GLOBAL AWAKENING: My 10,000x Exp Multiplier-Chapter 76: []The Girls Go to War, The Vanguard and the Dragon
The mechanical hum of the Data-Wipe Sentinels escalated into an agonizing screech!
They didn’t pause to strategize or assess the heavily armored tank standing in their way. Programmed with a single objective from the Spire’s central AI, the three Level 60 executioners launched themselves forward.
They moved with incredible speed, their arms raised as the energy blades at their wrists flared with blinding white light.
They wanted Hana!
"I said, no one passes this line!" Sia Vance roared.
The silver-haired knight didn’t wait for them to close the distance. She surged forward, her heavy boots cracking the pristine marble floor of the penthouse.
She didn’t swing her secondary short-sword. Against Level 60 entities designed to erase code, standard kinetic slashes were practically useless. She relied entirely on the Mythic-tier masterpiece Vahn had forged for her.
Sia drove the massive obsidian kite shield directly into the path of the lead Sentinel!
The chrome entity didn’t attempt to dodge. It brought its energy blade down in a devastating arc, fully intending to slice through the shield, the Vanguard, and the room itself.
The glowing white blade struck the dark metal.
There was no sound of shattering iron. There was no explosion of sparks.
The kinetic redirection matrix woven into the shield activated instantly. The massive destructive force of the Level 60 strike was violently absorbed, compressed within the obsidian, and immediately fired back out!
The shield flared white-hot! A localized wave of thermal plasma erupted from the center of the metal, blasting the lead Sentinel squarely in its featureless chest.
The extreme heat melted the chrome chassis instantly, launching the heavy machine backward to crash violently against the far wall of the penthouse.
"Aria! Flanks!" Sia shouted.
The remaining two Sentinels immediately adapted, blurring to her left and right in a coordinated pincer attack.
"I got you!" Aria replied, her voice shedding all of its usual anxiety.
She didn’t cower. She slammed her wooden staff against the floor!
The Crimson-Lotus Vestments draped over Aria’s body flared with a brilliant light. The sweet scent of cherry blossoms flooded the room, pushing back the smell of burning metal.
"Holy Chains!" she commanded.
Thick chains of pink-gold mana erupted from the hardwood beneath the flanking Sentinels. The magical bindings whipped upward, wrapping tightly around the chrome legs of the machines and violently stopping their momentum.
The Sentinels staggered, their smooth heads snapping toward the Priestess.
"Sia, their defense is specialized against physical damage!" Aria analyzed, her emerald eyes tracking the erratic flow of data around the struggling machines. "You have to overload their thermal limits! I will sustain your stamina output!"
Sia didn’t hesitate. She recognized the strategy immediately. With her stamina constantly replenishing thanks to Aria’s localized aura, she didn’t have to hold back.
The Vanguard pivoted, slamming her shield bash into the side of the first chained Sentinel!
The kinetic feedback loop triggered again, releasing a concentrated burst of dragon-fire that melted the machine’s arm clean off.
The penthouse was rapidly turning into an oven. The air warped from the extreme heat radiating off Sia’s shield. But Aria’s restorative magic wrapped around the party, a cool buffer that completely negated the environmental damage.
"This is highly efficient," Sia breathed. A fierce smile broke across her face as she drove her short-sword through the melted gap in the Sentinel’s armor.
The machine sparked violently before dissolving into a shower of white pixels.
"Commander Ryker’s gear optimization is flawless."
"Focus on the last one!" Aria called out, her hands glowing as she funneled another wave of mana into the chains holding the final Sentinel.
From the corner of the room, a loud and highly irritated groan broke the tension!
Lying upside down on the plush velvet sofa, Kora kicked her legs in the air. The tiny red-haired dragon-girl had slept through the entire breach, completely unbothered by the alarms.
She sat up, her wild hair a chaotic mess. Her gold eyes narrowed at the glowing white spatial rift still hovering above the coffee table.
’Loud,’ Kora hissed telepathically, rubbing her eyes.
She looked at the remaining Sentinel, then at the rift, her stomach letting out a small rumble.
’You interrupted my nap. And you brought terrible crunchy snacks. Bad.’
The final Sentinel managed to sever Aria’s chains and raised its energy blade to strike Sia.
It never got the chance!
Kora launched herself off the couch. She didn’t attack the machine. She completely ignored the Level 60 executioner!
The dragon-girl landed directly in front of the glowing white spatial rift that the Spire’s AI was using to funnel the entities into the room.
She unhinged her jaw, revealing rows of razor-sharp obsidian teeth.
Kora inhaled!
A terrifying gravitational vacuum formed in the center of the penthouse. The spatial tear shrieked as the teleportation data violently destabilized.
The pristine white light was aggressively stripped from the air, funneling directly into the tiny girl’s mouth like water spiraling down a drain.
Kora literally ate the portal!
She snapped her jaws shut, severing the connection to the Spire. She chewed thoughtfully for a second, swallowed, and let out an echoing burp that released a puff of golden dust into the room.
"Spicy data," she announced.
Without the rift sustaining its rendering, the final Sentinel froze. Its glowing blade flickered and died.
Sia took the opening, driving her shield forward in a brutal sweep that completely decapitated the unmoving machine!
The room fell silent, save for the heavy breathing of the Vanguard and the Priestess.
"Target neutralized," Sia reported, lowering her shield. She looked at Aria, a genuine expression of respect passing between them. "Excellent support, Priestess. Your mana distribution was perfectly timed."
"You didn’t do so bad yourself, Vanguard," Aria smiled, leaning heavily on her staff.
Hana peeked out from behind the kitchen counter, beaming proudly. "See? I told you guys we didn’t need my brother to handle everything. We are a fully optimized"
The Spire’s engine didn’t issue a warning chime! There was no visual distortion, no tearing of the air, and no dropping of atmospheric pressure.
A massive glitching silhouette simply rendered into existence directly behind Hana!
Sia’s eyes widened in absolute horror. The system had forced a hard override. Unable to funnel troops through a standard rift, the Alien AI had directly injected a heavy-class asset into the physical coordinates.
It bypassed the frontline entirely!
[System Override]
↳ Spire Executioner
↳ Level: 70 (Mythic)
The entity was a towering nightmare of jagged black iron and corrupted crimson light.
It didn’t pause. It didn’t scan the room. It simply raised a massive energy blade directly over Hana’s unprotected neck.
"Hana!" Aria screamed, her voice tearing with raw terror.
She lunged forward, reaching out with her staff, but she was too far away. Sia scrambled, throwing her shield, but the physics engine was already locked!
The executioner brought the blade down.
