Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle-Chapter 1056: The Reconstruction
Diana had been watching everything from the command tower.
Victory belonged to Eclipse Domain, and thanks to that, they were able to learn the strength of their Silence Field and witness the power of the World Tree.
Though the walls were destroyed, the barriers had shattered, and many turrets were crushed, the shelter won with minimal casualties.
They didn’t even need to summon their Aegis Mech Frames.
’Still, they really attacked us when the Elite Team was outside hunting a Zombie Lord.’ Diana couldn’t help but sigh after recalling this.
Nonetheless, she immediately spread the news to everyone who had been hiding inside the Evacuation Shelter.
As soon as the news spread, the residents of the Eclipse Domain cheered!
The wounded soldiers raised their fists, and the defenders shouted in triumph.
The Overlord Alliance was defeated!
Now, it was time to rebuild.

In the aftermath, Diana’s order was clear. They had to repair, rebuild, and prepare for the next assault.
That responsibility fell to Harper and his team.
Harper was the leader of Builder Team 1, a group of survivors whose talents lay not in combat but in construction, engineering, and trap maintenance.
While others fought on the front lines, Harper’s team ensured that Eclipse Domain, and all the other Shelters remained a protected fortress.
The battlefield was still littered with corpses and wreckage when Harper arrived.
His team carried toolkits, replacement parts, and crates of materials that the crafting team had created.
They moved quickly, ignoring the stench of blood and focusing on their tasks.
"Team 1, spread out," Harper commanded...
"Check every trap. Reset what can be reset, rebuild what’s broken, and replace what’s lost. We need the defenses back online... Well, we probably have three days, so make sure that all traps are perfect. No mistakes."
His crew obeyed instantly.
Pit traps were the first priority. Many had been triggered during the battle, collapsing under the weight of Alliance warriors.
Harper oversaw the digging of fresh pits, reinforcing them with sharpened stakes and covering them with camouflaged panels.
He tested each one personally, ensuring the mechanisms would hold under pressure.
Next came the log traps. Massive timber beams, rigged to swing down from hidden supports, had crushed dozens of attackers earlier. But many had been destroyed in the chaos.
Harper directed his team to haul fresh logs from storage, binding them with iron chains and resetting the trigger mechanisms.
"Make sure the release is smooth," he reminded them. "If it jams, we lose the element of surprise."
Poison traps also required delicate work. Vials of venom and corrosive mixtures were carefully refilled, their delivery systems recalibrated.
Harper’s alchemists worked alongside his builders, ensuring that every dart, mist, and hidden blade carried lethal potency.
Metal spike traps were also reforged from manasteel, sharpened to deadly points, and soon, they were reset in concealed positions along the pathways leading to the shelter.
Harper inspected each one, since his keen eye could catch flaws that others might miss.
"Good," he said, nodding as his team finished another row. "We’re getting a lot faster than before."
Builder Team 1 worked tirelessly, sweat pouring down their faces as they restored the deadly labyrinth of traps that surrounded Eclipse Domain.
Meanwhile, Builder Team 2 and Builder Team 3 had their own assignments.
Team 2 focused on repairing the walls. The breaches left by the golems were massive, chunks of stone and steel torn away.
Under the guidance of their foreman, together with the help of the Super Soldiers and Warden Units, they removed the rubble, hauled replacement panels, welded supports, and reinforced weak points. Slowly, the walls regained their strength, rising once more.
Team 3 worked on the barriers themselves. The energy fields that had once protected Eclipse Domain had been shattered, but with salvaged cores and fresh mana crystals, they began to hum back to life. Engineers calibrated the generators, adjusting frequencies and stabilizing flows until the barriers came back into place...
Together, the three Builder Teams transformed the battlefield.
As night fell, the shelter may not be completely repaired just yet, but they were getting there...

The next day, the sound of a hammer against steel echoed through the forge within the Eclipse Domain.
The smithy of the shelter was busy, as Borek and his team worked tirelessly at his anvil.
Borek was not just any craftsman. He was Shane’s slave, purchased long ago from the Vault of Chain shop for a mere 1,600 zombie cores and 800 experience points.
At the time, his price had seemed suspiciously low for someone with his skill. It was because his dragon bloodline was unstable, eating away at him from within, leaving him frail and unable to reach his full potential.
But Shane had seen something others overlooked. With the infusion of Travis’s Legendary Dragon Blood, Borek’s bloodline had been stabilized and strengthened.
The fire that once threatened to consume him now fueled his craft.
Since then, Borek had become one of Eclipse Domain’s most valuable assets, a blacksmith capable of forging weapons and armor of exceptional quality. His creations often carried unique elemental properties... blades that burned with fire, shields that were protected with frost, and armor that resonated with wind.
Now, Borek was no longer alone. He had taken on an apprentice, a young survivor named Renz.
Though inexperienced, Renz had shown promise, and under Borek’s guidance, he was learning the art of the forge.
As Borek wiped the sweat from his brow, the door to the smithy creaked open. A runner entered, carrying a folded paper sealed with Diana’s mark.
Borek set down his hammer and broke the seal, scanning the list inside.
It was Harper’s request.
The Builder Team 1 leader had sent a detailed inventory of materials needed to repair and reset the traps around Eclipse Domain.
Manasteel spikes, Enhanced chains, and specialized fittings for the log traps... all of it required the forge’s touch.
Borek grunted. It seemed they had to pause the forging of various materials meant for reinforcing Shane’s ship...
Apparently, Shane was planning to reinforce his ships in the Blue Haven Shelter, and the workers of the Blue Haven couldn’t complete all of it. Because of that, Shane had to allocate some of the work here...
"Harper wastes no time. Good. He’ll have what he needs.
