Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready-Chapter 215. A Resplendent Age, the Zhou Family Appears, Depart!
At the boundary of the Milky Way, an enormous black hole emerged. However, this was not the astronomical body that most people understood as. Rather, it was a passage that spanned an unfathomable distance.
Within, waves of formidable aura poured out again and again. Under such pressure, smaller stars began to flicker, seemingly affected.
The various Outer Cosmos clans also employed their own methods to observe.
They knew all too well that those arriving through that very passage were certainly from among the top 100 starfields.
The true Great Age was about to begin with this as its node.
Boom!
Just then, a colossal bolt of lightning, stretching over an unknown number of miles, appeared right outside the black hole.
A humanoid figure then manifested. The wings on his back spread open and his white hair cascaded down.
A Celestial.
Arcs of lightning crackled around his body, making him look like the embodiment of a god.
He was so terrifyingly strong that the instant he appeared, some of the nearby meteoroids exploded outright.
The aura he radiated surpassed even that of Lei You. This Celestial had reached the eighth stage of evolution.
At the same time, another massive figure burst forth from the passage.
It was a divine bird wreathed entirely in raging flames. Its wings unfurled to a span of ten thousand meters, blazing like a miniature sun.
As it flapped its wings, boundless fire surged outward. One cry alone caused the surrounding space itself to tremble.
However, this was not yet the end.
More figures appeared.
A beast king resembling a qilin.
A lion with nine heads that had an uncanny resemblance to the legendary mount of the Buddha—the Nine-Headed Lion.
There was also an existence that looked like a human but crowned with nine halos of light above its head.
He was as radiant as a star and wherever he walked, even the Nine-Headed Lion and the Celestials had to give way.
"The true powerhouses have arrived. The effect of Separation of Heaven and Earth is also weakening. Looks like everything is about to change."
"With Mount Kunlun opening at this timing, I doubt this is a coincidence. We should seize the opportunity. If there are benefits we can grab, we act."
"Yes. If we were to compete head-on with those starfields, we would stand no chance. Fortunately, their passage is at the boundary of the Milky Way Starfield. It will still take them some time to reach here."
The Outer Cosmos beings who had arrived earlier all wore solemn expressions as they sensed the disturbance at the boundary of the Milky Way.
They knew that the stronger one was, the more powerful the effect of Separation of Heaven and Earth.
Once one reached the eighth stage of evolution—the Great Sage Realm—they would get affected by that mysterious force, even if they were in close proximity to the planets of the Solar System.
This was precisely why the truly powerful clans had to establish their foothold at the boundary of the Milky Way Starfield.
Of course, as time passed and the protection gradually weakened, the powerful clans would be able to draw closer and eventually descend on Earth.
Their original plan had been to arrive earlier, seize some inheritances and providences, then use the time gap to strengthen themselves.
Who would have thought that the emergence of a human named Lu Yuan would disrupt all of their plans.
But there was nothing they could do about the situation either.
Now, the truly formidable Outer Cosmos great clans had appeared.
The one and only final opportunity left for them was the opening of Mount Kunlun.
In the end, these lesser clans of the Outer Cosmos issued orders to their clansmen who had already descended.
If necessary, they were to spare no cost to seize whatever inheritances or providences they discovered.
Even just a fragment of anything would suffice.
Once the protection offered by the Separation of Heaven and Earth was completely gone, there would be even less opportunity left.
Very soon, under the commands of the higher authorities of their respective clans, the Outer Cosmos beings on Earth started to move and advance toward Mount Kunlun.
Though they moved rather stealthily and adopted ways to cover their tracks, the authorities still detected their movements immediately.
They relayed the information to Lu Yuan at once.
Lu Yuan found it rather puzzling. The first thought that came to mind was that the upheaval at Kunlun was too alluring to these Outer Cosmos beings. But as he pondered deeper on it, that did not seem to be the case. He then posited that the leaders of those clans were growing anxious, because even more figures were drawing close to Earth.
"So it's finally beginning..." Lu Yuan muttered with a soft sigh.
The upheaval at Mount Kunlun marked the opening of the Great Age
Once the protection of Separation of Heaven and Earth completely faded, prodigies would descend and powerhouses would fight it out.
Countless beings would contend in this world for that supreme position at the peak of the path of evolution.
The Outer Cosmos beings were moving again because they knew of Kunlun's famed reputation and this was an attempt to seize some measure of providence.
Only one item at Mount Kunlun mattered to him—the Yongzhou Cauldron, one of the Nine Cauldrons. He would never hand it over to anyone else. As for other things, he was not concerned. After all, he could not possibly claim every inheritance and providence for himself.
Lu Yuan said nothing more. He glanced at the time and realized the three-day period was over.
He stepped out of his room.
Not long after, the Golden-Winged Great Peng descended from the sky. Its aura was markedly stronger than before, and its feathers gleamed with radiant light.
Its mythical bloodline, after countless refinements, was finally beginning to reveal its true power.
The Peacock King, the Nine-tailed Fox King, and the Spirit Monkey also arrived. Under Elder Ji's lead, they reached Lu Yuan's courtyard.
Excitement flickered in their eyes. Since the Global Awakening, they had spent most of their time guarding their respective territories.
Now, this journey to Kunlun was their perfect chance to witness for themselves the so-called Land of Gods.
Jiang Ningxian was the last to arrive. She did not bring Uncle Jiang with her. She would be making the trip alone alongside Lu Yuan.
Everything was ready. Just as everyone was about to set off—
"King Lu," Elder Ji approached and spoke in a lowered voice, "We received the latest intel yesterday on the traces of the Zhou Family. Zhou Yunqiong seems to have learned of the developments at Mount Kunlun and is also heading there. Unfortunately, our men lost track of her and can't pinpoint her exact location.
"Also, Zhou Yunqiong is different from before. She's far stronger. Preliminary assessment indicates that she has at least reached the Venerable King Realm."
Since the death of Winged Celestial God, the higher authorities had been relentlessly tracking any clues related to the Zhou Family. However, the latter had concealed themselves too well and there was no way the authorities could figure out their whereabouts.
It was only in the past couple of days that leads finally surfaced.
Most importantly, they discovered Zhou Yunqiong, the most critical figure in the Zhou Family.
Elder Ji was clear that he had to report this finding to Lu Yuan.
"Zhou Yunqiong?"
Hearing her name, a smile graced Lu Yuan's lips. "She finally can't hold back any longer."
Kunlun's reputation was far too overwhelming. No one could truly resist its charm.
Not just the Outer Cosmos beings were stirred into action. Even Zhou Yunqiong had been drawn out of hiding.
However, the current progression of events was well within Lu Yuan's expectations. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
For her to remain hidden and not partake in the fight for providences across the land meant only one thing—she had gained backing from elsewhere. As for where, the answer was a given.
"While I'm away, keep everything as it is," Lu Yuan looked at Elder Ji and gave his instructions.
He didn't know how long he would be away and the Outer Cosmos beings might take advantage of his leave.
His meaning was simple.
During this period, the authorities were to keep a low profile, and focus solely on accumulating and strengthening their power.
After all, no matter what happened now, it was still only mere skirmishes.
Elder Ji nodded and said nothing more.
Lu Yuan then stood shoulder to shoulder with Jiang Ningxian, turned his gaze toward the Golden-Winged Great Peng and the three beast kings, and spoke calmly, "Let's depart."
