speed making him nearly impossible to follow.
A moment later, it shot right at the Lightning Falcon again, its venom-laced fangs piercing through the defenses of the beast to draw first blood.
The Lightning Falcon cried furiously into the.
Its numerous spider like legs struck out violently, stabbing into Lyos’ scaly back, tearing off scales by the dozen and damaging the flesh.
However, the Silver Serpent was incredibly hardy.
There was no way it would be discouraged by such a halfhearted attack.
In fact, through the subtle mental connection between them, Cain could sense that the Silver Serpent was getting even more excited.
Cain chuckled, "What a weirdo."
He watched the aerial battle with satisfaction. The enchantment was working even better than he’d expected. The mana drain was much more significant this time. He estimated that he would be completely drained in a few minutes with the amount of spells he kept active. Still, it was nothing close to what it would have cost without the gloves’ coordination abilities.
Movement caught his attention. Ignis had leaped off Ruby’s back while he’d been focused on Lyos, launching herself into the air with a burst of flame from her feet. The enhanced speed and reaction time from {Azure Burst} made her movements almost teleport-like, crossing dozens of meters in a single bound.
She landed on Lyos’ back mid-flight, somehow maintaining perfect balance despite the serpent’s erratic movements. Her grin was absolutely feral as she crouched low, preparing to launch herself at the Lightning Falcon when Lyos made his next pass.
The Lightning Falcon, seeing two threats converging on it from different angles, made a decision. Its beak began glowing again, electricity crackling around it with even greater intensity than before. This time, instead of firing a beam, the creature released the energy in all directions—a spherical discharge that turned the air itself into a lethal weapon.
Lyos banked hard, his enhanced speed allowing him to escape the worst of the blast. But Ignis, caught mid-leap, took the attack directly.
Or would have, if Cain hadn’t been watching.
{Aegis} came in clutch once again.
The barrier materialized around Ignis a split second before the electricity reached her. The discharge washed harmlessly over the shield, dissipating into the atmosphere. Ignis didn’t even slow down, using the momentum from her leap to close the remaining distance to the Lightning Falcon.
Her flaming fist connected with the creature’s side with devastating force.
The Lightning Falcon shrieked and plummeted toward the ground. Ignis rode it down, landing blow after blow as they fell.
On the ground, Cain had begun weaving his own spells. His hands moved through familiar patterns, but now with the enhanced coordination from his new gloves, he could prepare multiple attacks simultaneously.
A pleased grin spread across Cain’s face as he felt the true extent of what he could now accomplish.
This was going to be fun.
